    • @Rob165x
      @Rob165x Před měsícem

      @@nono-yw3tv This video actually made me reconsider my thoughts on my own employment. I'm a security supervisor at a chip development company. They are not a small company. My boss is a bit of a handful, sometimes asks us to do the impossible because his boss (a director) tells him to. It annoys me when he wants to protect his position so much that he ignores our pleas to not keep stacking up work on us. But at the same time, I understand that one of our senior officers f%^ked up, and he thinks I take their stance too often. Which as a security supervisor I'm also obliged to; it's part of being their point of contact to the main security company. When I had a conversation with him, I wanted to quit, mainly because I felt tired of hearing high scrutiny of our work. But then I realize that he brought into question my own consideration for the job because I seemed miserable more often than I should because I'm a bit of an empath when I hear employees want to be incentivized to stay (sometimes because inflation is not keeping up with pay or competition). It's this level of commitment to yourself where despite encouraging others to take their best interest into consideration, you shouldn't just let it bring you down and bring negativity into the workplace. Staying positive is a stringent task, yes, but it's in it's own reward. Especially as someone whose been single for nearly a decade because I keep getting in my own way. If you take on a responsibility, to be someone's superior, it's not a task that you should take lightly as the motivation of the whole has a bigger impact on your input, like it or not.

    Louis, there's something in all this you don't realize.
    Yes, your employees made the business so successful that you've got a near perfect score. Who picked these employees? Who created the business they work for? Who lead by example to create the culture that motivates them to be so mindful, respectful, and everything else you said? You know that without your employees, your business doesn't exist, and that gives you credit in ways that are difficult to fathom. But without your leadership and guidance, these employees wouldn't have been brought together and pushed to excel to this crazy level. I'm not sure his point is, or at least I don't interpret it as such as self-hatred or something.
      It's just that he truly wants to acknowledge his ex-employees' or current employees efforts, as he always endorsed them.
      People usually perceive it as cringe for the best or worst to endorse yourself even when it's true. Personally I find it healthy to be able to recognize both good-s and bad-s of who you are publicly, but people usually feel awkward to say good stuff about themselves that even when they do it's just usually misinterpreted.
      That said, I dont think Louis has any kind of self-hatred or something. He just wants to acknowledge that he's not an angel and give the people that also chose to work for him for such a long time and be great people, give them the most props to give emphasis on their endorsement.

    regarding the fotos. I had a similar situation 10 or so years ago. we had a priest as guest of my parents. he well into his 70ties or maybe even 80ties. then he showed us a small picture of his mother, that he carried around always. it was one of those sepia colored contact prints of her and him as a little boy, and it was (5cm or 2 inches across).
    I scanned it, and blew it up to A4. he has seen his mothers face for the first time in over 50 years.
    frankly, it was a really easy job, and it might have not been easy for him to even give us that picture (he of course got it back), but it meant the world to him.
