    HOLY CRAP!!! It's Bob Parsons! My best friend and I went to sign school in 1982. Just like thousands of other letterheads we read every single word in Sign Craft Magazine and Bob became a steady source of inspiration. So glad to see you are still painting! Thank you for this video. Wouldn't that have been amazing back in the day?! Thank you for sharing your talents with the rest of us all these years.

    I like how you didn't worry about the spacing, and the artistic value held sway over "standard" letters. Sounds like you want to trim your new brush a little bit, but just hadn't yet when you made this video. Awesome job and attention to detail ...

    Great Sign Painter, I've seen a lot of his stuff in Sign Craft Magazine over the past few years. Super nice Script. I wish I did more handpainting, but most stuff now is either vinyl or Digital Prints.
    Went to LA Trade Tech back in 1991 where I learned how to paint sings. Great times.

    I'm an old school signwriter I always used an old magazine to pallet my brush. I also kept a small cup with mineral spirits for poster paint and a cup of turps for enamel. In case the brush started sticking

      Do a search for Mack Brushes. The brush is about a #5 grey squirrel hair quill in a normal graduated- length set. I believe the Mack Series is 179

    • @bobparsonsartist564
      @bobparsonsartist564  Před 7 lety +1

      1-Shot slinger I used a regular can opener deal, the kind you'd use for a tuna can. It makes a beautiful cut...nice and smooth.
