@@okobox9999 Yes, CZcams requires a call to a Nintendo server, so it is impossible without the use of homebrew to use CZcams on a hacked switch.
Hope Nintendo enjoys encouraging piracy, because if they stop access to the eshop and people can't get their games digitally, piracy is literally the only option they have.

Well if you didn't hack the switch this could had been avoided. People are dumb, if you made a popular platform and people pirated games for free. Then you wouldn't be so happy that piracy is going on, lesson is don't hack your switch if you just want to use the switch normally.

@@AwakenUniverse while a lot of people do hack their Switch consoles for piracy, many of us simply like to backup our purchased physical copies and also want to backup our save files without having to pay for Nintendo Online. It's quite ridiculous that basically every modern console since the original PlayStation has had a simple way to backup and transfer save files between consoles, but Nintendo requires you to pay for this basic functionality and the only other way to attain it is to hack your Switch. There's an article somewhere about a guy who lost 255 hours of Breath of the Wild gameplay because his Switch died, even before Nintendo online was released. I would have been less likely to hack my Switch if I could easily backup my save files. All my games are purchased physical copies or from the eShop. I accidentally turned on my wifi while in my custom firmware, got banned, and now the only way to me to update my games or download DLC is from third party shops normally only used for piracy. Nintendo's anti-piracy efforts are rarely ever enough to discourage piracy and may even encourage it in some situations.

I don’t have a banned switch since I don’t hack Nintendo products with emulators due to how serious Nintendo gets. But TBH, hearing about permanently losing access to eShop is extremely unnecessary, especially how anti-consumer it can be when you have your downloaded games locked behind the eshop store doors. TBH, I think Nintendo should’ve thought twice about that decision since stuff like that didn’t happen during the Xbox 360 era when Live bans happen only to online play.
If you get caught with your hacked console by Nintendo then they want nothing to do with you. Nintendo hates hackers because of piracy. It's like a food you can not stand to even look at.

It's really not too bad, I've been banned for about a day right now and my Switch is still just as enjoyable when it wasn't banned. 😇✌🏼

lol bricking your console is not very evil, it's like killing a suffering person to end their pain, It's much more eviler if they ban your switch and haunt it for the rest of your life knowing you can't do anything about that and the only way to resolve this is to destroy your switch, delete your saves, your users, and old nintendo online account and start from a clean slate with a new switch, new account and the whole nine yards, SO yeah they're eviler than you think.

Thnx man,i recently bought a switch n all of my consoles are modded so ofc i wanna mod it. I dont play online and tbh the YT on switch is kinda shit since i often press buttons accidentally during videos when in handheld mode. I'll still make an nand backup in case i ever decide to go vanilla again but this info has helped me to make an educated decision.
TBH if you don't play online it doesn't really matter if you hack your switch because if you still want to play with someone you can play locally

I recently bought a new Switch to play online with. I transferred all save data from my hackable Switch (Pre CFW), and then unlinked all Nintendo Accounts. I have not gotten banned yet on either Switch, but my question is do they ban the console or can they go and ban all accounts associated prior?
Right now I at least hope getting the switch banned is a major hurdle. Someone hacked my Nintendo Account and switched my switch from the primary console to a secondary console and it was infuriating. I saw the guy logged in from Indonesia when I looked at the last login. I called Nintendo and they got it fixed and I requested that they ban his switch. I hope this is a major inconvenience to that guy.

I thought they were gonna disable the option to participate within special things in eshop in example when something is on sale it’s still gonna be the same og price for the people who got banned or they wont be able to play demos instead of being completely banned from eshop lol

Does your whole account get banned or just your switch? So if you would buy a new switch and you login with the same account are you also banned on that switch.
Only the system gets banned. If you buy a new Switch, you can continue playing with your account on that one.

If you are banned is it specifically your profile that gets banned or is it the switch unit linked to the specific serial number? In other words, if I have a console that gets banned can I put my profile on a new console so my profile isn’t compromised and only the specific switch unit is?

You can't go online with them. Even installing them will probably ban you.

found a way to fix this (this is a joke and i am not a bot)
1: uninstall your games
2: sell your switch
3: use the money to buy a new switch
4: put the games in your new switch
5: bam no longer banned
is there any way to play free games without getting your switch banned? First time exploiting my switch and trying to learn the ins and outs.
There is no guarantee at all. There are ways to block out pings and calls to Nintendo services, but there are so many sneaky ways Nintendo tries to call to a Nintendo server that is basically impossible to actually not getting banned. Now a pretty decent solution is to use those games on an EmuNAND partition, while having your SysNAND be a completely clean stock software. You can play your homebrew/other things on your EmuNAND, and if you want to play online you can use your SysNAND.

Just gonna say, the best way to play DBD is usually pc or Xbox or PS4 as the visuals and performance are so much better. Not saying this as an insult just a suggestion if your looking for another way to play it. Same with rocket league.

Yes you can. You can just not get patches and updates without either getting it from things like Tinfoil, or manual. Physical games should work fine alltogether though.
Just download a app called Hb app store
From there 2 apps.
If you have trouble with changing the time because of the parental settings, download in this store SWITCHTIME (searchterm:clock)
This app will change tge time of your system outside tge nintendo server if you got banned.
2nd download download reset parental search tern in the HB app store is parental.

@Stove10706: Their could be other reason then hacking for banneing the online services, maybe how you behave while playing mario kart 8 deluxe online, for example if you stay with a row of item block and wait just to take them all before the other player does, bully an opponent you do on purpose to stay back to target the same player over and over again, and the other one excesive sandbagging. The most recent patch for the people that does not have it banned patch sandbagging, so you can only do it once per row of item block. Meaning if you hit a row of item box, you can only hit that same row a second time on the same lap for sand bagging doing more time will always result in lower tear item.
This actually isn’t bad but I play smash online so I’m gonna get a switch used for a good price if I can and get that one modded.

That's not true at all. If you've watched my video you can clearly see you don't lose games and progress, and spoofing amiibo's is undetectable, so you're fine! Nintendo can't tell the difference between a real and spoofed amiibo, it looks the same on their end.

Do not worry! Your account does not get banned! As far as saves go, you just have to try it out. DLCs can be redownloaded from the eShop.
