When he got older he decided not to get baptized but he always stayed connected to and had a warm feeling for the religion. Until he finally saw the true face of the organization behind the JW's...
Thank you for the great interview and for helping exposing this mind control cult. I also grew up in this cult and always question everything. I left when I became a teen and came back thinking I was going to bring my family into it once married. I realized that there where too many strange behavior but Igor it since I just visited to listed and never took it too serious. At some point I realized I had to make a decision and decide to really focus. The more I focus the more questions I had and never properly answer. They always use the same..Leave it In Jehovah hand, not in this system, I look forward to Armageddon. They create groups amount groups and where very strange also. If you are a Pioneer you are a rockstar if not you're not trying hard enough. My family and I saw it as well and decided to go, Specially after the A&E special... Some elder came and visit and question and I told them... you guys have a lot of blood in your hands. They have never been back, Freaking weird as hell. We are so happy we have nothing to do with them any more. People have to be careful with groups like it.

@Alec Alberti Globalization no longer allows you to wage war as you want. State wars with its millions of dead are part of another time. Today economic strength is supplanting military strength.
There will always be small military conflicts here and there on the planet with a few thousand deaths, but this tends to diminish decades after decades. We have to face the facts, the great conflicts of the past are well behind us. Today the economy rules everyone. More and more countries are interdependent on each other and have no interest in going to war with each other as before. We have moved into another era where comfort has become king.

We are still afraid to share our experiences with one another.
I appreciate hearing a personal view of God after this deception,

Unfortunately Intelligent Design is considered to be a pseudoscience by real scientists and a lot of biblical teaching are completely refuted by science facts. Notice I didn’t say anything about atheism. Science has nothing to do with atheism!

Hi Philippe, in The Netherlands it’s common to speak a fair amount of English. We watch a lot of subtitled series/movies and learn English in school.

And if you ever want to exercise your free mind a bit more and if you still have considerations that the bible is God’s word, i suggest doing a deeper dive on how the bible, as we know it, actually came to be. It did not “just” come into existence as many people have been duped into believing. There was an painful and organic human method that contributed to the process.

Control is one of the major functions of management. Even government sets up control mechanisms for effective running of the system.
If an organisation is unable to control its human resources properly, it will jeopardise the performance and achievement of the company. The same goes for jenovah witness organization. Gladly, the Bible provides control measures that Christians should apply.
Secondly, I see jw org as a research institute where knowledge builds up. The Bible says that we all know in part, not completely. Just as science is making new discoveries, the JWs are discovering new information to add up, from the vast information In the Bible. My point, Control is not out of place and Nobody knows it all
Should we apply those principles Patricia? There are a lot of things in the bible that, if applied, will put you in jail... Also, the control measures are enforced in such a way that people are manipulated into certain behavior. Is that what you think the bible conveys?
On the second part: If the JW is a knowledge institute, as you call it, they really are not handeling that institution very well. If you read Apocalypse Delayed it will show you a lot of decision making that doesn't really match the mission of a knowledge institute.
And I agree, nobody knows it all. We are all just guessing.
So, nobody should control anybody. 🙏🏼

But remember that the Bible is the authority or Constitution, so to speak, for Christians and we are expected to abide by it. It’s harmful because evolution, especially common descent ancestry and natural selection are used in medical research. Understanding Evolution is directly responsible for most medical breakthroughs of the last 120 years including advanced surgical techniques like transplants , treatments for cancers and endocrine disorders like diabetes, pain medications, antibiotics, vaccines , etc etc etc

From the Bible, we get that Adam was created in the image of God; but, his descendants are not gods. Maybe the current religious state is like when in ancient times God’s chosen nation of Israel had flaws but it was still Gods nation.
