    Hey Mike,.....I do not know everything about excavators, but around the 17:00 mark, it looks like a retaining bolt that holds in the bucket pin, is missing a nut. As you are looking at the video at that mark, the grease gun plunger handle and the top of your can of penetrating oil, are close to the bolt I am talking about. Maybe it is supposed to be this way, but I thought that I would mention it.

    I have a friend who owns a landscaping/snow removal/reno company.
    He has local towing companies shuttle machines between sites on their flatbeds, one cable hook, not chained down because the flat bed has a lip edge which holds things in place. One tow company has a tri axel wide load bed that can hold 10'6" wide on its bed with a 20,000 kg max load (44,000 lbs).
    The local lite 8' wide flat beds charge him $35 per trip up to 15 km (about 9.5 mi). Check it out that may work for you if things a snug!

    @12:30
    Walking beam suspensions are a tried and true suspension for trucks. The bushings do wear out and all 6 need to be replaced when that happens but as you said DP, the C8500 is nowhere near wore out.
    Dump trucks are the worst for wearing out the bushings because of the amount of twisting and turning they get backing up at job sites.
    Did a bunch of walking beam bushing in my Highschool CO-OP placement in ‘85 and about 90% were dump trucks.
    First truck I ever drove was working there. I was lucky and got $5/hr working there. 🤑

    as a mechanic with several decades of experience the first thing to do in this situation is to replace the grease fitting, they are cheap and will quickly either fix the issue or eliminate the fitting as the problem. Something to ponder!!

    A man has to wash the mud off as tossing them in the creek to clean themselves is a recipe for wheel seals and a host of issues too numerous to mention. Kinda sad there isn't more gravel handy in the countryside as it sure is easier to grab a bit of traction on the sides of those narrow roads. They technically aren't so much narrow as just soft when you get very far off the blacktop. I had one of the oldest working and run well slide bar cable blade d8's and it was a lot of steel. My lowboy was a near close to same age and we had to load from the side. My brother who was so bright that dad called him son wanted so bad to load equipment and so without asking jumped on that old dozer and proceeded to load that machine on the lowboy like I had several times. That old dozer had a steer clutch an steer brake pedal as well and he really didn't have a clue as to all that was involved there. So on to the trailer and is ready to spin around to square when it went off on wouldn't you believe the low side of that loading spot he picked... it dropped down a couple feet sat there for about twenty seconds and then made its mind up to continue to keep a rolling. I did have a really good ropes cabin on it... I think that it did is now the definitive word. I still ain't figured out after fifty some years how he kept from dying in the cabin as the space was right limited. I got help and cut him out and the ropes was done. Yeah I think about it all looks so easy till your in the hot seat and doing the loading. Dad had taken me to the woods early and told me he wouldn't tell me twice so to pay attention and after that he would walk away to leave you to it. Yep, I did slide off but picked the side so it was in my favors but those do stay with ya. I'm seventy three now, my brother killed himself falling timber many years ago an I kinda feel responsible for his not getting more education on dangers. He was a great big boy and a heart of gold but he was cut more in book learning than woodsmanship and I just didn't want him out there. Captain has certainly done real well for you an we all can fail even on the good days if you don't keep a eye on both sides of your pie eater/lol. Great job Mike
