    I don't even own a scoot any more but I watched this entire series. It's the best how to guide on any topic I've seen. Everything explained clearly and concisely. Bravo.

    Dude! Thanks so much for your videos!!!! I watched all 13 and applied almost everything to the PDI of my new Tao Tao Roman 150 scooter. It's running great! I couldn't have done it without you! Thanks!

    You have some of the clearest steps/instructions I've found for these cheap scooters. I just ordered basically the same one from amazon and will be using your video series to ensure it's set up the best it can be. Thanks

    Just wanted to give a quick thank you for these videos. I was looking for a "budget" scooter because don't have the money to buy a $3000+ Honda, (don't know if any of the dealers in my area are reputable), so this is definitely going to help me if I go this route. Subscribed and thumbs up.

    Wow. I just watched the entire playlist one after another. I can't wait to get my scooter. I only hope the Roketa is similar to this. It's a 150 so I know it'll be larger. I just hope the mechanics are similar. I've never seen instruction videos in any category as clear and perfect as yours. Props to you. And thank you for taking the time to put these videos together.

      Body panels will be a bit different, since I'm not sure they put a 150 into this chassis. The general process will be very similar though if you want to do a PDI. Good luck with it.

      Not a problem bro can't wait to see update 5 on that little taotao .I've gotta question for you though I've got a kymco agility 50 and I ordered a 50mm or 82cc big bore kit for it is doing this upgrade going to kill my crank bearings? Cause I've read if you bore it out to far it will destroy the bottom end after about 3000 miles

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  Před 10 lety

      Patrick Edwards
      Riders report mixed results, but most likely longevity will decrease. I put in a new Chinese crank when I did a 50mm big bore on my last four-stroke and the rod bearing failed at 2,003 miles. A 50mm piston is much heavier than a 39mm or even 47mm piston. The bottom end has to deal with acceleration and deceleration of that mass rapidly, plus greater forces from the larger bore.Avoiding high RPM should help the engine last longer, so make use of the torque and skip adding items such as an aftermarket camshaft that are likely to raise peak power RPM. Hopefully your Kymco crank holds up better than the average Chinese scooter crank.

    well right now I'm seeing top speeds of 50-55 by just derestricting and running aftermarket bolt ons but I just want to be able to keep up with traffic and be able to climb hills at a decent speed that's the main reason I'm doing this upgrade cause it sucks at going up hills oh and will keeping good clean oil in it help the bottom end to or dose it just prolong the life of the top end ?

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  Před 10 lety +1

      Regular oil changes are good for basically anything the oil comes in contact with.

  • @DivergentDroid

    The first bolts you put in from top down held the trunk.. so what's the purpose of the metal brackets?

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  Před 3 lety +1

      You wouldn't necessarily have to use them in an installation like mine. On some models, you don't have mounting holes that align so the brackets help there. I add them because it can use any help it can get for rigidity or even a sort of backup.

    • @DivergentDroid
      @DivergentDroid Před 3 lety

      @@49ccscoot I watched 3 videos the people who sold me the scooter made about putting on those universal trunks. In one they mounted the bars side by side, another crossing each other and yet another front to back.. I pretty much figured out it doesn't matter at all how you mount any of it as long as it holds together. Just get the mounting base on first them mount your trunk to that and you are gravy baby.

    Having problem with Rattling ! Due you have any suggestions ? & yes it is Chinese topbox LOL . Seems to be made good, can I use rubber stripping & that might give it a better seal IDK . Thanks my friend cool vid 🔥🔥🙌Salute & Happy Thanksgiving 🦃😎

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  Před 4 lety +1

      Gotta figure out what's rattling for sure. If it's the 2 halves where they meet, I think rubber/weatherstripping could work. If it's something like the lock or hardware, it may just need to be tightened. Could even be decorative stuff like fake tail light lenses on there.
      Happy Thanksgiving.

    • @just4kicks950

      @@49ccscoot yeah it's the 2 halves rattling & only so much to adjust.! Going today after work to find a rubber stripping & give it shot ! It's so thin were the halves meet together, might not be able to find stripping I could use silicone but trying to keep it clean as much as I can 🤗 got the rest of the scoot reliable & squared away If I Can't stop the rattle , I'll just take it off. Always appreciate info my friend, take care 💯Salute 😎

      @@just4kicks950 If all else fails, aftermarket boxes are made much better and have better mounting systems and larger capacities available. I've got a monolock style case on my TMAX and I really like how easily I can remove and install the case. Takes a couple of seconds and can be carried like luggage when it's off. Prob slightly harder to break if some jerk wants to steal from you too.

      If it's close, maybe you can enlarge holes a little. If it's not close, possibly drill as needed. If it's brand new, maybe contact the dealer and see if there's a mistake or if they're aware of the issue and can offer a solution.
