0:00 Intro
0:05 As mentioned the technician isn't quite sure how this happened and the customer did not hit a curb or an object. If you've seen this happen before or had a similar issue, let us know! He also mentioned it was an older Tesla Model S and doesn't remember the mileage on it.
0:19 The customer's insurance company paid for the damages. The technician said the customer had a very large motorhome (diesel pusher) and said they didn't hear anything or felt anything. They only pulled off as they were flagged down by another driver. Fortunately, they didn't drive too long like this and only damaged the front tires, wheels, and rotors.
0:30 The technician thinks that the customer was the one who did the bodywork. No extra info.
0:45 Lower and upper ball joints were causing the customer's concern. The customer approved the repairs to get them replaced.
0:59 The technician said the customer declined repairs and said he would be back in the future to get the repairs done.
1:05 No extra info.
1:18 I was told the sound system is 24000 watts. The owner said he was going to remove the airbags and drive without them.
1:31 The technician told the owner he should get his insurance company involved as it'll be an expensive repair for interior pieces (seats, cushions, etc.). The customer had the vehicle towed away and the technician isn't sure what was done about the damages. He might be a farmer though if he had goats that got into his truck!
1:48 The customer's truck just left the body shop and had the platinum badge misspelled on the driver's side and they were installed too forward on the bed of the truck.
2:00 The customer incorrectly installed the rain guards. They need to be mounted lower onto the top of the door.
2:00 Drivers side far vent was closed. The technician opened it and it fixed the issue.
2:19 "The plastic dust cover. It just clips onto the joint flange. This one came slightly loose. You can see it trying to spin with the axle as it’s supposed to. Then it stops spinning which isn’t what it’s supposed to do. So it was making noise because it was slipping slightly on the axle flange.
A new plastic dust cover fixed the issue."
2:28 A new tire got installed.
2:35 The customer had that little hat on the sun load temp. sensor. When it's hard it'll cause the lights to stay on (on automatic mode), and when the sensor can tell it's light/bright outside it turns the lights off (on automatic mode).
3:01 The circuit should compose of battery positive cable, voltage sensing wire, and ignition wire. The voltage sensing wire and ignition wire should not be going to the battery output location.

Yeah, I can accept the 2JZ at the end there! I am a big straight six guy! All of them! Gas or diesel! Hell, just about to do a Offenhauser 4bbl intake and EFI exhaust on a Ford 300 in our '75 F350 dump truck!
hey i submitted some clips did u get them ?
Just remember folks, the owners of these vehicles that are featured on this channel are the ones we share the road with, let that sink in.
To be perfectly honest - the sun sensor would fool me too. And the goats know better than to get into my car when I’m not around to supervise.
thats why i dont trust any driver on the road, i expect every driver around me to do the dumbest possible thing every second.
This Aussie is hoping that it's only American roads they're sharing!
It’s nice to know that The driver on the 2JZ Chevy shares the road with us 😎
thinking about that scares me every time!
Some people don't deserve to have a license
well .... a lot of people DON"T have a license (or insurance) but they still drive ..
I didn't know you had to have one to drive.
Some people don't deserve to have goats.

I'm going to kick it up a notch , some people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce lol.
After finding this channel, and seeing all the "customer declined repairs," I find myself looking at the cars around me while I drive and profiling them for what hazards they might be. haha!
I know what you mean. At least this time the guy said he'd come back; I suspect he wanted to make sure he could afford it.
Ditto. I’ve only seen a pickup truck with a wheel come off and a car have its entire rear end collapse at speed on the freeway, but these videos confirm there are many more people neglecting their vehicles and public safety. Defensive driving skills to avoid the weirdos are necessary.
@@garygolfer3243 Absolutely. Did you see that video making the rounds with the unsuspecting Kia that did a crazy jump when a truck’s tire suddenly parted ways? People are crazy, and overconfident with their skills. Lol
I used to sell auto parts at a place that also did repairs and state inspections and when you tell people that you need things to pass inspection, people would say "NO REPAIRS AND THEN THEY WOULD CURSE AND SCREAM AT YOU" they screamed and cursed at me when they came for the vehicles but sometimes they would come back a couple of weeks later to have the repairs and other things done to have it state inspection and emission done
That stuff would never pass inspection in my state. Are there states that just don't do inspections? That would explain a lot.

had no idea that the little nub near the windshield is a light sensor, neat! I know very little about cars, so I watch this channel in hopes of never showing up on it 😅
Was about to say what an idiot, but then again. Lots of people don't know all the things their car do and where the sensors are placed.
Cars have manuals.
Also, these things should get explained when you buy the car, either by the car dealer or a previous owner.
Thirdly, a lot of this should be basic driver education as part of your driving licence.
And finally: The internet is a thing nowadays.
Gotta move the vent from the "email" setting to the "bacon" setting.

I liked the rain deflectors and the silicon on the wheel, and and and... - you can't fix stupid! 🤭😂👍
That wheel is just a disaster.
You'd think the person had seen so many other rain deflectors over the years that he'd know where they go. But no.
You can apply duct tape, that will at least muffle the sound 😏
I think this is the first time I've heard of loud music triggering airbags... which is surprising that it took this long XD

I can only imagine how loud it was to trigger the airbags. The driver and passengers have to be deaf.
@@davidknight3249 WHAT?!

the Sun Sensor one makes sense to me. a lot of people forget the damn things are even there because they're still not used to that kind of thing being standard equipment, and the dashboard is a convenient shelf.
Lol, that tire caulking job was so hilarious. Even my wife was shocked and had a confused look on her face.
maybe they forgot to caulk the inside of the tire also. That might have fixed it
I give them points for trying.
at least try fix-a-flat
@@klj2382 I prefer Slime or others like that, that do not "inflate and seal" at the same time in a pressurized can. Cause here's the thing, that "Fix -A-Flat" stuff explodes tires in hot weather on the highway. I literally had that happen. Disintegrated the tire, it shredded and flew off the car at 120km an hour on a highway, as I pulled out to pass someone. I got over to the shoulder safely, but the entire outer side wall and most of the tread, was gone.
Then my ex-girlfriend's brother, who was a Mechanic, said "don't ever use any "inflate and seal" canned stuff like that, it's explosive when the tire gets hot and it does exactly what you experienced. Use this stuff, it doesn't use flammable gasses. It's a bit more work, but just carry a 12V little compressor in your trunk with a bottle of this stuff, which has a valve remover in the cap. Remove the valve, squirt this in, replace the valve and inflate. Very safe stuff." And I've used it ever since.
And he's right, if you look at aerosol cans of "Fix-A-Flat" it literally has the flammable symbols on it. Never again will I ever use that stuff, that was scary.
@@MJrocs1309 I work with a guy that RTVs the bead of all of the tires on his truck to prevent leaks. He also refuses to do oil changes, and just adds a quart here and there without actually checking the level. I'm amazed that thing has run as long as it has.
Watching this today makes me feel less dumb for having to stop at a shop today to fix what amounted to a blown fuse. Lol
That last clip had me holding my breath hoping it was one of the awesome clips and not another fail...not disappointed. That's a beautiful truck and some seriously awesome numbers!

I actually laughed and swore when I saw that silicone on the tire… 😂
The tech said he thinks it was caulking that was used lol
I just sent that to my cousin. He has a slow leak in one of his tires. I like to "help"
Same here. I wouldn't have been upset if the person actually applied correctly along the seam. However, people who decide to use silicone for things like this, aren't people who know how to apply it properly, even if it's not being used as intended.
@Just Rolled In lol I had a neighbor who used JB WELD. I was like you moron. But I've Jerry rig some stuff in my truck's. I have an 86 Ram 50 and there's no more left in the adjustment for the clutch, had about an inch of play. So I put a wrench in between the rubber grommet and the nut is and strapped it down with some baling wire and never had to replace it. That was almost 10 years ago. Lol😆
It looked like fun tack, the stuff you use on posters, to me. 😂 Nope caulking. I had to look at it again. 😊 I need new glasses.

I said the same thing when I started watching this channel about 12 months ago, but I was so wrong, every new post makes me realize I have lived a sheltered life. As someone once replied, it is scary that there are vehicles in this condition being driven around, it is scary that the owners are allowed to vote and even scarier that they are allowed to reproduce.
@@AnIdiotAboard_ Stalks are pretty easy mostly, some older cars are a headache but mid 80's on are fast once you know what you're doing. I doubt that work was done by a shop, just begging for a lawsuit and if a task takes time, they'll take time and bill for it. Work done "by another garage" is 99.99r% of the time done by the car owner or someone they know.

Cool feature of EVs like Teslas, for those not familiar: In addition to a physical brake system like any other car, they also have regenerative braking (reversing the motors to apply braking resistance; essentially turning the motors into temporary generators) which can bring cars to a complete stop. It's not as powerful as physical brakes, but I rarely find myself using my brake pedal (hence the term one-pedal driving).

Dam im surprised that alternator in the 2nd to last clip didn't cause a fire
it cant and wont do anything like that. one yellow wire is 12v input for the rotor, the second is voltage sensor and that 3rd terminal is stator output.
actually after a second look it does appear they have the battery cable connected to the output terminal so when the car is off the rotor will stay energized and drain the battery. still i would not expect a fire to occur, its just 12-16 volts.
@@_AndromedaGalaxy_ I can't even understand how that could even happen. The wiring going to the voltage regulator doesn't just disappear.
@@_AndromedaGalaxy_ There is also a way (the cheapest one) that after shorting the connection of S and L directly to the positive power, the chip in the relay will simply burn out and in this case it probably will not even suck the battery, it will just stop working. Anyway, there is a lot of what can go wrong, heh.
Doing that on some alternators will full-field the rotor and then the sky's the limit with your output voltage.

3:30 - Nice 4WD Tercel Wagon!
I once worked at a car wash (2005ish), an elderly man came in for a hand-wash in his Tercel Wagon 4WD (manual transmission). Tan with tan cloth. Every bit of chrome shining. Headliner was pristine, not a spot of rust on it. He bought it brand-new, and it only had 86k on it, never been in an accident, still on the original clutch, alternator, starter. 3:16 There's a truck that can do something few modern trucks can: carry sheets of drywall, laid flat so they don't crack. Most trucks today the bed is too small, the price tag too big.
Gotta love a long box! Can't wait to take my 91' F-150 to get a bunch of firewood.
The beds are made small to get people to use couriers and trucks to deliver their home improvement goods. All large companies do their best to create services for other large companies and to remove the DIY and replace with DIFU [Do It For Us].
@@jayjaynella4539 That first sentence is an absolutely ridiculous statement. Beds are smaller because people want a "truck", but also want seating for the entire family, plenty of space for their fat asses, and the ability to maneuver the vehicle in urban environments. Car manufacturers usually design to what they think people want. So we've got all these short bed pickups that are basically useless for hauling anything.
A lot of trucks are now made with small boxes, so it's basically useless as an ACTUAL truck.
@@JustRolledIn '94 Dodge 1500, 8' box, with home-made wood sides in stake pockets could get 3+ face cords of firewood in. With tailgate down can haul 16' lumber in with flag on end if not too flex-ey. Hitch-mounted bed extender helps here.

In a Tesla it's possible to drive without really using the brakes, the regenerative braking system is usually enough for calm driving conditions. I wonder if that has something to do with it.
I've also heard about known issues with caliper pins seizing up because of this, which is something that should be checked on during routine maintenance. (And also heard stories of brake rotors warping, which is probably unrelated).
The issue with routine maintenance is that Tesla's don't need a lot of maintenance, and for some reason you don't get notified either, the app won't even show me when the next service is due.
Im not a mechanic so i really don't know, just throwing some ideas out there.
Don't forget to throw in the fact that lots of tesla owners think their car has only 3 moving parts and therefore don't need servicing.
Exactly my thought. I've seen plenty EV's with badly corroded brake discs as they most likely aren't used much if at all.
This is something that needs further investigation because if they fail once they are actually needed it's a hazard all on its own.
They need to make those brake discs out of something that doesn't corrode, seeing as how they won't be used much.
I have a Leaf EV and can confirm that the brakes barely get used - especially the rears. The parking brake is the “drum inside a disc” type and because it rains a lot here and the drum never gets hot (so it stays wet), the parking brake drum gets filled with rusty gunk. About once per year the shoes will get stuck to the drum and it’s a fight to get the car to move. I try to keep it cleaned out by using the parking brake to make a few gentle stops in my neighborhood now and then.
@@RealCadde I think Mercedes EV's have software that periodically applies the brakes very lightly while driving to skim the rust off the discs. All EV's should have this I reckon.

currently learning to be a mechanic at my college and seeing this video both really excites and deeply horrifies me. It’d be really interesting to work on some of these P.O.S vehicles, and simultaneously extremely not cool to know that these exist on the road around me lmao
Buckle up ur gunna see some straaange stuff people do lol. Get in habit of racking vehicles before doing a steering/suspension drivability issue check ✌
John Wick's VW.....he killed it with a f**king PENCIL..🤣
Thank you LORD for blessing me w/commen sense and YOUR SACRIFICE & LOVE FOR US on this Easter Weekend! HAPPY EASTER EVERONE!!! GOD BLESS
I hope that pickup enters the 2JZ drag class at the next event. That would be awesome to see that roll up to the staging lights.
I might race it eventually! If I do, I'll be sure to record it!
@@projectinlinesix That would be awesome.
The fact that they have a pitiful fan setup and had to have the hood open tells me that both the power readouts are going to be false but that the engine is gonna overheat easily.
@@MommyKhaos It's never gotten above 190° lol. My rad setup is overkill, just like the rest of the build.
@Daddy Khaos Those engines are not known for overheating. The owner can speak a bit more to his dyno run. However, I'm experienced with building rally cars. With AWD dynos, we always had fans blowing, which kept the air moving over the vehicle to simulate driving at low speed. It was for both cooling and to get rid of fumes in the shop.
I've not seen too many people keep the hood closed with no fans trying to heat soak an engine during a dyno run.
If your music is that loud. You deserve to have your airbags randomly go off.
Much expensive is one of those sound systems? One of my buddies from church, he has a real problem with putting down the bottle. He bought a car, put some sort of system in it, the wiring was thicker than a garden hose. I have a 5.9 Cummins, and the wiring to his amp was WAY bigger than my starter wire. Last year, he pulled up to a gas station with the music so loud, it was vibrating the glass countertop inside the station. After a while, clerk looks out the window, music still going, but driver never got out of the car. She checks, and he's still sitting in the driver seat, out cold. Not knowing if he was dead or alive, or having a medical emergency, she calls emergency services. Music was so loud, that even inside the lobby with the doors closed, the clerk couldn't communicate with dispatch, she had to go to the back, to the restroom and close the door in order to communicate. Police smashed the glass, found him drunk. He went to jail, 3rd offense, he was gone for a while. He wanted me or one of his family members to get the car out of the pound. None of us did, and the car got auctioned off. I didn't go to the auction, but I'm guessing the car went for cheap, it was practically worthless, but there was a nice shiny (and deafening) surprise waiting in the trunk for whoever got the car. He got out a few months ago, no car, no sound system. Got another car from someone in another town about 60 miles away. Before he could make 60 miles to get back home, he got pulled over again, drunk driving again, 4th offense.
@@vivillager The 3rd offense within a set amount of time should be a lifer ban from owning or driving a vehicle until they prove they are totally clean and going to stay that way.
And for all the windows to shatter as well.
I'd think their ear drums would blow before the air bags did
What song was it playing?
Got to love this channel.
NOW I KNOW FOR WHAT THAT BUBBLE THINGY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASH IS FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪
1:24 I think someone was messing around install their custom sound system and flipped the occupant restraint controller.
Huh?😂nah my system just windy asf caused the impact sensors to go off
Ya while he was driving🙄
I'm going to get laughed at for this but if I was forced to choose between a $50 grand Tesla and my first car which was a 1973 Chevy Vega which I paid $200 for back in the early 80s, I'd go for the Vega.
I don't know if I would go as far as preferring a Vega. That car was a real low point.
Very close to a devil truck there at the end. 🤘🏻
