My builder sheetrocked all the way around my windows. If i add these, should i remove the drywall under where this would sit? or can I apply on top of the sill sheetrock?

So the one you took out was cut to fit with the edges overlapping on the outside drywall. What you are putting in is simply a square cut piece. Am I missing something here, because there's no mention of a track already cut out to accept the new one. I have about half a dozen of these to do and need to know these things. 🤔

Hi sorry I missed this . Mine just seemed to fit that way you don't have to put it into the drywall like that with the notches . Hope you were able to get these installed .
