I always feel sorry for Wade in House of Wax. When Carly and Nick accidentally burn the house down Wade burns to death. Thats just heartbreaking, as he was such a nice guy.
I just saw The Loved Ones for the first time a couple of days ago. One of the hardest watches I’ve endured. Those whack jobs killed his Dad and his dog then do all that to him. But Brent does get the best revenge I’ve seen in years hands down!
The Endless was a great movie and the sequel to Resolution. However, the couple and their daughter from Speak No Evil deserves the #1 spot, no question. Just an awesome, Brutal and Devastating movie.
Not a detail of major importance, but contrary to what's being claimed here, I'm told that the original "House of wax" is in fact vastly different to the remake.
The Endless is awesome. And I just now found out that the Endless is actually one of many "Eldritch Terrors" as shown on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina."
I felt awful for Brent in "The Loved Ones," but the boys in the pit in Lola's house are what really stuck with me. Trapped in the total darkness in one tiny room with zero chance to escape, forced to become cannibals to survive, unable to scream for help, taunted by Lola to "sing for their supper" (aka the newest victim) . . . it seemed to me that they all went insane, totally stripped of their humanity. Haunting.
Possum... I mean, not that Philip's life wouldn't still be tragic but he freed the missing kid at the end. Wouldn't the kid be able to redeem him from the accusations that it was his fault the kid went missing?
I think the most disturbing aspect of the movie is that Philip could be viewed as both a victim and a perpetrator (unfortunately). He's clearly a survivor of childhood sexual abuse but in all his present day trauma (and having been made the fall guy for Maurice's unforgivable crimes toward other minors like himself), has he adopted the same behaviours as his uncle? Is Maurice still alive when Philip returns to the house, or now a figment of his imagination that he's trying to resolve past conflict with? I think the film certainly alludes to Philip being the one who kidnapped the boy on his train journey. Philip even sees a reflection of himself with the puppet's head and Maurice makes reference to things 'running in the family'... It implies a cycle of abuse that Philip's trying to break free from and only ends up doing so after confronting [the image of] his uncle (his own puppeteer) and the puppet that represents both their wrongdoings. It's just one take on the story but if the case, it's unlikely Philip will ever be absolved of his or Maurice's actions. But perhaps, no one will be controlling him any longer.
I don't know about anyone else on here but I thought the 2005 House Of Wax was a pretty good movie. I don't consider the 2005 movie really a remake to the 1953 movie with Vincent Price. If anything the 2005 House Of Wax movie has more in common with a little known 1979 movie called Tourist Trap then the original House of Wax. If you've never seen Tourist Trap I highly recommend it. It's free on CZcams.
Oof. Okay so the group of "witches" as you called them (Silent Hill), are the exact opposite. Theyre a hyper-religious bunch of religious zealots that get *rid* of people they think are witches or are evil.
A good list! Here are a couple of honorable mentions: Mrs.Deluca and Gina(Wish Upon)-both were victims of Clare's uncontrollable wishing, even though one was her neighbor and Gina was Ryan's cousin. Gage Creed(Pet Sematary)-a victim of Jud's impudence and his father's meddling with what he didn't understand.
Is it really a hit and run if the person doesn't actually leave the accident? -_- Like he didn't leave. And he wasn't drunk. :l The little boy rode his tricycle into the road without Timothy being able to break in time. It was a tragic accident.
God, I loved Seven. It was sooo gross at times, but damn oh damn the scene showed here 🤮 I sincerely hope that Art the Clown never tries to recreate anything from this film in his style 😱
Surely it's Tracy Mills that's the more unfortunate victim in Seven? Sloth's torture is nasty, but she's a completely innocent person and gets beheaded
Hellraiser 2, the poor man from the mental institution that believes bugs are constantly crawling all over him. He gets taken elsewhere, has his straight-jacket removed, and is given a straight-razor to cut himself to pieces... ...Not to mention that he was used as a sacrifice and has the life literally sucked out of him.
Have you even seen the House Of Wax remake if you say it does nothing to distinguish itself from the original? Its a TOTALLY different movie. Researcher fail.

Honestly for Saw 3, yes, I think they chose right here, but I'd also say the Frozen Woman should be a damn runner-up here. All she is is a witness to the hit-and-run that didn't want to stick around and Jigsaw is making it so Jeff has to choose whether or not sher should be a human popsicle. Let's be honest, how often has you witnessed something f*cked up happen only to leave rather than stick around for the cops? I can personally say a bare minimum 3 times under violent illegal crap, alone. If we included all car accidents or close calls that other people had, I'd have to say minimum - 15 times. So, relatable situation for that Jigsaw victim to have done.
How is it a hit and run if the person who hit the kid by accident stayed at the accident? Hit and run means he would have left the scene. He didn't leave the scene. They showed him staying there. That's not a hit and run.
@@JaneDoe1812 That's how remember it being said in the movie, at first, but than they seemed to counter themselves. My head-canon to solve it is he had a freakout but simply left since the cops took a while to actually get to the accident scene. It's plausible and would explain both sides well.
I'd argue his wife at the end of the film is the most unfortunate. SAMF Jeff actually did something with haste for once and it got his wife killed. At least he didn't have the guilt long haha
I thought that the end of Thinner has it so that Linda lives because a man comes to the door and the father offers him some leftover pie? Thus passing the curse to the man instead? I haven’t seen it in a long time so maybe I’m misremembering
David, the mist, we always talk about it and I introduced it to a friend today David tries to do everything to keep everyone together but it fails, Mrs carmody turns the store onto a religious cult, even when they try to save a inured man it means nothing since multiple people die during the attempt to get supplies and the injured one does anyway, and finally the ending He finds his wife dead and strung up by monsters, and ends up "mercy killing" his friends and young son only to find they were moments away from rescue Yay
Hopefully I will not catch to much flak however Sweeney Todd's wife in Sweeney Todd. Broken and homeless because she was told her husband died: only to find said husband alive right before he slashes her throat.
Meg loughlin in 2007 horror mystery the girl next door should be on this list as she is tortured by her legal guardian including being burned, sexual assault, and even starved before dying of her injuries begging to be killed to end the pain
Laurie Holden was very hot as the female police officer. It took me seeing Silent Hill a second time to realize that she also played Andrea on The Walking Dead. I thought she was great in both roles.
Terrifier 2... The girl that he mutilated.. I know that scene is FAR too gruesome but oh my god if you could put it on this list it should be because it was so friggin brutal dude
In Thinner, Linda's fate is left unclear as eating the pie transfers the curse and the man Heidi had been cheating with, Mike, shows up and is offered some of the pie. So the curse might have transferred to him, sparing Linda.
Once again, I feel a need to reiterate... It's NOT that serious, y'all. If you're THAT upset about repeat appearances of movies or minor plot description mistakes, just go find another channel. I'm sure WatchMojo will be happy to have you. Otherwise, take a nap, grab a snack, and stop killing the vibe.
Regarding "Thinner", there was never proof his wife was cheating on him. I think it was all in his head and he was just paranoid and she & his doctor were just trying to help him.
I'm most certainly not among those gamers that supposedly praised the Silent Hill movie. In fact, I disliked the movie exactly because I *am* a fan of the game. I mean, it was an ok horror movie by itself, but a terrible, terrible Silent Hill adaption. They took a deep, complex psychological horror plot and turned it into a generic "good twin, bad twin" story. Such wasted potential...
That’s what I heard from my friends and kids that played the game and have watched the movie. Heck I thought the movie was crap and I didn’t play the game.
Im a huge fan of the games too! I picked that movie apart from minute 1 in the theater. I was so mad how Harry was portrayed, that was not his story! I was also pretty upset with pyramidhead being in it, he wasn't in the first game. I'm hoping the adaptation of SH2 will be good. If not I will riot!
I was surprised that girl who got tortured and mutilated in her bedroom in Terrifier 2 wasn’t on the list.
Far too gruesome for this channel....i guess they wanna keep it #PG13 for the sweet ad money😏
Man just about anyone who has ran into Art was unfortunate. 😂
Maybe because it wasn't any good.
As disturbing as That Scene in Bone Tomahawk is, the state the women are kept in is horrific.
In my opinion the state of kept "women" in Martyrs is a far worse treatment....🤔
Is it, though?
Neither group were allowed to perish, and they suffered pretty much constantly. I'm not sure I could decide who got it worse.
Laurie Holden fucking ATE her role in Silent Hill ❤ My girl is amazing
No lie
I always feel sorry for Wade in House of Wax. When Carly and Nick accidentally burn the house down Wade burns to death. Thats just heartbreaking, as he was such a nice guy.

Liv Tyler from the strangers. “Because you were home”

@sweetcinnamonpnchkin still a bone chilling line.
Yeah, that line hits a nerve.

Not even close to the same movie other than it’s in a house of wax
Yeah...#FarBetter!!!
The "remake" is closer to a movie called Tourist Trap, but appropriating the name of the 50s movie.
@@BPCRevere Tourist Trap is an underrated movie
Bone Tomahawk and The Loved Ones are great movies! Personally I would have had the dad from The Mist and the final girl in Eden Lake on here.
They weren't witches in Silent Hill, they were a religious cult.
Pretty sure my brain popped when she called them witches.. 😡
3:09 "After being captured by a horde of witches..."

I guess not, since anyone who watched it knew the cult burned witches.

Definitely a horror movie 👍
