We are never alone. We are a part of something. I'm 70 years old and have learned that living by myself, at this age is truly enjoyable. I don't have to adjust to someone else's emotional issues all the time. I can still have friends but I don't have to live with them. I've been riding for over 50 years. I do a lot of solo riding across the the U.S. I see a lot of people that have the same interest as everyone else. The old saying that "We are more alike then we are different is true". People are just trying to do the best that they can with what they have. We are all on a spectrum. No, we are never really alone.
I really love that saying, it's at the core of this whole project I'm working on. I hope to show exactly this over the course of the travels and filming - regardless of place and culture, at the human level, we are all alike... If it can do even the smallest bit of good or realisation in someones life, I've achieved my goal. Let's hope we get there 🤞🏽 thanks for these words ❤️
Hola Ferdia! One day and moment at a time is the key to happiness. All any of us can do is concentrate on the now and try our best to make the right decisions. If any of us do our best now the future will turn out as well as it should. I believe that people come and leave our lives for a reason that is for the overall good. How can that be? I believe at the universal level everything is for the overall good. At the individual level it may seem bad but with time it may turn out for the best. Wow! You've presented a lot to unpack, here. I am sorry to hear about the end of your relationship with Marina. Who knows what the future will bring? For you, you haven't completely written it yet. In order to move in any direction, you must face that direction, let out the clutch and open up the throttle. You must also be willing to give up the point that you're starting from in order to reach a new point. The starting point becomes relegated to the past but hopefully, not forgotten. Then, you have to be willing to do what it takes to navigate those curves. I'm essentially repeating what you said in this video. I am glad that you've taken us all along for the ride and that we could be out there with you.

Hey Ferdia, just stumbled upon your channel thanks to the algorithm. I wholeheartedly appreciate your honesty about travelling, and how it can be easier doing so alone rather than bringing people along with you. Both metaphorically and physically. Travelling can sometimes feel lonely, but it is the only time I feel fulfilled and to a large part, happy. Take care. Maybe see you on the road, one day.

@@unOrdinaryWorld Sadly she's mine no longer, the Speed was a beautiful bike, but I used her for touring which she wasn't ideally suited for. 65,000km in 1.5 years! Coped perfectly though, do miss her sometimes. My main workhorse is an Explorer 1200 now, and a 2003 Daytona 600 for weekends. Just come back from riding the new 1300 GS off road in Andalusia, so I'm now kitting out the Explorer for some fruity off road adventures! So much of the world to see and so little time.

Exellente, trernenda composision de el film, I agree 💯 with clayfarnet970 comment about life and uncertainty. If we knew what's next, we would be living in a communist place. For a 20 something year old guy you have some good words and way of viewing the world, and I love it, those that look for freedom or cutting the string are mistakenly called warriors, rebels, or even insanely different. At least that's what my friends call me like that. When you put your mind into something you better be be committed or don't dou it, like when you sa it, if you are on a fast turn there are no "buts' you are on it and get it done , no pussy attitude.🏁 and that's what I do. Keep on rolling. Looking forward for a month long ride in Spain in the near future for me. Life goes on.🤙

Hey, I think well shot video. I’m riding a classic 350 in the Himalaya right now, & miss my GF who is on the other side of the world, and didn’t want to come on this trip. although it’s maybe not quite your theme, there is a report this week about a Spanish Motorcycle Vlogger here who, with her boyfriend, made the decision to camp out when they couldn’t find a hotel for the night. They were set upon by seven men, robbed, and she was gang-ra**d. 😢
anyway, something about freedom and it’s price and the unpredictability of fate.👍

At least being on your own you can do what you want when you want and who knows who you will meet on the way. You may even meet someone that enjoys doing the same as you.
