The character is voted pure evil on every websites. Also John Doe's horrifying crimes in Se7en really scare the sh*t out of me 'cuz I only watch it for a rightfully acclaimed plot twist but Se7en was even scarier than The Exorcist & Hereditary for me. John Doe 100% can exists irl and his victims died in extremely slow and painful ways
That's what I like about Stephen king novels.. yes, some are supernatural horror, but most are actually about the horror of what humans do to each other, especially when faced with certain situations. It's like human nature can be worse than anything else.
Norman Daniels from "Rose Madder" comes to mind. He's one of the most terrifying villains in SK's universe, especially because of how thoroughly realistic his character is.
@360entertainment2 No that's good, I was hoping for a few opinions, no one else I know has really read King soooo :-) for myself George Stark always scared me on a base level, no bargaining with that one
It's hard for me to fully appreciate Rose the Hat as a villain; not because she isn't incredibly evil, but because Rebecca Ferguson has never looked better in her entire film career than she did in this role.
I think there’s an overflow of redeemable villains in most media now a days and I appreciate a film, show, or even song that showcases someone you’re glad to see her offed. Thank you for this list!
The Speak No Evil couple seems more evil than the hyperbolized Madame people in Martyrs. Or if we're picking dumb bad movies, then how about Art from terrifier?
@@CaZaDoR728 depends on film ,in rob zumbie remakes he is truly human and really love her mom and sister. In this list all the caracthers in all variations still remain the same . Dont get me wrong ,i love Michael Myers ,but is refreshing see other villains had their spotlight. Sorry for my bad english
All the films on this that I've seen I can highly recommend - Doctor Sleep, Invisible Man, Hellraiser (the earlier ones), Carrie. The rest I'm going to have to look up.
Excellent list! But the top monster is still missing: the Pinochetian military man in 'Trauma' makes everyone else, including Vidal (granted, Francoists were just as brutal, but Vidal is somewhat elegant and set on a reprehensible but understandable task (rooting out the Republican guerillas after the Republic was defeated). The other one metes out a horrible revenge out of bestial fanaticism. And that 'horrible' easily outdoes all the rest.
How come Chrome skull from the laid to rest series did it make it on this list Chrome skull couldn't even pronounce the word merci if he tried let alone demonstrate the quality of Mercy
The killer in angst isn't entirely remorseful. He seems like he's having a sort of change o f heart at one point when he tries to revive the grandmother and give her her medicine. It didn't happen, but it was still there that he tried.
What about the leader of those disgusting kids in Eden Lake? He had no remorse for the animal cruelty, torture & multiple murder he & his gang committed.
Jack..from The House that Jack built, should have been #1..in my book. -Captain in Pans Labrinth was extreamly merciless..the bottle face assult left me speechless.
I have come across this channel a few times, and you kinda get the impression that not much thought goes into it, never more so with this list. While all the entries are fine, it's pretty evident no thought was given on order, i mean martyrs woman at number one? She's the most "evil"? Someone who themselves never partook in the torture, but thought the ends justifies the means essentially, in something ultimately worthy to answer humanitys age old question. It is completely reprehensible of course, but at the very least she believes it to be necessary as horrific as it is, i think "evil" is most exemplified in selfish wants, to appease carnal desires, wanton mindless cruelty. Off the top of my head jack is in my mind considerably worse.
Carrie's mom is so horrifying because she has so much power over Carrie's life. And she uses the power to torture her only child. EVIL.
She's also a very real threat
Vile Eye did a video on her and it was very illuminating, the woman was super crazy even before she had Carrie!
I like how you described Captain Vidal as ONE of the terrifying evils of Pan's Labyrinth because we all know the Pale Man is the worst thing ever..
He's ugly sure but all you gotta do is not steal food
I rather face the Pale Man over Captain Vidal any day
Interestingly, the pale man is MEANT to metaphorically represent Vidal in the folklore world.
Not really a horror movie, but always get the shivers from Javier Bardam’s turn as the psychopathic killer in “No Country for Old Men.”
Bardam did such a good job with that character!

Shit, you could have an entire list of Stephen King characters that are pure evil.
Just out of curiosity which would be your #1? I can't pick a favorite novel, short story or series so no pressure :-)

@@fantasticmrfox9291 I know I’m not who you asked but for me it would be a tie between Pennywise and Randall Flagg!

She's beautiful x
Agreed!!
She’s an Irish goddess
More like "Rose the Hot" 😊
I support women’s wrongs. Specifically Rose’s.
Peter and Paul in Funny Games. I expected it to be number one, but then I remembered this is WhatCulture.
Or the whole parent group grom Eden Lake.
Wolf Creek...man that scared the ish out of me and I was even do that outdoor stuff.
I think there’s an overflow of redeemable villains in most media now a days and I appreciate a film, show, or even song that showcases someone you’re glad to see her offed. Thank you for this list!
No Annie Wilkes from Misery?
Not a horror film but don't forget Jennay.
Is Forrest Gump a horror film?
@@nickl6715 listen she is inarguably scarier than most villains and definitely entirely remorseless 😂
She was a remorseless villain
Evil villain? Weird take
Can't forget what can't be on here
I think you forgot Patrick and Karin from speak no evil.
OUF! Those are good ones.
Where are the vampires from 30 Days of Night or Cristabella from Silent Hill?
Omfg Christabella from Silent Hill tho. Even at the end she doesn't regret one bit, she takes the punishment from Alessa.
This is a great list. Glad someone finally talked about Angst. Its my personal favorite horror movie 😍
Martyrs at number one. What a surprise.
Wow
The Speak No Evil couple seems more evil than the hyperbolized Madame people in Martyrs. Or if we're picking dumb bad movies, then how about Art from terrifier?
"This ain't about them" LMFAO
What about Art The Clown? or Michael Myers?
They don’t need to be put in any more lists.
I think they were going for only human evil, or evils that can be easily killed
Michael Myers cried in Halloween 5
@@Wesvalerio yeah, but he's still not necessarily human throughout the series

Rebecca Ferguson is one of the most beautiful women in the world, and she plays Rose The Hat so well 👍👍
There's something about Australian horror flicks that seem to have an extra scare factor to them.
YES!! Try the film Triangle - Melissa George in a film that is just endlessly creepy and unsettling.
@@Klm49 I'll watch Mellissa George in anything, so will definitely give that a watch. Cheers.
Jack ferriman ghost ship 😢😢😢?
The one I liked for no remorse is The Terminator, it is a machine just running what it was designed to do. It can’t have any remorse like a toaster.
What about The Hitcher?
Rutger Hauer--YES!
Rose the Hat was a really good villian
Ivan milat is waaaaay more terrifying than Mick.
Ivan Milat is the inspiration behind Mick Taylor
@@ASirensFlame yeah...usually movies make things scarier.
The Hitcher's John Ryder, The Good Son's Henry Evans, The Firefly Family, also Chucky and Freddy
Good list but no Firefly family?
Oh yes! They should be on list.
A top list these are the scariest villains 🖤
All the films on this that I've seen I can highly recommend - Doctor Sleep, Invisible Man, Hellraiser (the earlier ones), Carrie. The rest I'm going to have to look up.
Surprised no mention of Col. Hans Landa (masterfully brought to life by Christoph Waltz) in "Inglorious Basterds".
Is that a horror movie though?
The Mick Taylor/Ivan Milat connection is so 😱😱
How did you guys miss Brett from EDEN LAKE? Total sadist
Mick Taylor is like a bizzaro evil version of Burt Gummer from Tremors.
I'd argue Jack should be at number one
Watch Martyrs and you’ll reconsider
Where's Otis Flywheel?
No Art the clown?
The Loving Ones is a GREAT MOVIE when you want to put as many scares to your phycie possible!! Great bloody sadistic time! 😊
Julie Cotton was originally intended to be the primary villain for the Hellraiser franchise. And is my favorite character of the franchise.

Chrome skull couldn't even pronounce the word merci if he tried let alone demonstrate the quality of Mercy
Eh. The fact he has a loving family kinda makes it hard to call him pure evil.
If Carrie didn't kill Margaret, she would've been arrested for child abuse
The guy from Man Bites Dog (forget his name)
Art The Clown shits on everyone on this list
Jack..from The House that Jack built, should have been #1..in my book.
-Captain in Pans Labrinth was extreamly merciless..the bottle face assult left me speechless.
Where’s Esther from Orphan?
I got one ya missed. The Hitcher. Both versions of it.
Rose definitely should have been higher on this list
ok but what abbout art the clown 0_0
Is that the clown in Terrifier?
Annie Wilkes would like to have a word with you.
The house that Jack built is my shit
Interesting statement.
Mademoiselle was the true martyr in the end.
The High Evolutionary from Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3
The Invisible Man and Hollow Man are almost the same movie!
Unless you've watched them. On paper, totally, but it's a very different experience and vibe they're each going for.
no homelander ?

John Doe, Se7en?

Sturmbannfuhrer Walter Stein in Come and See.
