Marty is without a shadow of a doubt a diehard car man. Love his dedication to this nugget. Also love the fact that Scotty is 1) a tuning legend, and 2) does not fit well in a midget II. 😆 Excellent content as per usual gentlemen. 👊🔥

Absolutely loving the variety of personalities and attitudes on this series. Marty's "go get-em" focus, Moog's Marty-fan-boy faith, Dave's hopeful-but-fearful giggling and Scotty's "this is whats happening, this is what we'll do" mattter-of-fact-ness. Great viewing and great problem solving.
I hope I'm speaking for everyone when I say that this thing is too cool NOT to boost. I gotta respect the time crunch, but once there is more time, it would be amazing to see this thing get a proper turbo setup. Keep up the great work lads ✌️
gotta agree, this thing with a turbo and VVT would be an absolute shitshow
well they have the whole turbo setup just need to install it. that probably comes with it's own set of hickups

From what I remember the plan was always to boost it and still is, they just didn’t have time before the shoot.
Some stronger rods would be nice.

You guys really need a coolant vacuum filler. It's a huge time saver and a lifesaver with issues like this.
We have to use it on every EV because of the huge airlocks in the battery packs.
Ended up using it on every cooling system now and it's perfect don't even need to bleed the system

Yeah, 3 transformative tools that once you use them, you will wonder how you ever managed without them and be angry at yourself for not buying sooner:
1. Crank trigger.
2. Vacuum brake bleeder kit.
3. Coolant vacuum filler kit.

Hey guys, just so you know that copper pipe you used for the radiator piping ought to be changed out after the commercial as the different metals will cause the aluminum to corrode.
This is true but they are using antifreeze which always has anti corrosives
Worked that out with our MR2
@@oplefirem Anti corrosives are like anti perspirants. They slow down the issue, but one way or another, something is going to get moist.
@@King-Kazma Let's worry about something of value or significance rather than a copper pipe in an already multi metal cooling system.
It's funny that I knew this because of PC water cooling and not because of working on cars 😂

I love this proper cooking without a cookbook with ingredients gathered from everywhere. Around 12:20 Scotty is doing this, but also on the mechanical side Marty you have done a lot of this.
And because of the time, it is so tense again and again. Great content Marty and Moog!
40 HP! It'd be really cool to hear a turbo spool through that tiny straight pipe so it can make 65 HP. You know that it's doable.
it's a 1 liter so with everything happy and maybe some cams a turbo should be able to push it over a 100 right
@@ThaJay It'd push however much you'd want it to push with the right internals, turbo, tuning, and fuel, but I don't see why it wouldn't be able to push 100 HP with the right parts.
Sorry to burst your bubble people, but what the Might Car Morons did is a waste of time and money. 3 cylinder engines have an odd shaped crank that courses a lot of problems when trying to make horse power.
@@maisydaisy9970 yes, thats also why some of the factory Daihatsu 3 cylinders made over 100hp per Liter...

This must've been the toughest build you guys did so far. The Civic build was extensive for what it was but this was one hell of a journey and I reckon it's not over yet, amazing stuff!
What a schlogg!!! .. But you guys showed that being a car guy tests your patience, ingenuity, problem solving, knowledge, and above all, your persistence! .. Doing easy bolt ons is satisfying, without a doubt. And they're made to be easy and fun, and you pay for that ease of installation, with quick results. But there is absolutely no other feeling on Earth compared to the one you guys must've felt after overcoming challenge, after challenge, after challenge, and coming out on the other end with this absolutely beautiful little nugget... A working little nugget!
This is MCM of old - the Midget build has been absolute gold. Awesome work all round guys and true dedication. Marty, Moog, Dave, and Scotty absolute legends!
