- From the western coast it's time to head inland, riding over the mountains to the city of Kalamata. But along the way, we stop to investigate the remnants of people who were were here long before those once inhabiting any of the previous sites on this journey; before the Franks, before the Romans, before even the Greeks...perhaps. Today we introduce the Myceneans - who we'll being hearing more of in the future - guided by the wonderful Pete Kelly and his continually engaging work, in this episode of

Thanks for watching, and see you one the road!
Ferdia.
Enjoyed this! Very cool to see you heading to Nichoria and some very nice camera work. Looking forward to seeing more vids!
The snorting could have been a bear?
But you would have been safe, one sight of the pink shorts and it would have scarpered.
It's a mighty talent you have.
Do RTE know of you and your work?
Thanks very much, and no I don't think anyone in RTE has found their way here yet! If you know anyone on the inside.... 😉🏍️💨
Thank you for imparting your travels; knowledge, passion and balanced views. They’ve piqued my interest enough to suggest a similar ‘GS tour’ of our own in the future. A lot of pertinent info on opening times, car park security, daylight hours etc….. certainly food for thought.
I'm delighted to hear! The GS hasnt yet missed a beat - amazing bike 🔥
Happy New Year Ferdia! Great video as always, I'm looking forward to follow your adventures in 2024!
Happy New Year, Ferdia! I think Adventure is your middle name. I appreciate that you are sharing all of this with us. I'm impressed that those ancient people assembled piles of rocks into tombs, towns and eventually castles with towers and a good portion of it still stands. With scenery like that bay, I would have built there, too. I am eagerly looking forward to your next installment. 2024 has some exciting things in store for you, for sure! I'm off to practice my saxophone.
Beautiful, informative. You draw us in as you always do with your videographic finesse. A great start to the new year. Can't wait for more.
Happy new year Molly! I wish you all the best and so much happiness for the year ahead 🥰 glad you enjoyed this wee one, I think you'll really be interested in the next one... 😶🤭😉
Wow so beautiful ❤️ Happy New Year 🥳❤️🥳
Happy new year Catherine!! ❤️
Nice surprise for New Year's Day. With each video I am curious how you capture all the camera angles you do. We see a creature on the road as you ride by on your bike. What!!!! I think,???? Unless Marina and all her friends are secretly with you filming, then you are improving your skills and editing exponentially. We are not traveling south with the sea to our right anymore, yes??? At some point did we travel east??? One more question.....if these were tombs, where do all the bones go, do they evaporate over time??? Another interesting day in our journey. Love Greece. Joy
Well if I had read the description first I would know some of the answers. Sorry.
Yes, How does that work?
@@mollylindell6009how does WHAT work??
Happy new year Joy!!! ❤❤ The bones of those laid to rest in these tombs have long since vanished, likely disinterred at some point long ago... And yes, there may be some editing shenanigans in that particular shot 😜😜
Sorry. I was still thinking about your first remark about the way Ferdia gets himself and a turtle on the road. I guess he just has to set the camera up at a specific location, film it and then go back. Didn't mean to confuse things. @@joytucker891
