My Rarest Seiko - Seiko Nano Universe SCVE045

- This is a very long term review of one of the rarest Seikos that I own, the Seiko Nano Universe SCVE045. This watch was limited to a numbered run of 300. There are other variants out there, but this is the most limited of them all. I believe these were released in 2017 and was a JDM model. but tjeu are becoming more rare by the day. Out of the 300 released, since 2017 or 2018 I have owned three different once (of the 045) so I have a lot of experience with this watch. I have one in black, no 381 of 500 that my parents bought in japan as a gift during my freshman year in college. Couldn't cared less about watches then and its not until recently where i've started appreciating timepieces that i've only realized its limited edition so it's great for you to share a little of the history.

Hmm that means Im lucky? I bought 2 nano watches , this model in black nr19/500 - 10/10 with identical dial like this in video and reverse panda chronograph szsj012 in 9/10 condition just for 300 euros , I bough them like blind without any knowledge how rare those watches are. Now I think both are super speciall and I will keep them in collection.

He did! And they released a men’s and women’s too a few years back. I forget the reference number, but if they made that automatic it would have flown off the shelves!

Very cool- I'm sticking to the SCVE039, as you said, much easier to obtain.
I like the (somewhat fantastical) idea of re-plating mine with matte DLC, if the time comes when it gets seriously worn.
Less of a pipe dream is to swap a sapphire crystal in. Being flat, it's a relatively simple measurement. I'll send you the specs, if/when the time comes to replace the crystal.

Yes please! If you find out the crystal size please let me know. I really would like to have a PVD version back in my collection too. G/l with the replating as well. Email me a picture once you do that!

I have a similar one with some variations on the dial at triangle @ 12, bar at 3 and 9, 6 is the same

Like I say in my videos. A lot of these watches I “hunt” for a sometimes a long time. But hopefully it opens up your mind to some models that you have never seen before 👍
