0:00 Intro
0:05 Customer drove it in like this. They ended up getting a new tire installed.
0:12 Differentials, transmissions, etc.. will have vents on them. In this case, the customer connected the feed line from the tank (supposed to go to the fuel tank) to the vent on the rear differential which filled it full of fuel and caused it to leak out.
0:26 No extra info.
0:33 The technician said this vehicle was a Skoda (didn't mention the model). The underside was completely coated in mud. The mud was dry and the CV axles were rubbing against the dry mud as well.
0:46 They cut the grass off of the driveshaft and removed it from underneath and the vibration/smell went away.
0:58 Definitely not the way to do a "lift kit" The shop refused to do the alignment once they saw this.
1:11 Kia (did not mention model). Where the rear sub-frame bolts to the car it's rusted off. This could be fixed by a good metal fabricator if you really wanted to repair it.
1:27 This lowered Jeep just came in for a service at this GM dealership but it was too low to lift it on the lift and had some questionable modifications done to it.
1:39 A piece of metal was stuck in the little flap behind this tire and rubbing against the tire causing this "violin" noise. The customer needed new tires as well and got them installed.
1:50 The technician said: "Towed in. "CS can't accelerate, CEL on". I've seen a few get bugs trapped in the MAF, so I pop the air filter cover off to discover this. Confronted the customer, and asked. He says he saw it on the Prius forums as a DIY K&N filter upgrade, along with a prefilter. Yes, it's soaked in ATF." ATF = Automatic transmission fluid.
2:02 Customer declined the rest of the work to get done on it after the technician notified the customer. They said they fix it themselves.
2:20 2800 engine hours. 2400 idle hours.
The customer paid to get a new engine installed.
2:31 The customer did not mention anything about this when it came in and wanted it re-installed. He said it caused no issues.
2:41 The customer did not get a new oil pan installed and the dealership did not warranty it.
2:54 The person who made this is a fabricator and said it took him quite a while to make. He would suggest never building this and should have installed the engine in the back instead as it's too much power for an FWD (transmission from an Impala).
3:10 Outro. Thanks for watching! - Auta a dopravní prostředky

'A violin finding key'. I would have rolled my eyes at yet another terrible customer noise complaint, only to knock a few bucks off the bill for one of the most spot on descriptions. Seriously, if Click and Clack were still doing their radio show I would have played that for them, with a bet no mechanic could identify it.
Talkin' about trying to find a noise, couldn't for the life of me figure out the clicking sound that would increase frequency, proportional to vehicle speed. Had head out the window to listen, knew it was around front end. Explored everything underneath, finally discovered a pebble stone in tire tread. Drove me crazy to find it, lol.....

@@repro7780 I think First Name Lastname was referring to a mechanical jump start, ie rolling it backwards an then letting the clutch in reverse, not an electrical battery reversal that not withstanding computer blowouts would spin the starter motor in reverse and thus not throwout the starter pinion and engage the flywheel.
Years ago, I was a security guard at a movie theater. One night, I was talking to my supervisor when we saw two guys with jumper cables trying to jump one of their cars. We went over to make sure they didn't screw it up because they looked really unsure. They were about to jump it backwards, but I stopped the guy and told him it was wrong. He said I didn't know what I was talking about and that his uncle was a mechanic and this is how he said to do it. After a couple more tries of telling him what to do, my super backed me away and said, "Let's just watch the stupid happen." Well, sparks flew and scared the shit out of the kids. Love the tire patch. Fifty years ago I was turning wrenches on Convair 580s, turboprops with propellers 13' 6" in diameter. Just for fun, we once cut two pieces out of .040 aluminum and drilled them for rivets as if making a scab patch. The rivets showed heads on one side and bucktails on the other, but were ground flat on the other side. We would glue the "patches' on front and back sides of a prop blade and wait to see what would happen when the flight crew walked around the airplane during preflight. Most of them knew they were being pranked, but it was still fun.

My mom is kinda like these people but with home improvement. She is too cheap to hire someone and tries to do stuff herself. She will paint and paint right over outlets and light switches, fixtures, you name it, and does not move or cover up any electronics so they get splattered with paint. No tape along edges either. She will mix the paint cans with a kitchen knife, then wash the knife in the kitchen sink where we wash the dishes. She hangs picture frames by hammering screws to the drywall. She "fixed" a picture of herself in a dress she has on the wall by painting over the dress with nail polish. And many other things. Any guys she hires are usually incompetent because she hires the cheapest one she can find. One time she hired a random guy she met at Wal Mart to install tile. This guy did a horrible job and ran with her money. The tile installed had so many air spaces underneath the tile and around the corners, that when you would step on a corner it would sink in and break. She would hire homeless people for landscaping and to cut grass, and those people would never finish, they would just cut the grass with the weed eater and leave the mess.
I usually watch this video twice because I can't believe what I saw the first time!
That guy who tried to fix his own tire with screws and duct tape might be a contender for Darwin Awards.
My concern would be for the innocents they take with them when the tyre blows out on the freeway. Remember folks, these morons are potentially in the vehicle next to you at 60+mph.
at least it wasn't that one hunter at our local vfw that had to wrap about 50 pounds of fresh-cut branch, his own rifle sling, and his pants belt between front axle to frame when his ford f150 shock and spring fell off traversing the trail.. we now call him Willow Jim, (yes he drove like that all way to local garage the techs had hell of time cutting branches off)
Don't they know that you have to weld the duct tape directly to the tire for it to seal?
🤣🤣🤣🤣

We all know that, "Customer said it should be a warranty replacement," actually means there was a protracted shouting match that quickly escalated past the service writer to the shop manager, and then to the shop owner.
That said, I’ve seen worse on brand new cars that the new owner didn’t actually cause. Dealer selling it anyway or oblivious to what the detailer did when they took it around the corner.
There wasn't any scratch or gouges on the pan. If they hit something bad enough to do that, there'd be other damage, even if it was just on the pan itself. The rest looked perfect.

I think you can almost guarantee that it’s happened or will happen sadly.
this episode was more terrifying than normal ! hahahahahah
I'm shocked that some of these people can even figure out how to get their cars started!
Well all you need now is the key in your pocket or purse and push a button. You don't even need to hunt around for the ignition or expend energy to turn the key. Then the car might even drive most of the way but you have to decide when to take over.
Driving is not a part time endeavor if appropriate reaction reflexes are to be achieved. The idea of someone new driving a stick shift will only be for the sincere enthusiast.
They don't need to figure out how to start a car, they just follow simple directions and memorized actions. For many of them, the problems start as soon as they want to do something they haven't been given full step-by-step instructions on, and try to apply any related knowledge without any thought or adaptation, like fixing a hole by trying to screw something over it, without thinking about how it won't hold in air if they do that.
It's easy to figure out how those cars are going to come to an end.
I'm shocked they can get out of bed without assistance....🙄
Five stars for an exceptionally gruesome collection.
The surveillance clips are the best, but a close second are the ones where the customer states a sound and it's spot-on
2:42 High centering snow at a decent speed is my best guess. Maybe they got home from work on a snowy day and didn't want to clear their steep driveway. What's next, a "old GM" 3800 in a Yaris?? 😆(No, wait!, somebody out there just said "Soon...").
Well, either way they'll have to beef up the suspension and brakes to handle the weight increase so it doesn't handle like a wet sponge and brake in time to absorb the added momentum of that extra 130lbs. But if they're going to all this trouble to mod a Miata, I'm thinking they plan accordingly. Maybe.
I have a 2002 TDI VW Bug sitting in my garage with a bad fuel injector pump, always joked with everyone that I'd sooner LS swap it than throw down three grand for parts and labor to replace the pump. Glad someone went through with it and did the swap 😂

I'm assuming it's 3 grand because they have to remove a shit ton of parts to get to it?
If that's true it's a perfect opportunity to replace a bunch of old parts w/new parts when they reassemble it.
That too will increase the value.
@@kettle_of_chris That pump is well buried, and also you have the "while you are there" issue as well, plus half the plastic parts in the way will likely break when you want to undo them as well.

A friend's daughter has a gas '02 convertible, and that thing's almost as big of a money pit as her '13 Sorrento. I can't believe the electric fuel door release on the Beetle is pretty much an old-school cable-operated mechanism, attached to a remotely-mounted motor to pull the cable!

I jacked it up and popped it out, he acted like he wasn't all freaking out thinking it would be an expensive fix! He was definitely freaking out when he came to my house! 🤣
BRAKES, not "breaks." They stop the vehicle---brake---they don't shatter it (break).
I saw the video title and expected to see duct tape.
I was NOT prepared for what I witnessed.

I love the "Angry Jeep" Monster Drink Dude-Bro Aesthetic topped off by an in-car chandelier and a Joy Plushie.
I have to say the variety in this video and the nonstop wait what are unparalleled. Aka this is one of if not the best just rolled in videos ive seen!
This was an especially good set of subscriber photos--love the mid 80s Supra and what I take to be a 1970 (or close) Lotus Europa!
Long time ago I had an '83 Celica GTS which had all the Supra stuff except the V6 and different style pop-up headlights.
The only reason I sold it was the cold-start injector valve would leak making it hard to start if it sat for a while. Other than
that it was the best car I've owned
That Beetle was great! Wonder how it handles.
dunno , i’d like to see 🤣
3:02 - Pretty awesome!
With this car though I can imagine it will result in massive torque steer and difficulty steering in certain situations. So I hope that at least they also upgraded their suspension.
After working with you guys and seeing these cars and these drivers , I would instantly become an alcoholic.
They should have used a metal plate with that tire patch.
These videos make me way more paranoid to drive than watching Dashcam Lessons. I guess people don't care they're putting themselves and others at death's door.
That LS swap had me smiling..😄😄
The screws and duct tape to fix a tire should be in the just rolled in hall of fame...🤯
Imagine if these people had horses 🐴! The poor horses
My cars in the shop right now and the technician said they've seen worst vehicles.....
He's right because so have I. My parents definitely tought me how to be responsible: Thanks Dad.
This has to be the best one yet.
I am thankful for people like this. They keep me employed and fed.
That person who has 2400 hours of idling... I mean WOW. That's over 100 days worth of just wasting diesel.
I don't even understand the circumstances leading to this. Like I'm just so confused lmfao
and yet there are people out there that fight against laws that want people to not idle excessively
Ummmmmmmmmm yup , all automobile oil pans come smashed in.
From factory. Can't opt out of it lol
1st one. You can't be serious. Wow! This is the best video yet. Love the Red Beetle.
All these rolling death machines sharing the roads with your friends and families.
The last one with the LS engine in the VW , that's just wrong to hear that exhaust sound come out of a VW! LMAO!!
German technology at its best
Just got home from getting my kiddos… perfect timing
Duct tape on a tire…. 🤔 I didn’t think it’s gonna work too well…
Perfect timing! I've been running late this week posting 😅
@@JustRolledIn I get it… it’s all good. I’ll always watch. A nice reminder of what not todo lol.
Not enough hours in the day lately 😂
@@JustRolledIn totally get that…. Especially with a lil one around.
@@chrishawkins32014 his teeth are starting to come. So he's been needing the extra attention lately. They grow up so quick 😅
2:45 - that oil pan is clearly a manufacturing defect! Come on Kia! 🤣😂🤣😂
That tyre fix could've worked if the screws were in more of a neat circular arrangement. Duct tape needs good even clamping.
All of these videos are proof that common sense isn't too common these days.
As usual I could say a lot about what I just saw, but in this video I'd like to point out that oil pan that "never hit anything" proves that it's a fairly stout construction indeed. Or well enough engineered to crumple rather than be torn off. Either way, kudos to the boys in the office (this time, we're still watching you....)
should go without saying, but I wanted to say something besides remark on that incredible Beetle...
Right, with that crumpling like that and NO LEAKS? AMAZING!
it's steel so can take a beating. many now are aluminum and just break. then the engine seizes.
@@ronblack7870 yeah, but to maintain a seal around the mating surface without subtantial leaks? I still call skookum on this one, sir. That was still one hell of a blow, if ya know what I mean...
the one on my civic must have been made out of titanium , it was dented , but the guy who changed the oil for me for years kept tabs on it , it never leaked 😮
0:13 cleanest diff EVER :D :D
I've been watching and subscribed for a long time now. This is just my favourite channel. I've been an auto technician for over thirty years and there's still new and surprising concerns.
The Beetle gets 👍👍👍👍, the other clips are😱😱🤣🤣
Man that tire patch was something else 😂they’ve never plugged anything with some actual psi. Looks like a pool float would be more their speed
