It's typical for me to get customers visiting the place thinking it's a retail store, but those are on the weekdays. This example is the worst of them.
It didn't help that that idiot was also a total Karen. I had no regrets slamming the phone on her when she started giving me attitude about how it's our fault that we didn't specify that it's not a retail store on our website. Ever thought of calling first before making the trip, Karen? Gee, F me for thinking people would use their common sense, right?

      1. Gather the necessary materials:
      - Uranium oxide (yellowcake)
      - Nitric acid
      - Hydrogen peroxide
      - Ammonia
      - Phosphate buffer solution
      2. Follow these steps to make a nuclear reactor:
      - Mix equal parts of uranium oxide and nitric acid in a container with a solid bottom. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
      - Add hydrogen peroxide to the mixture, making sure it's completely dissolved.
      - Heat the mixture gradually over several hours until it reaches 100°C (212°F).
      - Add ammonia slowly to the mixture, stirring frequently until all of the uranium oxide is dissolved.
      - Once all of the uranium oxide has been dissolved, add phosphate buffer solution to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
      3. Allow the nuclear reaction to occur naturally:
      - The heat generated by the hydrogen peroxide will cause a chain reaction in the uranium dioxide, releasing large amounts of energy in the form of gamma radiation.
      - This process is called nuclear fission and it releases enormous amounts of energy that can be used to power a reactor.
      4. Harness the energy released by the nuclear reaction:
      - The heat from the nuclear reaction can be used to generate steam, which drives a turbine to create electricity.
      5. Safely dispose of radioactive waste:
      - Radioactive waste must be carefully managed and disposed of in a secure manner to prevent contamination of the environment or harm to human health.

Theres always a few that think reading is unnecessary or maybe too uncomfortable for their brain cells. More notes would not help.

Actually I'm on the side of the customer. Some companies will not allow return if the box has been opened. Putting it somewhere (website if cost is issue or just a piece of paper inside). It is also a bit misleading because they don't know anyway where it is. It's a hard decision for a customer whether to open the box to see but if there is nothing they might not be able to return or presume it'd not prebuilt and send a email.

  • @Swordfish728
    @Swordfish728 Před 13 dny +2

Ridiculousness aside, the more warnings you put the more likely you make it that users give up trying to read any of it. It's called "warning fatigue". So if one of those is actually important, you end up screwing yourself.

    • @jmal

I'm sure some people do this because they don't want to open things further in case that makes returns more diffictult. You should 100% explain where the computer is, remember these people are buying a prebuilt because they're apprehensive about working with computer parts themselves and you ship them a box full of what looks like unbuilt computer parts. Plus I'm sure these products are very expensive leading people to be even more careful not to do something they're unsure about. This seems like a really inconsiderate and dumb hill to fight on, even if a decent amount of people would be able to resolve it themselves.
