You didn’t show what happend next. This guy got second yellow card and was sent off, then VAR called ref to the monitor, referee told to bring back the player who thought that ref made a mistake and will let him play. When he came back ref showed him straight red which made the suspension longer 😂😂
VAR at a ground like that??
@@bobbyg8891 he meant the one before when the Legia Warsaw player stamped on the guy on the ground
It happened again in January 31st, 2024, when a Moroccan player, Sofyan Amrabat, was sent off after receiving two yellow cards. The referee called him back after checking VAR and gave him a straight red card. The game was between South Africa vs Morocco in African Cup of Nations. Morocco lost.
@@waryaawariiri1812exactly
IMO a bad use for VAR. VAR shcoul be used to avoid ref mistakes that change the outcome of the match. There is no difference for the match whether the player is out on second yellow or straight red. All that did was causing addifional confusion and waste some time.
They should rather just porlonged the suspension on the green table after the match.
The moment he realized he was already booked 😂 the joy turned into sadness, the one who scored the goal.
Yes, it was that time he knew he fucked kwkwkkwkwkwkwwk

The Ten Commandments are called the moral law, (most of us are lying thieving blasphemous adulterer at heart and deserve hell) you and I broke the law, Jesus paid the fine. That’s what happened on that cross.

@@dove3853 how did he know that I make sin?
Next, why would somebody die because of your mistakes and sins? It is nonsense.
Even the referee was laughing
@simonfreeman308 I think even current referees hate that they have to give yellows for shirt off celebrations
The Roy Keane red card is outrageous. He had one thing on his mind that game and that was to hurt Haaland. The way he got in his face when the medics were around him is savage!
5:15
As a amateur referee I got goosebumps. What a amazing decision and referring 👍🙌
Agreed. The presence of mind to take note that a yellow card offence had occurred, allowing advantage to develop, then realizing that same player committed the second yellow card offence some 15 seconds later. That's a lot to take in the middle of a sprint down the field to follow the play. Excellent refereeing.

Aaaactually, that's against the rules.
If a referee gives advantage, then he cannot give a card for both the situations: From which the advantage arose AND for the situation afterwards.
Those are two seperate instances and you can only give cards for either of them.
Often misunderstood, since even on CL level this happened (Ajax vs Chelsea 2021, where Ajax got 2 red cards (second yellows) in a similar situation).
@@TIMxisxHERE I hope you’re not a referee because that is absolutely not true. You can go back and caution a player for a reckless challenge even if you allowed advantage. It happens all the time. It’s rare that a player makes two reckless challenges in about a 10 second span but if he deserved a caution for both challenges, then get gets two cautions and is sent off.
@@bully3628 Hold up, read it carefully. This is about giving TWO cards for a situation after and before advantange.
Of course, if you give advantage you can always draw a card for that situation afterwards. Everyone knows that.
However, if Tackle A happens, you give advantage, and then tackle B happens, you can only give a card for either A or B but not both.
That Roy Keane faul on Haaland should have been a send off for life.

Absolutely stoked to see the double yellow from open play. A similar case happened a year or so ago and some were saying you can't do that. You can absolutely do that.

That’s only in the Case of “reckless” fouls if I understand the rules correctly tho, had the first yellow been for stopping a promising attack the ref would have been in the wrong, right?

I'm not a ref but at 3:15 both of them should have got a red card.
Ikr because that was a stop of a clear goal scoring chance
@@ssrevoltyt idk about rules, at least yellow card for the guy grabbing the pants. I've seen yellow cards just for touching others and they did a cinematic fall.
@@FOWSTNah, the other guy should've gotten a yellow, not a red
If anyone should have gotten a red it should have been the guy grabbing.
As the guy being grabbed wasn't in a position to score or advance the attack in an immediate fashion, grabbing him is just a yellow offence. The boot to the side is a reckless offence and is a straight red. It sucks but you when people break the rules, you just gotta make sure you don't break them worse. Had he grabbed his hand away or tried a little harder before going straight to the boot to the ribs then he would get a yellow at the worst.
No matter what dirty tricks your opponents play you cant just kick people in the ribs man. Ref signalled advantage so if your attack failed, you're getting a free kick regardless and he's probably getting a yellow. Your red kills your attack instantly and gives them a free kick.
3:35 How haven't I seen this until now 🤣🤣
