16:10 That graphic says 7.86 trillion YEN, not Dollars. In US Dollars, that number is equivalent to $56.55 billion, which is still impressive for Nintendo
Oh damn lol
Yep 😂
Also, Sony's market cap is more than double the Nintendo
Sony is a juggernaut but keeps fucking up in video games
@@graymars1097 True, Sony, as a whole, is worth more, but they're in many entertainment markets, not just video games. Nintendo is basically only in the video game market. Yes, they had a few tv shows in the 80s and 90s, a movie in 1993 and another one 2 months ago, and partnered with Universal to open some Nintendo themed Theme-parks, but most of their current money is from their games and game systems. And if we're going by just the video game market, Nintendo's brand in video games has the PlayStation brand beat by about 1.5x, with PlayStation only making up about $37.45 billion of Sony's Dollars.
I noticed that as well
@@DangoUnchained8649 is so un believable fat
The switch gained more attention overnight than the Wiiu did in its lifetime
That is very unfortunate.
The WiiU is my favourite console. :(
@@karimalaili6109ture for me to
The wii u has some good games that are not on switch, like legend of zelda wind waker HD and splatoon
@@superintenseminecraftplaye4179 Paper Mario Color Splash was decent, Wii Party U was also pretty good.
@@karimalaili6109 The wii u also could also play nearly every Nintendo game ever, which is pretty cool

The DS was actually the first Nintendo Console to not be region locked.
only the OG and the Lite, The DSi is region locked.
You forget about the Gameboy...
@@Zakko64 Yeah, the *DS,* the DSi is a different system, it has its own exclusive games that the DS can't run.
It was the Gameboy
Tears of the Kingdom was never meant to fail
its just clickbait
@@ryan_765 Ah, glad I didn‘t wacht the video
@@Gerotzried But the switch ITSELF was expected to fail when it first launched by the head of Pokemon, so the graphic wasn't completely wrong even if it was pointing at Tears of the Kingdom (since it could be argued that it was pointing at the console and not the specific game, though that argument could go both ways)
Edit: No! I was actually wrong. Good on you, video creator.
8:39 The second Nintendo device to have a protected flap for the Game Cartridge slot was the New Nintendo 2DS XL not the Nintendo Switch. They even reused the same material for the Switch one. It's the second homeconsole one to do so though.
I've had a 2DS XL for a couple years now, and that same fact kinda confused me.
The factoid was console not device so it kind of depends on if a handheld console counts. I mean it should but yeah. Switch is both an at home and handheld console so could've just meant at home console.
The New Nintendo 2DS XL released in july 2017, 4 months after the Switch.
@@cookieguy9885 oh dang you’re right, that explains it. Crazy to think about lol.
For 16, if you guys didn't notice by now, if you enter your bedroom in Pokemon Sword or Shield, you can find that they know what color joy con you are using
Unless it’s a white joycon, those are gray

Bro imagine working your whole life in some of the most important positions in a multi billion dollar company while creating works of art left and right only to be given the official title of “creative fellow”
Frankly, it sounds like a title he could've come up with for himself. $:^ ]
a fellow can mean "an elected graduate" as well as "an incorporated senior member", and comes from Norse, while the old English meaning of it was "partner or colleague"
It's amazing 6-7 years into this systems lifetime, people are still loving it and talking about it almost as if it was still brand new! The Switch is definitely one of the best systems Nintendo ever made. Its a shame a new system is probably gonna be announced next year. The switch still has years and years of potential left in it!
I mean.. what about the joystick dri-

i'm pretty sure that the ds wasnt region locked either. also the snes had a cartridge flap.
No I have pal ds and I borrowed NTSC cartridge and it didn't work and for SNES european version don't have and as I know other ones too but I am sure only about european
@@placekpieall of the gameboys are not rejoin locked, I have a north american gba sp, and I can play japanese gameboy games

The new 2ds xl also had a cartridge flap
I played the Korean version or Pokémon black in my NA ds
8:03 some of the systems might not work, depending upon what version you’re running it does work for Apple certain version
This channel: "Switch has longest lifespan of any Nintendo console"
NES, SNES and Wii: 👁️👄👁️
The N64 isn't technically region locked either since all you have to do is swap out the cartridge tray in the console one that doesn’t have tabs in it, there's no region locking chip in the cartridges or console with the only thing being different are the tabs on the cartridge case and in the cartridge tray
Neither are the NES or SNES. It's just that the cartridges are shaped differently to fit each regional system. There are certain adapters to un-region-lock the consoles
@bradymelo8952
Actually, those two are region locked because of a special lockout chip in them
@@bradymelo8952 Do research before commenting

@@bradymelo8952technically nes was region locked i got nes asian version in which u can not play nes us/ca games. It only play nes asian version game cartridges
The new 2ds XL had a cover for the game cartridge/SD card slot as well
Pardon me if I’m wrong the reason mario kart 8 deluxe is most popular on the switch is because most switches are sold with mario kart 8 deluxe already installed on them.
It would be so cool to get a themed background with a themed switch
Here are some more facts:
- Either Rocket League, Fortnite, or Apex Legends is the most downloaded game on the E-Shop.
- Nintendo has been known to put mobile games on the E-Shop. Once they put a Mario ripoff on there.
- Some notable examples of Switch mobile games include a Fall Guys ripoff, a SpongeBob cooking game, and many other weird games. Asphalt 9 is the most popular one.
- There are only three mobile Nintendo games. They are Super Mario Run, Mario Kart Tour, and Fire Emblem Heroes.
- I think there is only one Donkey Kong game on the Switch, Tropical Freeze (which was originally a Wii U game)
- If the first Pikmin and Splatoon games respectively are remastered for the Switch, the entire trilogy would be playable.
- Even though Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best-selling Switch-exclusve game, the best selling game on other consoles would obviously be Minecraft.
- The Switch is currently the first Nintendo console to have two Mario Kart games (8 Deluxe and Home Circuit) and also the third to have two Mario Party games, after the Nintendo 64 and the Wii.
- The Nintendo DS is currently the only "retro" Nintendo console not to be part of Nintendo Switch Online. (Anyone remember Wii-U Home Console? It had games from every console from the NES to the Wii)
- (I think) Super Smash Bros Ultimate's DLC is the most downloaded DLC on the E-Shop.
- I can't remember what the most expensive thing on the Switch was but it was more than 1 thousand pounds (yes I'm british, fight me)
- I'm pretty sure the Switch sold more copies than every previous Nintendo console combined (except for Wii)
- The Wii, Wii U and Switch are the only consoles not to have achievements (every PlayStation and XBox game since that era had trophies and achievements)
- Nintendo betrayed Sony in order to team up with Phillips to create the CDI. We wouldn't have Hotel Mario or Wand of Gamelon if Sony worked with Nintendo.
The Nintendo 64 has *_*3*_* Mario Party video games on it, so the Nintendo Switch is the *_SECOND_* - *_*NOT*_* third - Nintendo home console system to have 2 Mario Party video games on it.
@@StevenVillman Oh, my bad.
Love the videos, man. Keep it up!!!
11:30 SNK did it before Nintendo. The Neo Geo and Neo Geo CD are wholly separate consoles in the same generation, as there is no Neo Geo CD add-on for the Neo Geo.
Imagine you just get on your flight to go to san diego and you wind up with a free switch. that would be so wild
9:54 You forgot about the pastel blue on the ACNH themed Switch
11:30 hasn’t Nintendo released one handheld and one home console in each generation. That should count as two, right? (Also the Virtual Boy)
Miss Nintendo! Hope they make you come back even better than ever before.
What do you mean “Miss Nintendo” they’re still around.
@@DannoTechTips🤓
I have to say, even though Nintendo is known for gatekeeping most of their content from fans they do a fine job at promoting any of their latest games if it is a touchy subject to current events happening in the world.

Hey guys, here are 100 Nintendo Switch Facts that you absolutely didn't know:
1. The Switch has a power button.
2. In contrast to the 3DS, the Switch actually has only one screen.
3. The main use case of the Switch is to play games.
4. You can play Mario games on the Switch.

5. its a console
6. Keep Yourself Safe
7. Breath of the wilds was meant to fail, not clickbait
8. Mario's A communist
9. Mario eats spaghetti
10. In contrast to real life, the sky is actually blue in Mario's world. And we know this by looking at the sky, and using a color picker to determine that it is in fact blue.

4:50 yeah but the user selection screen is so I iconic
As someone who lives in Britain I can say we never found out what it was called until the second trailer for some reason we never got the first trailer
I have a question what is the difference between the oled model and the regular switch
This was useful I'll sub
this conviced me to dig up my switch just to see how much changed lol

The New 2DS XL also had a protective flap
Yes, but it came out 4 months after the Switch.,
That D-pad on the lite is super AMAZING 🤩!!
8:32 The New 2DS uses a protective flap. The switch is actually the 3rd console to feature one.
The New 2DS came out 4 months after the Switch. The New 2DS was released in July 2017 (earliest date being July 13, 2017 in Japan and Korea) while the Switch was released March 3, 2017 (simultaneously worldwide)
Nintendo IS NOT the only company to release 2 consoles in the same generation. Atari 2600 and 5200 are devices from the exact same generation, both are different consoles. So fact 69 (nice!), is incorrect. Oh yeah, Sega did the same with Mark 2 and Mark 3 (Master System), different consoles, same generation.
Some people think he meant the only one that still does it to this day but okay
THE TRANSITON IN BETWEEN FACTS IS DRIVING CRAZY
the snes n64 also had those protective cartridge caps
I actually played smo for the first time today! It is very entertaining
Please can you make a video about how in the Mario bros movie it hints MK10. It says on the side of a pipe on their van MK105OON hinting that MK10 is coming soon. I saw this on a reddit post and not a single Nintendo CZcams channel seems to have noticed. Please help spread the word
Well if it’s only being shown on a Reddit post and no one has covered it, it is likely to have been fabricated.
Why would they make mario kart 10 if theres no mk9
Nintendo considers mario kart tour number 9. Or they could just skip 9, there is no iPhone 9 or Windows 9

7:38 yup i can recall this because i had the og and the new battery life version at home
3:58 Reggie’s so real for this
That snap sound sure is satisfying.
there's also another secret it's that you can transfer game data on switches if they have the same account you can go to settings then data management and transfer data on both switches then on the switch you want the data transferred to you press the button of the right and it will wait for a switch to want the data transferred then on the other switch press the button on the left where it should tell you to choose account you want to transfer the data to then pick the game and put the switches close together and it will load then it's done it saves stuff like switch online but it doesn't work with down loaded content like booster cores deluxe pack
For the NSO app, that was helpful, now I know I have all 4
The last one isn't true it's in Japanese yen wich would be about 56.551.128.000,00 dollars
“Nintendo is the only console manufacturer to release multiple consoles a generation”

Right after I watched this video, I got an Ad featuring Nintendo Switch Sports, and I thought: ''Wow. They're STILL making commercials for this game? I thought they'd given up on NSS MONTHS ago!''
4:00 there really was “tears of the kingdom” 😭😭💀
i got the pikachu and eevee bundle when i got my switch but the joycons broke and i had to repair the switch, but i still have the dock and back art
it upsets me that nintendo has been using usb-c on the switch since 2017 & yet apple hasn't moved on from there slower, proprietary & more expensive chargers for even the newest iphones
Very fascinating! And I intresting TOOO!
the bitter coating thing is relatable. I have a habit of fidgeting with things by my mouth(especially while gaming or watching something), so while i was watching a video actually just b4 this one, i was fidgeting by moving the cartridge on my lips. Ididn't even notice I was doing it until after i was done with the video. I licked my lips and was like eughhhh
Removing the NES Golf easter egg is just pissing on a man's grave AND the flowers his family left him
U forgot that joy cons are sold separately now. Which is awesome.
Fun fact. Did you also know the on/off button will eventually start or turn off your console if you press it ?
I bought a 256gb memory card for my phone, and was gifted an iphone, so now I have a free micro SD card sitting around doing nothing, it will be good to use it in the switch.
ive always thought that the switch was just the first 9th gen console, it just came 3 years earlier than the other consoles
What about gold joycons? Isn't that an official color? They came with my Zelda Edition, bought it on june 1st. The NES was on the market for 7 years when the SNES came out. Switch still has almost a year to go before being on the market the longest.
3:25 I think everyone knew about that one 😊
Item 68 Technically Nintendo released 5 sets of controllers for the switch, NES , Super Famicom , Super NES , N64 and Sega Genesis
I have a switch lite (Yellow) and my favorite game I’ve been wanting to get my hands on was Link’s awakening I even have the amiibo
15:37 I did not see anyone
I got a dubble red joycons back in 2017
8:38 and then there's the 2ds xl being the 3rd. yes, it came out after the switch. it's weird. lol
fact 25 was quite some tears for the kingdom that was united
Reggie is right link is hot
I had a dream i had to cleave my joycon in half to stop the drift.
Nintendo Switch is a 9th generation console. A generation isn't defined just by graphical fidelity. It's literally the first 9th gen console like the Wii U was the first 8th gen console.
16:12 That's Japanese Yen, not US Dollars
Fun fact there actually is a company worth one trillion DOLLARS, it’s called black rock
3ds launched in 2011 and WiiU in 2012, they are both consoles and that was a much shorter gap than the time between WiiU and Switch coming out
Is anybody gonna talk about how the thumbnail has super Mario odyssey 2?
Yeah I noticed that
Yup
my Nintendo switch has a life of its own and can control the game but I finally know why thx (always trying to go to the right in the menu, moving my camrea spinning around in minecraft, and moving Mario again to the right in super Mario maker 2) 12:17
and now i want to taste a switch cartridge
13:00 They could've made The OLED model have 2K and Original HD
I would've bought it
I mean, no they couldnt. the Tegra chip can barely run most games at 1080, and it struggles to run many games at 720. doesnt help that its massively underclocked as well.
1:56 Iwata passed away on July 11th 2015, not June.
16:15 that's impossible for now
I can't believe that the switch controllers have a blue light for notifications. :O
i have friend who has a normal nintendo swich who didint knew he could remove the joy cons 💀💀💀
2:02 this one isnt even about the nintendo switch but is about creative fellow
The DS is not region locked, although the DSi do not have the option of changing the consoles system language (but the 3ds and 2ds bring back system language options). Yet all DS and 3ds (but not DSi exclusive) games are region free and the consoles will play games from any region (although the 3ds eshop is limited to the original region). The gameboy, GBC and GBA are also not region locked.
the "change your IP to this to browse google"... is not an IP address. its a DNS server address. domain name system. IP is internet protocol. your IP is specific to you, like a mailing address. a DNS is like the post office, its where your mail goes to be routed for delivery or receipt
i think number 52 about the game flap is incorect because the 2ds xl also had it before the switch
I know there’s only so many Switch facts, but so many of these are recycled from previous ‘100 Facts’ videos.
