@@misterjanrey1877It's still incompetence nevertheless as PATAFA is part of the government, PH sports system under the government almost screwed Obiena's career. The country is still lucky that Obiena still chose to play under the PH flag despite receiving offers to play under the US flag.

There seems to be little to no animosity between these pole vaulters. Honestly, if they're weren't competing in tournaments, you would think these athletes are just a bunch of friends touring across Europe.

I remember in 2018 when they were talking about battles between Duplantis and Karalis, unfortunately he has stagnated 😞. Duplantis is the goat!!!! BIG athlete who will sometimes have bad days. However, Obiena and the American Nilsen seem to be in good shape, surely in big races they will exceed 6m (Nilsen did it this year but in small races).

To all those who didn't know, this man nearly didn't give a chance to shine by his own countrymen because politics the support system in the Philippines to the athletes is not right (not all). It is just this man didn't give up his dream to be the world champion. Many Filipinos would also become world champions if given a chance by their own teams.
