    I use One Shot lttering enamel. It is oil base. Rustoleum oil base paints mix well with One Shot - especially to make grays.

    My grandad used to paint like this (sign writing) he also used to do marbling effects too. What great skills have been lost by the passing of these artisans. Keep up the good work grandad! Love the video.

      Those techniques haven’t been lost, there are many present day masters of Signwriting and pinstriping…

    I asked our local Signwriter where I could get some brushes from....

    i always wondered what the point of random skills like chinese/japanese calligraphy were. now i understand. this is the same thing. If i could letter like this i would label everything in my house.

    Every time you look at or pick up that tool box you'll notice that "g" you don't like. I know the struggle. I can't look at my own work without criticizing.

      Yes, we are our own biggest critics- however did you know that imperfections have an interesting effect to human psychology? So, a perceived imperfection in an art piece causes some part of us to take in and want to care for the imperfect , orphaned work- it’s what makes some of the best known works successful in history, it’s a strange thing

      Tanua Riley mostly One shot. To get grays I found that using white rustoleum with one shot, which produces a nice gray.

Lol 😁 Still love the Craft though & to watch my fellow "Brother's of the Brush" keep it going on & on...

      Man, in years past when I'd be tattooing 14 hours a day in Sturgis, my wrists would hurt so bad, I'd shove them into a cooler of ice and water. God that helped a lot.

      @@BengtRosini13 should have taken up pinstriping, the only derogatory occurrence were my pockets wearing out from stuffing all the hundred dollar bills into them!, never too late, my buddies that were tattoo artists take to pinstriping like a duck to water, ever since my new design brushes came onto the market…
