You are a genious!. It works on a probook 6550b. I did it by booting from a USB with FreeDOS, after restarting it shows some alert messages indicating that information was lost and it is correct, the serial number and UUID were erased but it works, I managed to enter the BIOS.

You probably run "shotgun.bat" from "all" folder but it can be fixed. If you made key first all you need to do is run flash drive with files made by presing "make key" in first "output" folder. There should be file "dos.bat" if you run it from prepared bootable DOS USB(or HDD) by doing "cd output" and then "dos.bat" you will get menu with 6 options. By chosing option 5 you will bring back serials numbers or if dane for first time reset BIOS password without messing system serial numbers and BIOS will work just fine with no warnings on startup.

Hello, I have an HP Elitebook 9470M (made in 2016) that has a locked BIOS and wondering what procedure you recommend to clear the BIOS password? I have been looking at using a test chip clip procedure to modify the BIOS using the RCUnlocker tool? Do you advise this one or another?

Hi, did anyone get this method to work booting from a usb? Either from an external hdd or a flash drive? My 1040 g1 has an m.2 slot and this is going to be a bitmore costly to do needing a spare ssd
For people that have a 6560b. I picked the 6550b and it worked! Also, be ready to always be greeted with a message that alerts you that your system doesnt have the serialnumber and such anymore when you boot into windows or bios (which is no big deal since the main issue was solved)

Não aparece todos os arquivos quando descompacto a pasta. Só aparece esses arquivos: HPBR-WIN32 e na pasta USB tools esses dois aquivos: USB Image Tool Helper.dll e usbit32.dll

There are not all the files in the USB image tool folder. It's missing a ton. Rufus did allow me to create the USB it looks like though

I have the problem that if you reset the bios, and it allows it to work, but after a few days of use, it returns to lock the bios and the screen turns black.

Is your model not on the list? Use the 'Make All' button to create all posible
keys Using your UUID and SN. This will output them to the '\output\all' directory.
This will also create shotgun.bat file. Boot to this thumbdrive and CD to '\output\all\.
Run shotgun.bat." Maybe it will be help for somebody. Didnt work for my probook. Now i need to desolder my bios chip and reprogram it myself to make it work. You can always buy already programmed chip on ebay and solder it yourself for password removal. Hope that will be helpful.

bios is mx25l12845emi different than 2560p and 2570p is not on the list i tried add manually but would not pass me trough . from the time when i try to do key ... usb locked only efi and ipv4 ipv6 available is read hdd only when i did it in msdos and config for 2560p and trough efi I could go just to folder "all" but looks empty in efi.

I used this video for my HP 4410s and something strange happened to me:
I maked the step 1 (0:35) but I plugled it in my HP, start it from USB, typed DOS, choosed (1)FIRST RUN, then type 16 (Probook 4310, the nearest to my HP Model), it didn't work, but it showed to me the S/N and UUID (in my BIOS don't appears), then, when I had to type that numbers (1:59), they appear automatically, including the model of my HP.

After I click Restore and Select the HPBR I get the message Error! Could not lock the volume (Code: 5)! Please close all open explorer windows for this device. Access is denied. What should I do? I am logged in as Admin. I changed the permissions for Read Write Execute for All.

It works like a charm, on HP Probook 6550b, as for Rufus on Win10 not having MS-DOS, I have selected Free-DOS.
