What, no Ready Or Not? Samara Weaving's character absolutely deserves a place on this list. Not only does she hold her own against a murderous family who has demonic backing, but she OWNS every single one of them. Well, except maybe one or two lol

Not really. The family caught her in the end but she managed to survive until sunrise, and the rest of the family only died because the old lady got a little kill happy and went against the rules, making the demon decide that all were forfeit (except for Samara, of course)

The events of "Prey" are probably why the Predators keep coming back. They aren't deterred by danger. Quite the opposite. They WANT to fight something that can kill them. Humans are extra fun ones because most of us are useless against them, but the ones that can hold their own are a true prize. Their skulls become a symbol of pride for the successful hunter.

I always love this particular genre, when the "victim" (usually women) managed to outsmart and defeat the bad guy(s), or at least got their revenge later on. I wrote this comment before watching the list, but my personal favorites on the top of my head are: You're Next, The Hunt, I Spit On Your Grave, Till Death, Revenge, Ready or Not, Hush. But of course there's also men "victim", like Don't Breathe...

It was ridiculous how much the "hunting club" knew how to locate the victims that escaped and collect their heads. We laughed so hard, this movie is a gem, it's played out and written in a way that isn't annoying or frustrating (like some movies/shows do just to extended the watch time) it's just a good time watching everything go from bad to worse in the best way. Ready or Not and Hush are two stand outs that I was shocked to see weren't on this list. The le Domas family may not have chosen Grace specifically, since it was the demon that chose her for sacrifice, but they all went about it way too nonchalantly and got slaughtered for it. And then the man in Hush thinks Maddie being deaf will make her easy prey but she's anything but.

I think bc when compared to the others on this list, Grace didn't kick her "attackers" asses. She mainly evaded and survived till the end. Heck, she was even caught, put in the sacraficial table and stabbed, she avoided death by the skin of the teeth when she used her shoulder to take the blade instead of her neck.
(Bc I rmb being excited to see her use that shotgun of hers, as shown in the poster, such an iconic part of her image, only to learn the shotgun doesn't even work in the movie 😭)

Julia and the 2010 remake of I Spit On Your Grave are both much better iterations than the original and don't deteriorate into weird tonal shifts. American Mary as well is an incredible third option

Hostel 2 is IMNSHO, the better of the series. What she does does in that movie makes her a 100% BADASS.
The original I Spit On Your Grave( seen all but one of them) is one of the few movies I've ever seen that made me feel unclean after.
No One Lives is another of my faves. Great story with a great ending.

If I may, some of these victims or villains, I say can be understood for their actions. Everyone was either out to bully/kill them for what they had or just for the fun of it.

    4) Sweeny Todd The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
    5) The Velocipastor (I guess)
    6) Alien Resurrection

You missed quite a few that could be added in a Part 2 list, and it could include:
Logan Marshall Green's characters in either UPGRADE or THE INVITATION
Steven Hubbell"s hapless office drone in the cult favorite MERCY CHRISTMAS
Possibly my all-time favorite, William Finley as Winslow Leach in Brian De Palma's PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE
Amy Irving reunited with De Palma in THE FURY
Stephen Lack in David Cronenberg's SCANNERS
The lead woman in the possession thriller AVENGED
The home invasion "victim" in the jaw-dropping INTRUDERS
A classic: Audrey Hepburn in WAIT UNTIL DARK
Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. Full stop.
    Heather Langenkamp as Nancy Thompson.
