I don't think she saw it at all nor do I think she cares. I feel like this won't end up becomming a controversy because the online community already went through something similar with valkyrae, but being a streamer and being a tiktoker is different. Also addison rae is becoming more of a mainstream celebrity lately, so all she has to do is ignore the outside noise (something valkyrae didn't do).

They must have payed her like A LOT, because she makes a few million a years from sponsoring deals easily, so to take such an obvious scam deal it must have been really worth it. Also, hard to blame TikTok here, no matter their policy, because she already makes a shit ton of money and would never make even a fraction of that on TikTok views alone, even if it worked exactly like CZcams does it for normal videos.
although you’re 100% right on she probably got paid aton and even if she was paid accordingly on tiktok it wouldn’t equate to much, tiktok’s system is fucked cause essentially if the top creators keep getting more views then they alone will run a monopoly where the minimum viewership would have to be so high to even make a dollar that for creators starting off they simply wouldn’t be able to compete where as to youtube as long as you pass the standard to make money off a video then you get paid a set fraction amount from the views it makes

When businesses do shitty things then we should call them out to make sure they know they're not getting away with it. When a business like tiktok has grown it now has a lot of power to control things within and without the scope of its own business. Dont perpetuate bad business ethics by writing it off with cliché bull like "tiktok is just making a smart business move" they're not. Making sure their creators are happy, healthy, and earning a proper living is the smartest business move for the longevity of a business model like tiktoks. Period. End of conversation.

Valkyrae was not the first one to come up with it but I do think item beauty's team saw how much people talked about and decided to drop one of their own soon after and actually make that money

One thing I’ve seen mentioned about Tik Tok/Vine/Musically is that creators have very little market pull relative to CZcams/twitch creators.
People go on CZcams to watch their subscribers new videos and content. Along with other very similar style videos for that CZcams session. If the creator leaves the site, a lot of people will follow suit. (Assuming they are big enough, Ludwig is a good example) this is a core reason why CZcams is successful and why they pay creators a lot if they are big enough.
People go on tik tok however to see a random feed of videos that have little connection to each other. A variety of content that is so large, that if a major tik tok star stops posting, someone can and will replace them immediately. Its the same thing with Instagram reels and CZcams shorts and now now Netflix shorts. The nature of the media really makes the creators rely on the platform rather than the platform relying on them.
Not saying that it’s fair at all and what baffles me the most is the fact the fund is a fixed amount. That is literally the same as being paid less for being good at your job. Really hope something changes, but idk how it happens.
For the record, blue-light glasses are just as much a scam as this makeup stuff. I'm not sure why they've gotten away with it while the exact same thing for makeup get's immediately crushed.
The claims of impacts on health are pseudoscience. It is correct however that the light can disrupt sleep schedules. Not sure if the special glasses have been proven effective as a fix for this though.

I can see a possible argument for the effectiveness of the glasses, given that built in night mode features specifically for phones and monitors do have been proven to improve it, but I’ve not entirely looked into them.

where as Valky has a fan base more in their 20's, Addisons' is made up of 14 year olds. Valkyreas' fan base are smart enough to do their own research. Addisons' fan base, including my 14 yr old niece, doesn't know the difference between countrys and continents.
