- Casey Putsch and his wife had a baby so Casey gives into the pressure and buys a 4 door family car. Yes, it is every bit as insane as you'd expect!

Hope you guys enjoyed my very very real video!
Congrats on the new addition to the family. Welcome to the life with little to no sleep. I always hit my wall about 2 weeks in. I love the fact that you are a true car guy who can appreciate a fine car no matter how old (or new) it is. Really a beautiful car and child. CONGRATS TO YOU AND THE WIFE!
Wait, are you referring to the baby? Or the nights spent maintaining and polishing the phaeton? LOL
Casey, that Buick trumps absolutely every other car I have seen you with, it is sublime - having real car envy for sure
Heehee, kinda thought Casey was too pessimistic about how well we'd like it. :) Came back to see. Personally, my tastes run to smaller cars from the era, but there's just so much to love about the period. It was a favorite thing about the Fourth of July when I was a kid, all the vintage car people would bring their stuff out for the parade. :)
I know those Mt bikes very well. I started racing in 1989 and worked in shops for 25 years. Your bikes bring back lots of memories.
From little more than The Batmobile and a Viper, to this. STILL living the dream.
Sleeping on the floor, oh the memories!
Pre war are very cool and I think the mid century modern cars can be neat too. My dad has a 63 mercury Montclair that is definitely unique! It’s fun to “play the part” of that era and head out somewhere.
There is something special about the cars from the pre-war era though and the people that grew up with them. My grandfather grew up during that time/depression era. His first car, a model A, he built/assembled himself as a teenager by scavenging parts/pieces slowly from junk yards and other sources. Different generation for sure! He taught me a lot about not being afraid of “doing”. Those cars were tough…he got hit by a doctor who ran a stop sign while driving his sister to a school dance. His knee snapped the shifter off but otherwise the car was fine (and the doctor paid for any remaining damage). He drove his sister the rest of the way with a pair of vice grips as the shifter! She was bruised but fine!
Thanks for jogging my memory and enjoy your car and fam!
What a beauty! Both the little one and the big red open top one!
That is a beautiful car. Today a car that was built like those old cars were would be prohibitively expensive. Such workmanship, those workers back then took great
pride in their work. Jay Leno once wrote in Popular Mechanics and said a guy asked him if he was afraid of driving one of his many old cars, Jay said no that everybody should drive old cars because he reasoned that people would give him more space and they would notice the car. Jay said that he thought maybe that they didn't want to be responsible for repairs for such an expensive car.
Beautiful car! I have been a Buick mechanic almost forty years. I wish i was around when these where new to be able to work on them.
Impressive new car ! and I totally agree with you @Casey Putsch the coolest people lived in 1920-30 !
That's a badass car Casey! As much as I love the lambos and the lykan... You can't help but love these old machine too!
Beautiful car sir, love the lines of the top. It should provide many wonderful memories of weekend drives, cruise nights, and picnic trips.
Perfect timing for this. I’ve had a bunch of classic cars going past the house today for a rally
That is a cute baby, get sleep whenever you can
Congratulations! My dad had a 40s Buick in his younger years and though it was gone before I was born, he had many stories about it. I hope yours brings many good experiences with your family and stories to tell.
More social media exposure of these cars may increase interest and possibly at least keep the values of these from decreasing. Hoovie's 1949 Cadillac videos have been doing surprisingly well. I've been meaning to say this for some time, but you are the complete extrovert of myself since we have so many things in common with the difference being that you actually put many of these things to action, but I'm sure that is the case for many of your followers. Thank you for reminding us to take action.
Why would you want the costs of your hobby to increase or to remain unaffordable for normal people?
@@GasoliniASMR While I don't necessarily want what you said to happen, I have come to terms with the fact that change is a constant and a true enthusiast understands how to make that constant work to his benefit.
Your daughter is beautiful, brother.
The Buick is the perfect addition to the family.
Can you imagine driving your daughter to her prom in this, perfect.
Congrats on both additions to your family. Praying for you all
That car is a true beauty Congrats Casey!.
Casey, I absolutely love the buick. That style car reminds me of class and elegance. I think it's a lovely car for you to get your family around him.
That Buick is awsome.
You three are going to have awsome adventures togeather 🙂
Dad shoes and khaki pants are now required
Congratulations. Your baby is gorgeous. Best wishes to the three of you.
That’s a class automobile.
Baby is beautiful!
Cool to get the tour of the garage.
My mountain bike one of my favourite things too, a Specialised Stumpjumper hardtail with some modifications. I too had to save up for ages!
Philip Coyne.
Coffee table - ENGAGE! I love Buick - Now you need to find an original Roadmaster and one from the 90's for a more practical family truckster!
As a dad of twins with their grandparents half the world across, you're lucky to have free time and the luxury of sleep :) Congrats on the beautiful baby!
Great family car, hope it is as reliable as it is gorgeous!
7:22 Ah the good ole Trek Y-22. Used to race one back in the 90s and cracked the frame in a crash. Trek was awesome and sent me a new frame under warranty. Still have that bike hanging in my garage as well. Congrats on the little one. She will get her sleep patterns figured out. IT can be a tough time at the beginning creating a new routine. hold tight it will settle.
There’s something about Buicks, too. I really don’t know what it is but they’re cool.
your daughter is ADORABLE!!!
Beautifully Amazing car. Great taste, man.
Honestly Cassey with regular maintenance you could roadtrip the buick as well as drive is semi regularly. In college I knew a guy who daily drove a 1937 chevy sedan, and I mean daily drove it. Rain, snow, or shine he would drive it to class.
Easily
It reminds me of my first metal model car, which was a 35ish Chevrolet.
Definitely love that color combo 👍
Awesome addition (car and baby). Congratulations and don't worry about what other people may think. If you love it (car and baby), just enjoy your success. Looking forward to videos of this amazing car being put through the paces. You are now a care-taker of the past, and the future! Keep moving forward!
For a horrifying instant I thought it was rolling out of the trailer, and crash to the ground, but then realized there IS a ramp that had blended with the road... Whew! ;-)
I presume you'll have a walk around, showing the details (side curtains)?
Is it possible for a car to look even better than the pictures!? This thing looks amazing on the video versus the listing! I think it's going to be an amazing family car to be the backbone of good memories with the kiddo!
Now Mr Regular needs to review that baby! The car not your child haha..
Just about any year of Buick is a fine addition to a new family , when my grandparents were just married way back in the fifties, they had a Buick & they kept that tradition going even after he got called upstairs(edit: grandma buys them now) . Good on you!
I really appreciate the 31 Buick and instantly recognized it. I grew up in a custom chrome plating shop so I got familiar with the classics from a young age.
congratulations to you and your wife you are going to be amazing parents
Congrats on the new baby. With that said, I realized tonight you look like a slightly younger matt frewer. You may remember him as max headroom. Keep making the great vids casey
MA MA MA MAX HE HE HE HE HEADROOM!!!!
Hahahahaha!!!
Love Pre War Cars all look amazing have seen some at AutoVille Car show in Riyadh
Buick looks amazing. Very Like the old stuff too
That back seat makes it a real "family" car.
Absolutely beautiful car Casey, nice choice for a family car congratulations
Great car to add to the beautiful family that you have Casey!!!
Wow! Very interesting car and a cool buy for Casey! Will make for some more very cool memories I'm sure
LOVE that thing !!
Can't wait till you're out in it. "What is that?" It's a Buick. Haha, make your own commercial
That is freaking' cool! Wow! Great choice!
Beautiful - and the car is great as well.
Beautiful!
Good morning Casey, to let you know the handrail on the rear of the front seat is mounted upside down. Unfortunately we sold ours 3 weeks ago
Congratulations once again with the little one
Very sweet ride
What a handsome car! Casey has gone classy.
Hey Casey Congratulations to both your wife and yourself on the birth of your Daughter, I love your new/old 1931 Buick Phaeton it looks amazing, i am looking forward to some new upcoming videos of you tinkering with this... I do have one question, were child seat restraints anchor points a standard feature in the 1931 Buick Phaeton...
First answer me this. Is that an honest question or a safety warrior set up? C'mon man. People were still riding horses in 1931...
Always had a thing for this era and the late 40's to Late 50's stuff, theres decadence in the styling that you just will not ever see again for various reasons, it was times where you could tell cars apart at a distance and which chap had his weetabix when having to hand crank start it (fun fact these were still around into the 60s and made adjusting points a doddle).
Only thing I will say is make sure the Baby seats a moden one, some of those period ones were death traps especially in modern traffic conditions when the number of Dingus's on the road have greatly increased.
Cool freaking car Casey
Cool car Casey. But are you going to use it in the rain and the snow? Good heater?
Not bad for an in town car and it will always be a head turner at shows.
Congratulations on your new baby please teach the baby the differences of inch and mm tools. I hope the best for your family.
That's one beautiful car!
Love it!
That's a really cool car 👍
Congratulations!
Are you and the Buick for hire? I could use a transport in Auburn saturday night Sept. 3.
congratulation whith the baby i think you will be a good dad.
Heh, cool. I seem to remember an uncle had good things to say about a Buick straight eight, though, I was really really young, :)
its a lovely car as well as a lovely family to go with it
We still own the Duesenberg trademarks. They are wicked neat!
“It does move I could drive it on the highway if I wanted too…but.. you know let’s be a little real here…”
Beautiful car, but more beautiful baby! Ha! So happy for you!
Today I learned how to pronounce Phaeton 👍
This just in! MAN DITCHES LAMBO FOR OLD BUICK!
That's super cool. I just wonder how it will do in the wind and the rain and the cold with a baby on board??
So grad your little indy car racer is healthy!
That thing will be hilariously awesome on the school run.
I love the pre war stuff. Show us more!
That looks classy.
Plymouth K car 2.2 turbo?
@Casey Putsch , SHE'S SO PRECIOUS!!!!!! 😄😁🥰 AND...!!!! GREAT Choice On The Phaeton!!!! 😁😎👍
Omg, the car is beautiful 😍
8 in a row ready to go
Congratulations Casey!
I do want to say that what you say at minute 8 is a message more people need to share
Most excellent
Fun part is going to be getting the car seat to stay back there lol
Porsche makes a 4-door version of the 944 called Panamera. Kinda surprised you didn't pick one of those 🤣.
Congrats man!!
Wish you all the best and you deserve all the best
I know your super excited right now and this is new to you but feel free to sleep in a room by yourself from time to time as the mom takes care of the baby
Not being able to sleep truly affect our hormones and energy levels. Occasional good sleep would keep you going strong!
1991 Dodge Spirit RT??
A buick? Are you Tyler Hoover and what did you do with Casey.
Plymouth Road Runner station wagon 440 6 pack?
Isnt the Lamborghini Espada a 4 seater? :)
"Doesn't look like a Buick!"
Nice chronograph! Could you share what you are wearing?
Maurice Lacroix Flyback Indy 500
Just wait until wait until your daughter wants to drive it to school.
Phaeton (prn: fayton) mythical son of Helios, Phaeton nearly burned the Earth in the chariot of the Sun. Love the mythology. Adopted as an open touring carriage. Later cars. I remember the VW Phaeton W12 from the 2000’s - sort of a Veyron precursor.
Variety is the spice of life after all. 😅
Just fabricate a couple of isofix mounts and you are sorted.
That is a beautiful machine. I really like cars from this era because they have a detail that modern cars, even luxury ones, are losing it and that is the long hood. I really like when there is a considerable distance between the A pillar and the front wheel and the cabin sits far back in the chassis because that gives the car elegance and beauty, but also lets everyone know in a discrete and tasteful manner that there is a big, powerful engine under the hood; a power plant that matches your wealth and status.
Unfortunately that a is design element that has been lost. Is rare to find a car with a powerful profile these days in this sea of tall transportation pods with giant interiors but minuscule hoods. Just take a look at the EQS or Model whatever which allegedly are luxury cars; huge blobby passenger compartment and short empty bonnets which makes them look ordinary and cheap. If not for the hype, those wouldn’t be considered aspirational cars because they certainly don’t project any power or success.
Previous generations had their issues and what not, but they were better at showing their status. This is by far the coolest family car I've seen.
That is cool! Your car roster is sweet (not to mention the Triumphs), but it looks like you are out growing your garage! I'm not sure if I would want to park my Lambo and Maserati outside.
A couple Great thinks about that car. First it"s one of Taylors favorite colors. Also, you, Taylor, and Alice can dress up like the Great Gabspy. Like when when to the car show at the mansion.
8 cylinders in a row, some could say it's a StrEIGHT engine
