  • From Sparta we head to Argos and Epidaurus to take a journey across three stages as we marvel at the ancient theatres of those cities, and at the unparalleled theatre of the Asclepieion of Epidaurus, this episode on:

Thank you, I suspect Dylan Thomas would have also appreciated his work being performed so well, in such a place, as I certainly did.

Hola Ferdia! Another great video. I love your recital of one of my favorite poems. I finally had my surgery. I thank you for your emotional support. It's been a very tough 3 years. I have to do some physical therapy but I should get better with time. Take care.
I look forward to more of your interesting videos.😂

Goddammit, Ferdia! You and your art keep on surprising us. Amazing us. You were acting but you were playing your best self and we all recognize it. You have a way of using time and space, sound and silence for maximum impact. You understand the use of negative space. As we come to be aware of the depth of your theatrical training we can see how and why you are so effective in your presentation.. Your body is your instrument. I don't know how that cat could sleep through your powerful poetry recitation..(To be fair, she probably doesn't understand English.)

Yes to the silence and negative space - as important as sound and space! So glad you enjoyed this one, was an enjoyable one to put together 😌

Magnificent stuff, Ferdia! enjoyed that Winston Churchill impression 😂 Great way to demonstrate how the acoustics worked for us watching on CZcams, quite impressive what they were able to figure out!

Wow, the acoustics of that ancient theatre is incredible! It's so good to see you back with this amazing new edition of your exciting and entertaining video series. Ferdia the great!!! :) Congratulations my friend. And I think all your studies and trainings and every small and major situation in your life has made you become the person you are right now. It's an ongoing process, we never stop growing. Be proud of who you are Ferdia. I am proud of you! ❤ Cheers

Epic episode, pal !! Really enjoyed the theatrics, the drama and the theatres. It's insane how well that sound carries, but then, you do have a good voice for it.

You ARE creating. Your ability to blend visuals, music, performance, history and culture along with whatever you "make up as you go" into a story results in very special "content". As for writing, your blog pieces are some of the best writing I've ever read. I get that writing music and poetry is intense and intimate, but I just think of your videos as a logical evolution of one who was born to communicate on many levels.

Was it all a mistake? My answer would be a resounding, "No!" All of your voice training and other education, all of your appearances on the stage, all of your successes, all of your failures, all of your tribulations, all of your joys and even your times of loneliness on the road have prepared you for and brought you to this point, making this video, where you can ask that question. I feel that if one or maybe two of the elements that I mentioned above had been different, none of your viewers would have seen this video or will see it. You would have been off doing other things. None of us would have been granted the opportunity, the honor, to get to know you and get to know your work..
When I was age 19, my parents took two of my sister, one of my brothers and me to California. One of the places we visited was the Hollywood Bowl. I stood on the stage and we perfromed a little experiment like yours. My brother went up and stood behind the last row of seats. I'm thinking he was about 75 meters away but, don't quote me on that. It seems like a long distance. I whispered something softly. He heard me clearly and whispered something back which I heard. I was very impressed with the design of that place.

Ferdia, I haven’t had a chance to keep up with all your videos but I just watched this one. Very honest and emotional ‘performance’. I don’t have the words to express everything I would like to say but your own words say so much. Keep sharing all your talents
