    Thanks for the video ! Do you think for a 195 of your kits the blow off valve is mandatory ? Or is it good without it?

    Hi i wanna know when the wastegate crack ...is the pressure continue rise à little to open it full??? Or it fully stop generate pressure ??

      As soon as the wastegate rod moves outward, opening the wastegate flapper. That's what we measure what PSI that is "cracks" at. The wastegate when pressurizing the wastegate itself will sometimes look like its pushing the rod out. But, we don't consider that proper. It's when the rod itself actually moves.

    Is it normal to hear a constant air leak at idle on my 2023 X3 DS Max? It was quiet at idle before then one time I started it I heard the air exhausting out. Dealer says its normal. Its the 135 hp base model. Thanks!

      Air meaning exhaust coming out of the v-band clamp of the turbocharger? There is suppose to be a metal "v-band" gasket there. It shouldn't be leaking though.

      I can't feel air coming out of anything, and you know hot fast everything gets hot. I was wondering if it was coming out of the wastegate? If anything it sounds like it's coming from the exhaust.@@whalensspeed

    Whats the device called that you are using to measure the psi?

    Just to confirm, setting crack pressure your using pressure not vacuum?

    Thanks for the video. My question, what would happen if you set the crack pressure too high?

    • @whalensspeed
      @whalensspeed  Před 3 lety +2

      Too high of crack pressure typically can cause an overboost code. Easily addressable.

    • @JohnWSRD
      @JohnWSRD Před 3 lety +2

      Ecu would catch the boost and use the boost controller to acheive the target. Essentially not a big deal within reason.

      @@JohnWSRD so if you drop down in fuel e85 to 95 octane when u change your ecu to lower boost to run 95 technically you don't need to drop your wastegate from 11 to 9 lbs?

    What’s the crack pressure for ws160?

    Would a waste gate cause overboost ?

    • @whalensspeed
      @whalensspeed  Před 2 lety

      If its not opening correctly, weak or compromised (binding) spring. It will cause improper boost control. Leading to that, sure.

    Is your waste actuator out yet I'm not seeing it on your website. Thanks
