    I got one of these in black. I really love it. It’s bigger than my 2017 Jetta S and it feels more solid going down the road. It’s a great car for a smooth ride from point A to a point B. I added tinted windows, upgrades sound system plus some nice custom Seat covers to it and upgraded the rims to 20 inches. Added few little tweaks here and there and it’s breeze to drive very smooth, turns on a dime and has just enough power to cruise along while listening to your favorite music and the sunroof is just awesome! Do keep in mind this car is a cruise economy car not a sports car. If your looking for a sports car I would go for a Gli but if your looking for a comfortable ride while getting 400 miles to a tank on gas? Well this is the car. It gets lesser gas mileage then my Jetta 2017 but the tank on the r line is 13.2 gal, so 400 miles to a tank is not bad at all and it runs good on 85 but I would recommend keeping it 87 if money ain’t tight like mine some times

    I bought a 2018 Alltrack a couple of weeks back. Had to take it in to repair the shark fin antenna that had been damaged prior to my taking delivery. The dealer gave me a 2019 1.4T SE Jetta as a loaner until my Alltrack is fixed. I have to say, the Jetta is really a nice car! Peppy turbo engine and handles great. I still like the Alltrack better overall (I'm more of a Wagon guy - and the 4motion AWD on the Alltrack is nice to have in the Denver area). One thing to note for potential Jetta buyers - the outboard rear headrests aren't removable or adjustable. They protrude into the view through the rear window quite a bit. I lowered the middle headrest all the way down and it's fine - but the design of the outboard one's wasn't really thought through very well. Not a show stopper, but something to note.

      @lego4virgo Před 5 lety

      I think, in a way, it 'forces' you to use the backup camera more. You can see some things that are taller than the sight line of the Jetta rear, but then find yourself using the camera more. Personally, I just stand up in the driver's seat as much as possible and look back.

  • @audiofooled
    @audiofooled Před 4 lety +1

    The new Jetta in neutrals like Pure White, Pyrite Silver, Deep Black and Platinum Grey really are very nice. Very minimal and unobtrusive styling, while still retaining a hint of class in the minor body lines and accents. They really knocked it out of the park this generation!

  • @rgfisher21
    @rgfisher21 Před 4 lety +1

    I'm 72 years old and have owned a lot of cars in my life. New and used, but I saw this car in tornado red and was forced to get one. It is a fun car to drive, has power up the wazue and comfortable to ride in long distances trips. It handles really well, corners with almost no lean and when the turbo kicks in it practically pushes you to be back seat. Of all the cars I have owned I have never had so many comments about how great the design is and the over all sporty look. To me though it is the color red that gives it that feel. Looking at the white, it just doesn't look as sleek. I have come out of welcome stations for different states and had people just standing in front of it wanting to know all about it. This isn't your fathers VW. I'd say I average a couple compliments on the looks and design per week.

    We purchased this car for our son and I've been driving it daily while he's away. I am pleasantly surprised by how the car handles and drives. We drove it over 400 miles each way to visit him in San Antonio with no issues at all some of it in pretty bad rain downpours. The gas mileage was outstanding we only had to fill up one time each way. Overall in my opinion VW provided a lot of bang for the buck.

    Love your detailed videos. Looks like they were going to add a spot for a DEF filler at 7:57 🤔 overall, I think it’s a decent car but lacking in some areas considering it’s a 19. No rear air vents or at least usb charger, especially in an upper level trim? A 16 Cruze has that. Not thrilled the arm rest isn’t adjustable like a typical VW. Love these rims a lot better than the SEL or SEL Premium rims.

    Great car I just got the S, it replaced my 2016, and I can tell everyone it’s much better, a couple things not mentioned is those bumpers on the center console door flip down for more storage space, and the mileage, blue scores ect when you press the car button on the center display, there was a question I had besides cosmetic and the differential, are there any performance advantage to the R line, does it have a sportier suspension, and is it lower than standard?

    Thought this was boring and bad looking car as well. Looks way different in person. Once you drive it you realize what the car is made for. I got mine $20,250 out the dealership. Drives smooth and quiet, excellent seats and good quality everywhere you touch inside the cockpit. I get 40+ mpg daily. Love the night drives in this car, people who say the lights are like Hyundai etc, you have to check them out in operation. Feels like younger brother of A3.

    I recently just traded my 2013 CC R-line in for one of these and boy was that I mistake. My CC had been giving me some issues so swapping it out for something New seemed like an awesome idea. I didn't have much cash to put down at the moment and I still had a little bit left on the back end of the CC. What that being the case I was told that the 2019 Jetta R-line was the only thing that would work for the deal to happen. So I foolishly took the deal but tried to return the car after a week of getting a good feel for it. Basically the car is really light weight and Small, and doesn't give you a solid feel which my CC offered. It's also unbelievably slow and 1.4T Engine that it has is a major downgrade coming from the 2.0T. The 17inch Rims and tires don't help either, the wind feels like it's gonna blow the car away on the Highway and the standard audio system is a joke. Moral of the story I'm Now stuck with well equipped collage kids car for the next 2 or 3 years.😡😡😡

    I really like the new Jetta and I’m really sad that this car won’t come to Europe. But what I don’t like about the American VWs is the fact that you see that VW is trying to make it a way more cheaper than it should be. Like in the trunk where there’s a lot of blank metal. Here in Europe VW would never sell a car like this but due to the fact that they compare theirselves with Asian car makers in America they try to keep the production cheap. They spent the most of the money for the technology what is good because a VW runs and runs and runs... but I don’t like seeing people judging on VW because they sell so cheap cars when they don’t even know a real VW for the full price. The VWs in America are adapted for them because they want cheap cars with the newest technology and better basic equipment

    I really like the classic look of the Jetta… And have now for several years… But I have always worried about reliability… I know they now have a long warranty… And that would save you from the cost of an unreliable Volkswagen… But it wouldn’t save you the headache of having a car in the shop all the time or a car that leaves you stranded numerous times - they don’t say whether or not you get a loaner under the new warranty if you have to leave your car for a while… I had a friend about three years ago with a Volkswagen CC sedan that was constant trouble he finally unloaded it and said never again…Since this 1.4 L turbo is now across the line and has been in service for several years now… Maybe that will help reliability…

    I like the cockpit style driver side. But the rear end is a turn off, and it's about time they changed the fob yet with the fob changed comes increased prices for replacements. Between my wife and I we own 4 VW vehicles. Youd think they'd have hydraulic pistons front and rear to assist in good and trunk lifting. I mean it's a 2019 r line right?

      Duke Pies talker 2012 Jetta tdi, 2013 passat sel, 2013 gti and a 2015 bettle r-line. I'm currently hounding a guy in my area about selling his 2014 phaeton.

      They used to have hydraulic pistons front and rear but they cheapened the jetta in 2011and removed literally everything.

      Yeah my 03 jetta has hood and trunk struts. The mk4's trunk is a work of art compared to this shit. Non protruding hinges, hidden wires, screws with fabric over them to match the soft trunk liner that they hold in place for crying out loud.

      Just watching ffs My mkv has the same and I absolutely love the trunk hinges on the older vw cars. I’m quite disappointed in the cheap extruded steel hinges they put on the new cars that crush your cargo.

    Can the R-line be upgraded with a better radio or dual screen?. It a nice trim but that radio looks like it came out of 1980 buick or something

  • @patricktravelandcarvlogs680

    Hi mike my gf is getting a brand new vw jetta r line. That’s because she had a 2017 vw jetta gli but it was totaled because it was stolen by her mechanic and they found it all stripped in a mobile home park it broke her heart.
