I've watched about 10 videos on reviews about this 2019 jetta, and this is by far my favorite. I love the delivery of this guy and how he talks about the different compenents of this car.

Excellent on gas! I can fill up on a Saturday and drive back and forth to work with added errand runs and by Friday I’m on a half of a tank of gas! Let me add that my commute is 30 minutes one way! I love my car!!!
My commute into work today - I averaged 46.7 mpg
These new Jettas can get killer gas mileage.
With high test gas my 2016 gets 45 MPG on the Highway , I had mind for 3 years trouble free . And put on rear tires to pass inspection , and of course oil changes. That has been it and with the clutch it has power .Only complaint if you need work or maintenance do not bring it to the dealer , There bad and will take advantage of you big time . Example just 2 tires 400 bucks its a jetta not a Mercedes , Took it to a tire shop house brand 171 bucks out the door . For the money its good you like the car

crazy how the us considers 46.7 mpg as good. my vw jetta does 55mpg minimum
@@dermotbrennan6633 you also some how forget to mention that it is either diesel...or the 900 cc engine that's made for EU market wich is poo in matter of power..goes to 100 kmph in like 13 seconds+.
Kyp Sunrider yeah but 60mph is as fast as we can go over here. it does the job. its a 1600cc engine in mine.

That driver side roof grab handle is an ease of access feature...very useful for an older people that had like artificial hip replacement surgery...my late father used it every time and always said thank god it's there cause it was very hurtful for him to exit or enter the vehicle...my guess is that it also helps in those situation to put the weight pressure on chassis rather then on an opened door which can cause broken or bent door hinges...people with such difficulties used to grab the opened door frame to assist themselves while getting in/out of the vehicle...as long as i remember, and i was born in 1977., we had a golf in our yard and all our golfs had drivers side grab handle...it's that simple but lifesaving small things in a car that keeps us smiling and ultimately owning a vw vehicle, i guess...love the review btw

I have a 2019 Jetta SEL, luxury car at a reasonable price so far I am getting 41 MPG.
As of the 1.4 engine 147 Horse power 183 torque, it’s more than enough.
I am thinking of buying another one.
maher bashawry Hi! Is the cabin quiet? I currently have heard mixed reviews. I have a 2016 SEL Hybrid which I have leased. Several people have told me not to buy it, but look at the 2019 Jetta. There seems to be a lot of wind noise with my car. Thanks!
My car is quite, and drives perfect. The cabin noise is excellent. I am very happy with my purchase. If you are around Houston I will let you drive my car as much as you want.
maher bashawry - Thank you for your information and offer to test drive it. I live in IL, so it’s a bit of a distance . Thank you, anyway. It will be interesting to test drive and see how it handles, rides and check out the stereo system. If I would purchase it, I would go with the SEL. It’s what I have now and really like it. What octane gas do you use with It? Right now, with my hybrid, I have to use a high octane for the turbo injection.
I am using 87, and I drive in the economy mode all the time . I am getting 41 MPG 60% highway 40% city. I have a 2018 corolla I stopped driving it since I bought my Jetta.
The adaptive cruise control is amazing even in heavy traffic, it slows down and accelerate without pressing the gas pedal. The beats sound system is very good. The lane departure is very effective, the blind spot protection brings you back to your lane if the is a car next to you ( of course you can override it ). The Apple CarPlay is amazing. Believe me you will love the car.
The engine power 1.4 turbo is more than enough.
Unfortunately the SEL trim does not come with fog lights.
Usually when I watch car videos I say "cut the comedy" but I'm subscribing, somehow this is working.

This car is more fun than Corolla... 100% Because the transmission is better than CVT transmission... So I love the Jetta 2019... The BEST... ,👍👍👍

I don't consider him a reviewer because he is never critical on any car. Feels more like an infomercial than a review
It’s built on the same platform as the Golf, as well as the Tiguan, Arteon, A3, and TT. It’s legitimately a baby Audi. Just bought mine after the transmission on my Fiesta ST blew up. It’s a little floaty feeling compared, but other than that it feels like I upgraded from a 90’s Honda to a modern BMW 😂. VAG knows how to do small turbo engines right. It makes about 40 less HP and it’s a bit heavier, but the 2 extra gears from the auto and the same torque make it feel pretty much the same. It falls on its face at about 5k getting on the highway, but I really don’t do that often anymore. Maybe 3 times a month. Perfect intro into the VAG family

From the outside I was expecting some resemblance to the Audi A4 (given the relationship between the two cars), but when the video started rolling, it started looking more and more like a Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra lovechild.
A lot of people don't like the auto "stop/start" feature. If you decide to turn it off, will it give you any kind of annoying warning that it's off?
as i know problem is it resets every time you restart car, so you have to turn it off every time
@@ALEX20hoc I understand that if you want the system shut of, you must do it every time you start the engine. I have no problem with that. What I WOULD have a problem with is seeing a flashing light, or warning, on the dash scolding me that I'm "destroying the environment". That was my question. I guess that I'll have to test drive one to get the answer to my question.
@@chrisbaldwin5477 no you wont get anything like that, its just an annoyance of turning it off every time and how VW push this car killing feature to lower their fuel usage and polution numbers

Driver’s side handle is to assist a less nimble person in and out of the vehicle.
I currently drive the SE Jetta - Love it! My next Jetta I want the SEL (digital dash), not necessarily the Premium with those fake exhaust tips in the rear.

if you have had a mobility problem you would realise why that handle above the drivers door is so needed to get out of the car
Not bad but this new Jetta looks HUGE. Jetta´s were compact vehicles but now they have become almost full size sedans.
We like big cars in USA...no one likes a can of sardines EU style.

@@Vostop I am sure it's adequate. I'm not even saying I don't like the car I'm seriously considering buying one. I just wish it had about 20 to 25 more horsepower I think that would make me feel better about it

It’s a great car and the digital gauge cluster, 8 in display, and ambient lighting are first in its class, I love the features of this car.
@@Vostop yeah I have not driven it yet. I'm planning on test driving one within a week or so. It would be my first VW. I've been in them before but never owned one myself

Do you know if the transmission system is sealed? Or is it simple to check and replace the transmission fluid?
Glad to have you back watching our videos! We film and produce a new video on a monthly basis unless there's a special event like a car show where we can do a lot of mini-reviews. Since we're an automotive group we're only reviewing the products we sell so we always try to catch the "latest and greatest" new cars being produced in our lineups. As far as the transmission is concerned...I didn't see a trans dipstick so I'm guessing it's sealed...but then again I didn't look too hard..:) Steve
Love the prop rod to keep the hood open.
like many other, the one problem is the centre console compartment is sticking too way back into the back and hamper the back leg room.
The audio sometimes is too soft and sometimes too loud....

don't knock it till you drive it...it's Audi light....it's not a CVT engine but same gas mileage as one...the turbo engine is a gem but emits some audible darth vader like breathing when at high gear (D7) and low rpm(1200) when putting more weight on the gas...otherwise I prefer the ride over the civic (and easier to get into the car) and the mazda (a lot quieter and spacious) ...lets wait and see how much the GLI is

Does anyone out there know why this model has a one tone lighter colored interior whereas all the ones available are a two tone Gray Black interior. Is this a European version or possibly a custom trim for the commercial.

ducman748996 0-60 in 7.7 seconds, not bad for low horsepower. Torque is what matters for get up and go, not horse power. Horse power is for top speed normally
That’s quicker then my 2.5 but the 1.4 felt weasy in my sons 2017 Jetta. I’ll have to test drive it. But they look good on the road! Thanks

The stereo on anything below the SEL trim is absolute garbage! Had the 2016 Jetta Sport and re-lease a 2019 R-Line. Nice car, drives fine, some nice safety adds, proximity sensor door locks BUT the stereo system BLOWS. The 2016 non-Fender stereo on the Sport was perfect for our needs and included SiriusXM in the head. This stereo is a JOKE. You will have to pony up a few thousand more for the better entertainment system. What a shame.
