My mom just recently got out of a relationship with a nice guy. He would call her at least twenty times a day, when she doesn't answer he starts texting her, first he begs her to pay attention and if she still doesn't reply at this he begins calling her a whore and accusing her of cheating. He stalked her apartment and tells her she can't live without him. To make things even creepier, a week after they started dating he bought her a promise ring and told everyone they were married. He even bought himself a ring to stage the whole thing. In the end she left him because he tried to kidnap her after being ignored for weeks. He said there was a nuclear bomb and that if she didn't leave with him she would regret it and die. My mom obviously told him to grow up and leave her alone.

My suspicion is that this was a pretend breakup that went wrong. She left to make him "prove his love," but he didn't know the game and let her go. So now she's stuck. She can't admit it, or she'll reveal how manipulative and narcissistic she is, but she wants him back. So she's finding ways to stay in his life- like these texts. Sad and sick.

I definitely don't understand nice girls or how their brains work but they're more likely to meet you online or during your schooling days. Nice guys happen in both public and online.
I got to conventions and such. Anime, comic, Renaissance Festivals, Dungeons and Dragons games, ect. and the fedora wearing knights are scary to interact with. They know no bounds and are more forward and bold in person. It's like they know you can't escape them unless you just leave whole place entirely. At least you can block online I pretty much instantly block the second I see any weird messages.
But dude its so different in person, cause if you run into them in person they'll stalk you all day, attempt flirting, attempt touching, all while in person. Although I usually go with my older brother and he's a BIG TALL dude so he sorta scares anyone off. I also usually have a big group with me. But ohmahlord when we split off to do things the worst thing to run into by yourself is a nice guy. They never get the hint when you literally say you have a boyfriend/girlfriend. And it's so creepy uuuuuuhg. It's also not fun cause there's been stories of them sexually assaulting women. I'm sorta short and I'm underweight, if anyone tries anything I'm pretty much dead. I carry Mace but I don't bring it to all conventions per the rules.
I think I have a few stories on them but most of them are simple and not very entertaining but geezus some of those nice guy or neckbeard stories are scary to think about. Online though they're a laugh easy to block and make fun of, in person though I'd be afraid they'd assault someone. Both are psychopaths though lol.
Edit: also forgot if you wear any type of memorabilia they'll spot you at the movies or store or just walking down the street. They somehow use it to "cozy up to you". Rockbands, video games, anime, Marvel/DC, TV shows ect. They just latch onto you. Blegh.
