Thank you so much! My bios got corrupted, I downloaded the bios, plugged the flash drive into my computer then it shut down for good. Turns out my Ram chip was burnt, and messed up the process of BIOS recovery. Installed a new ram, but didn't turn on. Tried the keys shown in the video, managed to get into the BIOS recovery. Awesome!

It the first time that I actually chose a laptop maker for the future. This is just soo easy without desoldering something in other to change the system!

Saved this one as I have a hp laptop to look at soon with the same issue. A few years ago I had a laptop with the same problem, opened it up and disconnected the bios battery for a few minutes then reconnected it. Started up again afterwards.

Lenovo also have BIOS recovery, it's called Lenovo CRISIS bios where it will flash only boot block from USB drive. Unfortunately it's not available for public only for service use, so it's hard to find necessary model leaked.

Hi sorin i have 2 elitebook 8570p cap lock and num key flashing and fan spinning fast did made usb for recovery and tried all the keys you tried but no luck can get it to recover the bios. Any suggestions 🙏

Hello. I have been following you long time and learn a lot of staff. I think your videos are awesome and I want you to thank you for sharing your experience . I am a graduate of Electronics Engineering Technician program. I got a job at repair service for a big compony. We don't really repair, we just replace a faulty parts in Laptops. I want to advance in my carrier , I don't think I can do it in my workplace. I have been learning a bitt of web development, I learned some material for CompTia Certification. However, IT is so big and confusing. There is web development, there is sys administration, cloud and PCB design and just electronics it self . All of it is so exiting to do. However, it is so hard to chose which path to go. I end up knowing a little bit of each and it is kind of useless because it is not enough knowledge to land a job in any of the field . People say to chose the one you like the most and focus on it. Well I like doing all of it. And the pay in those fields is almost the same. What would you chose ? I just want to know your opinion. Thank you

My 2 cents for you: you have to do what's better for your soul and spirit, money are not always the best way.
I was programmer for 3 years, earning double the salary as now, but I was bored to death.
If you like that way, then go for it and don't hesitate, the experience will nice to have it on your CV, otherwise do what you like most, to enjoy everyday going to work.
Second tip - open your own shop/company and learn, learn and learn again. In IT you will never be bored, always you will get a challenge, it's a Sisyphus job, rinse and repeat.
I have a desktop HP prodesk G3 600 MT and upon boot up I have blank screen and after few seconds the fan are spinning at full RPM.
Do you think that this is a symptom of corrupted bios?

I own an HP Notebook 15-BS008NX Laptop. I decided to officially update the BIOS through HP Support Assistant. Little did I know that updating it is risky compared to regular Windows updates, even though the update is through HP.
So, my laptop booted to BIOS update, and after a few minutes, the update got completed. I was shown a message that it would restart, and the screen might be blank, and LED lights would flash.
However, my laptop's screen was blank with no backlight, and it's been more than 2 hours. I thought it might be stuck, and it was midnight. I was forced to turn it off.
Later in the day, when I tried to turn on my laptop, it would turn on with a blank screen (no backlight), but the hard disk appears to run.
Moreover, my laptop's caps lock, escape key, Windows key, and F4 key don't work (before updating BIOS). Is there any alternative?
I need to get this fixed ASAP! All my important, very valuable data is stored in it.

When you tried the win+v key, first time, the feedback flash light changed. Looks 5long 2 short.
The first error screen is likely the BIOS update save in a small partition on the main storage drive. Probably a good idea to re-run HP BIOS update in the OS one more time to clear out the bad BIOS update stored in the main storage drive.
I have the same issue but when I have the usb inserted and press next the screen goes back to black and nth happens. Any other step I can take or prob a physical bios issue?
for this job better use flash drive with LED indicator.
Hello, I have a lenovo legion Y740-17ICHg, I have a problem with the graphics 2060, when the test is forced on it, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, only a blue screen appears, I don't know what the problem is, I used it on the intelov uhd graphics, on which works without problems, installed windows 11 on it. From your experience, do you have any idea what could be the problem?

If I had to guess, I'd say that perhaps there was a BIOS update pushed through Windows Update (some OEMS do this), and the laptop was running on battery power during the BIOS flash. If the battery died in the middle of the BIOS flash, it would definitely cause this fault. That's why I've never been a fan of auto updates on Windows laptops.
most laptops i've seen do not proceed with the bios update if a charger is not plugged, but who knows, this model might not do that.
@@giornikitop5373 Very true. Perhaps the computer was shut off mid update. That could cause a failed BIOS flash, too.
Bro i need help, Hp 250 G9 bios is corrupt, i have followed the instructions using win+v, Win+b, B only, V only, ctrl +esc, and nothing is getting the recovery tool to start. I am sure i have downloaded the correct bios. Now its comes on but stays on a black screen, no caps flashing or anything indicating that something is wrong, but i am aware that it was busy updating before a colleague decided to unplug USBs and cables from the laptop. Please can anyone give advice? I've done this in the past with Alienware which i had to rebuild the bios files but this HP i dont seem to win.

Hello, I did a Bios update for a Lenovo laptop model lenovo v15 g2 alc ryzen 5-5500u with the application from the official website, all the instructions on how to load appeared and it got stuck, the package spins and there are 3 lit keys, namely, caps and num are missing, I pressed the Acer reset button, I removed everything from it and it still does the same, I also saw your version on the video, I can't do it :(((
Next time once you are back in windows go to windows update history and check if a firmware update is reflected.
I'm using Elitebook but my caps lock is constantly on. When I press and hold power button the light goes off but as soon as I release power button it comes back
This method won't work when you have damaged hybrid/core. I had HP with 4000 series AMD APU on bench. Only way I could get a picture of that thing was forcing factory prog mode in hex, laptop showed display to flash internal blocks plus SIO chip then it went dark again. Pendrive/keyboard trick wouldn't do anything I tried it on first basis. I have also repalced SIO chip to make sure but that particular laptop behaved the same and I was 100% sure that SIO chip was working(pulled and reprogrammed from working board).
wow i never tried the V key.. always Win B on hp for me or 4 arrows on older 2011 ones.

Can anyone help me with hp probook 6450b with same problem
HP has all but called me a liar. They want to charge $50 for a support incident. They say the bios is "software" In any conception of the world bios is part of hardware. I have done this before but cannot remember the keys to get to it. The bios has other entries such as enable usb charging and multiple other settings. The one I want is to restore to original factory settings. I HAVE DONE IT but have forgotten how. Help really would be appreciated
Still confused on why so many machines are losing/corrupting the BIOS. I don't recall this being such an issue in the past, but many repair vids are diagnosing/fixing BIOS issues. Hmmmmm....
Pretty shameful that a repair shop couldn't handle reading an error code.

Knowledge is power. In their case lack of knowledge.
It may not be profitable for them to do anything it is not a quick fix and involves research, when you have other clients waiting for screen replacements and such
Really makes me wonder how some computer shops can stay open, if they can't even fix easy faults like this. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
