    Thank you for your thorough review. I know it was four years ago but I'm looking at a few used 2019 r-lines. Your video was very informative and gave a great presentation of the car. Thanks.

    As always, incredible review, Tyler! The Jetta sure does seem like an extremely solid competitor in its class. Also, I absoultely love the R-Line appearance trim on all VWs... They add a very sporty exterior appearance while still retaining the same great fuel economy numbers. Honestly, I would imagine sales numbers to increase quite a bit for the Jetta, especially considering how much it adds to the compact sedan class in terms of technology, space, and fuel efficiency. Keep it up! 👍🏽

      I like the R-Line too, it’s a nice slot between just a regular Jetta and the GLI. Like you said you still get great fuel economy but it looks the part, sporty.

      Rick B. You don't have to do anything? Every car needs maintenance. If you don't you're an idiot. I've owned several brands of cars and I've had VWs out last some Toyotas. People are brain washed into thinking just because its Japanese its the only way to go. Also VW's transmissions are Japanese....

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  Před 6 lety +4

      Regular maintenance is the most important thing. Do not listen to the manufacturers claim of changing the engine oil every 10k miles or more. That’s crazy. If you want your car to last change that oil every 3-5k miles. Regular maintenance is key.

    • @thedude2897
      @thedude2897 Před 6 lety +3

      N&T Auto Reviews I've actually sent several samples of oils to Blackstone in the past. All samples from 10k and 5k. As long as you are using a high quality filter and full synthetic oil (not a blend) if you change anything below 8 you're really wasting money. There was hardly any difference between the 2. Nothing that would justify changing early. I've tested Vavoline, Castrol and Mobil 1. There's nothing wrong with 10k changes as long as its good full synthetic oil. I wouldn't go anything over that though and would never use the Mobil 1 so called 20k oils.

  • @GeeeBeeee
    @GeeeBeeee Před 6 lety +1

    I really wanted to stick to VW but between the new Dieselgate findings (testing emissions with a TDI vs an F-150 diesel on caged monkeys) and my 2016 GLI burning oil every 1000 miles, I'll just terminate my lease, eat the disposition fee, and go to a brand that also funds AMERICAN workers! My GLI also came from Puebla and it feels pretty crappy compared to a Golf R (obviously German parts all around and assembled there). Let's not forget VW North America severely undercuts our market with the slushbox 8 speed versus the 7-speed DSG on the upcoming Arteon (good luck).
    I'm done with VW North America.

      My 2016 GLI burns oil every 1000 miles requiring a top off. I'm filling it with 0W-40 Mobil1 which is rated for VW as well as Audi (same oil recommended in 2.0T A4's).

    Unreliable. I bought it two months ago. Already the panel broke off and had to have it repaired. The brakes make this awful sound which the dealership said is normal. Maybe for a 10 year old car it is. I'll post a video of the sound later.
    And for all you new owners, there's a recall already with a "sealant.". Guess water leaks in. 3 dealership trips in less than 2 months what a mistake :(

It's boring...perfect US consumers and baby moms, college students and all of that stupid ass economy shit... VW has DESTROYED the beloved Jetta car that people had fun with for years and loved to tune and modify. You can't do NOTHING with this piece of crap.
