      @@rickbendi8709 sure 😊 it’s always nice to watch stuff develop in detail. But then the video of the hair dresser window I reverse-gilded came to about 3 hrs (already cut down), guess nobody wants to watch such lengths, with the exception of LotR movies maybe…

      Thank you. And for the record. I would watch your glass leafing video. It’s something I always wanted to do. But was never really taught. I’ve done leaf on glass but , but it’s not the way it should be done. I outline lettering then after it dries I brush the varnish on the inside and put the leaf on. Hack! I know . But I’m out of my element on that. But I’d love to see it.

    Thank you for sharing the entire process! It takes you less time to paint a door than it does for me to design something like this on the computer. Old School, by hand, wins! Watching your letters come to life is so satisfying. Much better than point editing fonts for hours 😅 the pinstriping at the end is FIRE! 🤩🙌

    • @rickbendi8709
      @rickbendi8709  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you so much!! I don’t know what point editing even is. 😳 just do a fast pencil sketch on paper, then take your” stabilo all pencil “ and draw it on a sign or vehicle . Then start painting. If you have a good sketch, the paint job will look nice. Don’t over think it. Get back to free hand sketches. You can do it!! You sound like you have passion. And that’s all you need!!! Have fun!!! Thank you for watching!!

      @@rickbendi8709 unfortunately, my freehand sketches look like my 4 year olds drew them 😅 hence why I design on the computer. Thank you for your encouragement!

      No. I used to occasionally, but not any more. . It changed the flow of the paint, it got heavy ,quick. Didn’t see the benefits of it. Although, try it ,and do some research . Some guys use it. Thanks for watching 😎

    A very pleasing video .... very pleasing. I started out hand lettering and always have done a bit of it, but got shifted over to vinyl and digital for the most part. Now I have to letter a 1940's vehicle so I have been obsessing about that. They request me to use hardener so One Shot will cure faster and it can be ceramic coated. I never used hardener before. Anyways, watching you work your magic and listening to the background music was calming to me. Thanks for the video. BTW, do you have any idea which background music you used?

    • @rickbendi8709
      @rickbendi8709  Před 2 hodinami

      Thank you for the kind words! Let me just say you don’t need to use hardener to have the lettering ceramic coated. My customers ceramic coat my jobs, and I never use hardener . I don’t like the way the paint flows with hardener. So I choose never to use it. And my Ronan enamel holds up just fine. I’m sure 1 shot will also. I would let the paint cure for 10 days after lettering ,before ceramic coating over it. As for the music… my son does my editing, I’m not good with computers 😬it’s a free background music you can get on line. Thanks again for watching and good luck with your lettering!!!😎

      Depending on the weather. “Humid “ or “ hot”. You can add a few drops of Penetrol. It’s a flow enhancer . It works well in Extereme conditions
