Yes! It worked like a charm :)
When performing a BIOS update on a 15-n221so the system halted and i was forced to remove AC and battery to power it off after ~10 minutes. Created the BIOS recovery USB as shown in this video, and voila...the damn thing was working again!

I found out how to use the bootable USB! To use the bootable USB you created for your faulty HP laptop I found the following useful info: Insert prepared USB into the HP laptop it is intended for. Make sure the laptop is turned off and the charger plugged in. Turn on laptop whilst holding the windows key and letter B on the keyboard. The system will find the USB and the BIOS flashing process will start. Do not interrupt the process. Check the BIOS version afterwards to confirm the updated version.

So finally i disassembled my notebook , located CMOS battery , disconnected it & pressed the power button for 60 Secs with all power sources disconnected. After assembling my laptop i got my display back with an option to press any key to restore BIOS with a error message "CMOS checksum error"I did same and my laptop is working fine since now.

I have been trying to Flash/Fix my BIOS for a couple days now. No idea why it 'broke' in the first place. I went to sleep, it was fine. I woke up, it would not boot. I have created a recovery usb drive which sort of started working the first time I tried it, the BIOS update screen came up and got to about 40%, the screen went blank (I know the directions said it might), I let it ride and after a while the PC had shut down and is still not fixed. Now when I insert the drive, it does not "find" the files aka the BIOS update screen never starts...

Yes hello can you help us with some clear drivers including keyboard and USB controller drivers and preferably a complete and clear set of all needed drivers for the HP Elitebook 2760p
Right now it is not clear and I am having some previously known issue with some keys not working because some keyboard or more specifically some usb controller driver is not installed or properly installed, I had this issue in the past and somehow fixed it but this was back on windows 7 or something where the driver set was more clear, but now we need a set specific to Windows 10 and really Windows 11
The website driver set only shows options for up to Windows 8 and it is not clear, what we can use to get full driver coverage in Windows 10 and maybe even 11
    Maybe you can address this?
Your support would be greatly appreciated by many trying to upgrade their OS on this model. Probably some people unnecessarily replacing their keyboards thinking it's a hardware issue when it's really related to the software, maybe you could help provide clear solution and set of drivers

winflash gets transfered to the thumb drive, but the sp47531 opens as insydeflash. there is no extracting. it tells me not to turn off my computer. there is a start button and an exit button. current bios, new bios, id, and version are all blank. it says it's about to update my bios. a.be sure you are running on external power. b. before continuing, close all applications. c.your system will automatically shut down after update.
i dont want to update this computer. i want to update my computer. my computer wont boot. i needed to download the bios off the hp website using another computer. knowing this. how do i get the sp47531 to extract to my thumb drive? is there anything specific that i'm suppose to have extracted? if so then what and can you help me?

As few others have mentioned here, this doesn't work for all of the BIOS update files, for my laptop, 15t-y200, it does not even extract any files, so I am unable to get to the boot recovery menu. I tried extracting different ways directly at the source, no luck, it is grayed out by HP.
