  • EVP shows how to correctly set the wastegate spring pressure on a Maverick X3. This video references the correct wastegate setting for a 2017 Maverick X3 with a stock tune. The 2018-2020 X3 R 172 horsepower models require a 7 lb crack pressure for the stock tune whereas the 2020 X3 RR requires a 9.2 lb crack pressure for the OEM tune.

    Great video. I’ve been playing with my HP tuner on my X.3 but can’t seem to figure out which value to use since it shows like four of them but that’s beside the point. I bumped up my wastegate pressure to 8 on my stock 172 horse and my boost pressure came up to a little over 15. I’ve got a wide band O2 sensor in it and a boost gauge so I can watch it and everything looks great if anything is running a rich on the top end @ 10.83 A/F. If I bumped it to 8 on the wastegate on a stock system is that about right for Boost to be 15 psi? Even with 1 maybe 1 1/2 extra psi of boost it goes liked a raped ape. If you going like 20 mph hours and punch it the back tires spin instantly. (14x10x32 SUPATV Warriors) Thanks

    Will this help with the noise that comes into play at 5000 to 5300 RPMs? Or do you guys know of a fix for this noise that sounds like a loose heat shield? The dealer told us that this is a known issue but no fix.

      Can be wastegate adjustment on this ecu reflash tuning or not?
      If it can then how much PSI it should be Set on wastegate?

    Hello. Tell me, please, how does your tuning work with standard eco and sports modes? I have a firmware stage 3R on the Maverick X3 2017. And my car in eco mode is losing in the overclocking of the fully stock Maverick X3 XRC, and on the sport mode, it keeps at about the same level! (your tuning is installed: full exhaust, fuel pump 2018 and branch pipes with BOW, firmware ECU stage 3R) Are such poor results in overclocking possible due to the stock variator? Thank you!

    • @EvolutionPowersports

    • @MidwestUTV
      @MidwestUTV Před 7 lety +1

      A factory machine with the stock tune will run the best with 6 psi because all the fuel parameters are set for that amount of boost. If these things are off by a little bit you can see a little decrease in performance because the fuel and timing will be off for other amounts of boost. It will not be a big difference if your only off by 1 psi but the machine will run the best with proper boost pressure.
