  • In this video i explain that results can be sometimes achieved by using #cinema4d #polygon #modeling tools in a slightly different way than what they were designed for.
    you will get a quick introduction to the #MeshChecker feature that was developed by #maxon for preparing geometry for 3d printing, and using the Bevel tool to bevel points to create new geometry.

    There is a BUG in this tool: when you scale (increase) the mesh the "Bad polygons" disappear... Above all, if you model in low scale (cm or mm...) pay attention because your model could be correct even if the MeshChecker gives error (Bad polygons, above all).

    Nice tip.
    I am not a modelling wizzard. So I wonder how you would go around, if you want the amount of "Pyramids" you have in the example. But would have a cylinder with, say double, the rotation segment? Cause the cylinder in it self is not suitable for close up render, with this amount of segments.
