Mike, I keep looking back at this video. So far, it's one of my favorites with MBTtS giving you crap. The banter between you two is just priceless. Aaron is just so damn warm and fuzzy, you want to tuck him away in your pocket!!! That cat is an invaluable part of your team. Thanks again for the laughs and time well spent!

Reminds me of the time a buddy at work told me "I'm keeping your new motorcycle in my garage, in case anyone asks." 🤐 At least he didn't make a video admitting he bought another motorcycle, and it was six months before his wife asked my wife if I was ever going to come get my motorcycle.

Dirt Perfect and MBTS remind me of Abbot and Costello, every discussion is a variation of "who's on first". You and Matt over on Diesel Creek seem to have machine luck as everything you both trip over works with a little tinkering. Just put a big rock in the tractor bucket to balance it out and go mulching.

I found out the hard way, the welding sparks and molten bb's just bounce off office chair fabric and roll, plus your legs form a funnel that directs those hot sparks and molten bb's directly into a very sensitive spot. I still used the chair but I would sit as far forward as possible so the sensitive area was not vulnerable.

Man! I learned my lesson about impulse buying behind my wife’s back.
Before cell phones... I was really bad about grabbing a snack at checkout, seeing a good deal at a yard sale or buying an extra one ‘just in case’. It was easy... just write a check!
The truth was... As a result of my proclivity to waste money... we had a couple of checks bounce... the embarrassment of having to pick them up, in person, at stores in our small town was a sobering experience.
We reasoned, you can’t pay for it if you don’t have the money. And, if you can’t pay for it... you won’t buy it!
    So, two things happened...
    1. I started direct deposit of my paychecks. That robbed me of the extra walking cash at the drive up window on paydays. Instead, I was given a weekly allowance.
    2. I quit carrying a checkbook. There was no such thing as a Debit Card. We couldn’t qualify for a credit card. Instead I was handed a single check when I was going to make a specific purchase.
Did it work? Like a charm... to this day I get an allowance. Even though I am allowed a debit card... I have to get a receipt and lay it in a designated place for every purchase....
As a result, we’ve made it 47years as a married couple... and the one with the Business Degree, ain’t the one managing the bank account or handing out the allowance!!!
Mikey... there’s no real lesson here... just a recounting of how I learned to reconcile... Happy wife = happy life!

We had a big rotavator that was too big for the tractor, and the front wheels would come off the ground when they hit a bump. No problem for tilling the soil, but down right dangerous when trying to steer it on the public highway. My dad used to dab the independent rear breaks to steer, and even that was marginal because the brakes were crap. I'm thinking we might be seeing something similar with this machine and tractor combo.

Rubber tires and brush do not mix well but it was a price driven decision on the Fecon, finding a used head for the Kubota would have increased the cost. A FTX128L used $155,000 if you could keep it busy on utility and pipelines would be great.

What about the cutting teeth? What shape are they in? They're probably the most expensive parts on that thing and pretty important that they are in good shape for the mulcher to actually mulch. Being worn out would probably impact the amount of horsepower it takes to keep the drum turning making it need more power handicapping you even more with the lower hp tractor. Just an observation and something that I was wondering about. Good luck with this and I look forward to seeing the mulching video. Might be another purchase in the future if the tractor you have isn't big enough for the mulcher. You're gonna have to send Mrs. Dirt Perfect on a nice vacation somewhere where she'll get pampered so she'll come back all relaxed and calm for when the new larger tractor shows up. LOL! Good luck with that too. 👍
