    When do you want to run a Lighter VS Heavier BOV spring? What dictates that factor? Pros/Cons to each if any?

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  Před 3 lety +1

      Great question, technically speaking, you want the lightest spring possible. The heavier spring however will eliminate the " whistling noise" at cruising speeds some hear. If you have say a 10lb spring, the BOV can technically be closed before the charge tubes have wasted the un needed boost pressure causing the turbo to still have turbo flutter. Every car pulls a different amount of vacuum, a good safe average use is our "heavy" spring. The spring will never dictate or affect the BOV operation, only the tone of the BOV's noise.

    Do you guys think I would get any belt slippage with the lvl 3 tune from AA with stock clutching? I am looking to run the tune atm I just have the BOV, and a after market exhaust from ggb.

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  Před 3 lety

      No you wouldn't. if you do it is an underlying issue.

    I have a constant whistling noise from my RPM BOV on mine that just started a couple weeks ago, my dynojet shows zero boost (PSI) unless I'm over 50% throttle, it actually will show negative boost until then. Is this normal?

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  Před rokem

      This is all covered in extreme depth in the instructions & is normal. Throttle position doesn't dictate boost pressure so 50% throttle is irrelevant to the BOV operation and how much boost you're seeing.

    Mine sounds like air is venting when im under light throttle then when I full throttle it stops and blows off when I let off again sounds like it's leaking but idk if it's supposed to sound like that under light load any input? 2021 xp turbo.

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  Před 2 lety

      Very top of the instructions covers this. It is normal. Make sure you read the instructions to make sure it installed correctly.

    I installed an rpm BOV and started squirting oil from the little breather filter

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  Před 2 lety +1

      You need to figure out why there is oil in the charge tubes, you have an underlying issue.

    • @louisvw7668
      @louisvw7668 Před 2 lety

      Do you figured the problem I have the same issue

    • @RPMPowersports
      @RPMPowersports  Před 2 lety

      @@louisvw7668 There should be no oil in the charge tubes nor does a BOV use any oil. You have an underlying issue with oil getting into the charge system. The bov is where its leaking out of.
