He's like the scariest Megatron. Megatron in Animated is ridiculously powerful, like everytime I see him with the Autobots, I always think they're gonna get killed or something. I will admit Steve is one of the best Starscream voice actors, but Tom Kenny has always been my favorite ever since I got into the franchise back in 2007. Steve Blum is part of my Top 3. Frank Welker’s performance in Transformers: Prime was by far the best. Hell, EVERY performance in that show was the best those characters have ever gotten. That show was a flawless masterpiece!
Frank Welker and Hugo Weaving. Frank is the OG and so classic and iconic in the role, but I also like how demonic Hugo's Megatron sounds, which fit with the more devilish design he had in the live-action films. Both are excellent and are the gold standard for Megatron's voice.
As much as I'm a fan of Hugo Weaving's Megatron, I need to bow down to Frank Welker's version from The Last Knight along with his voice of Soundwave from the first series. I don't think one can speak lower than that. Thats scary and bold.
Buddy, you gotta work at having the audio levels for each piece of audio be equal. I'm having to turn the volume up and down because they are individually at different levels.

Fred Tatasciore (Great Megatron Voice from Fall of Cybertron and War for Cybertron) 4. Corey Burton (nice Megatron voice from Transformers: Animated 2007-2009) 5. David Kaye (a good Megatron voice from Beast Wars and Beast Machines)
Frank Welker, no questions ask. I wish he could have been cast for the live-action films. What's interesting is that Corey Burton was the original voice of Shockwave.
@@titanstudios2683 yeah, well that's where I disagree there, and Frank Welker is not a younger person anymore, so of course it's gonna sound too elderly to you, but then again that's your opinion, and I got mine, the man is a legend after all, next to Mel Blanc!
Frank Welker is absolutely the one true Megatron. His portrayal in Prime was fantastic, and rich with intricacies. He made Megatron more than just a sunday morning cartoon villain; he gave the character humanity, and that's what makes him terrifying. Hearing him return to play Galvatron in Age of Extinction after three movies of Hugo Weaving's sound-and-fury rageful version of Megatron was so wonderful.
I swear Frank's voice is like a fine wine, it's only gotten better with age. TFP Megtron is easily the most intimidating portrayal we've ever gotten Imo. Most versions tend to go for the more typical "brutal, iron-fisted tyrant" voice while TFP Meg sounds more like an old, battle scarred warrior that despite his age you know you do NOT fuck with, which is all too fitting considering his past as an undefeated Gladiator in the Pits of Kaon
My top 3 favorite voices: 1. David Kaye. I love all of the characters that Kaye voices, because his voice fits their personality. Also I just love Beast Wars, goddamnit. 2. Frank Welker. The voice is so iconic, and so good, like every other character Frank voices. Also, I am a Geewun without the distaste for other shows and Transformers Prime was, in my opinion, the best TV show to get released in 2010 and to me, it is even the best Transformers show ever. Period. 3. Hugo Weaving. I've seen all of the live-action Transformers movies minus ROTF and the one that hasn't come out yet, and I actually am enough of a degenerate to actually like the movies I've seen. But Megatron is my favorite part. That voice is imposing and scary as hell. Outstanding job, Hugo!
Alexander Cook Meh. The best are: 1: Frank Welker 2. Daniel Riordan 3. Fred Tatasciore 4. Hugo Weaving Hugo doesn't sound very Megatron but it's a cool voice nonetheless.
Fair enough, Stephen Fox. I found Riordan cheesy at times, but Tatasciore was solid as Megs. I like Corey Burton for bringing an ice-cold edge to Megatron, while Kaye and his "Yesssss" from Beast Wars is legendary
My thoughts exactly. If anyone wants proof, have them play the first mission of War for Cybertron and get to the part where Megatron gets the Dark Energon. That shout of I. AM. MEGATRON! will shatter any doubt
David Kaye gives Megatron soooo much charisma when it comes to villainy. He was my #1 Megatron mostly because I grew up with him. Frank Welker is a classic that should be recognized as well
My top favorites are Animated, War for Cybertron, and the movies. War for Cybertron Megatron is in my opinion the best voice for G1 Megatron, while Animated's voice just feels good for some reason. EDIT: Ohmygosh I forgot about Prime Megatron! He is also the best G1 voice for Megatron.

MediaMan18 Burton gave me the chills! He is not a man (or robot I should say) you want to mess with! Frank Welker kept working with the Autobots and would fail so many times. Burton never took crap from nobody! He killed Starscream right off the bat, have backup plans for his back up plans, a great monipulator, and just an apsalut badass! He could kick the shit out of G1 Megatron!
David Kaye is the best megatron ever in beast wars and beast machines!!!!In fact he is my favorite transformers ever
Yeesssss
I like both Frank Welker's original take on Megatron as well as his new take on him in Transformers: Prime. But, i also like Hugo Weaving's take on him in the movies.
Hugo Weaving has definitely had an impact on how Megatron sounds in all post-2007 movie stuff
Damn. Frank Welker 1984 is so different from Frank Welker 2010. Prime Megatron is easily the best, but David Kaye does a really good job too.
As great as Frank Welker was, my favorite has to be Corey Burton. His voice is just so freaking chilling...Transformers Animated as a whole was just an amazing show!
I had no clue they got g1 megatron to voice prime megatron...*starts clapping*

This just sounds right with all the synthesizer.

Do voices of galvatron
For Frank Welker you forgot that he did two of the movie games from Transformers The Game and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen The Game.
If I did, it would just sound like the TF Prime version, I don't include every role that they voiced
***** Actually it was closer to his G1 performance.
1: Frank Welker
2. Daniel Riordan
3. Fred Tatasciore
4. Hugo Weaving
The rest are meh.
My top 3
1. Frank Welker (Transformers Prime mainly)
2. Hugo Weaving
3. Fred Tatasciore
Corey Burton's portrayal of Megatron is so slept on. I love Frank Welker's Megatron, don't get me wrong, but god damn Corey just works so well.
Frank Welker and Fred Tatasciore.
I grew up with Hugo Weaving’s Megatron & I think he was hella intimidating as well tbh
Mine would have to be either Hugo Weaving or Frank Welker
I gotta say the movie voice is my favorite, it’s more intimidating and fits his character more in my opinion especially in his movie appearance with the sharp teeth, strange hands, and larger stature
Personally, my favorite is the Armada Megatron.
Hugo Weaving’s voice sounds so menacing I love it
Frank Welker's voice is the perfect one, especialy in Transformers Prime.
Frank Welker’s performance in Transformers: Prime was by far the best. Hell, EVERY performance in that show was the best those characters have ever gotten. That show was a flawless masterpiece!
No it's not
@@titanstudios2683 It was
@@titanstudios2683 yes it is, kiddo. Imagine liking your own replies 🤡
Frank Welker and Hugo Weaving. Frank is the OG and so classic and iconic in the role, but I also like how demonic Hugo's Megatron sounds, which fit with the more devilish design he had in the live-action films. Both are excellent and are the gold standard for Megatron's voice.
Corey Burton's Megatron voice is seriously underrated. To undermine his performance would be most illogical.
1-Hugo Weaving
2-Frank Welker
David Baker yes
NotMerkable =)
David Baker UNACCEPTABLE!! Frank Welker is Megatron, and will always continue to voice him!!
Agreed, entirely
King Megatron You mean he is you!
Nobody summons Megatron!!!
(Transformers 1987 cartoon movie)
Corey burton was fucking awesome in Transformers Animated! And I love how they brought back Frank Welker in The Last Knight
DAVID KAYE. Holy hell, finally found his name. His role in beast wars was invaluable.
Frank Welker in Prime. He's much more threatening than G1's Megatron, and yet still somehow...I don't know...I'm gonna go with charismatic.
Thorn Wolfy g1's megatron was the most scariest to me.
You guys are wrong his voice just sounded like an elderly old man which is not badass and scarier other Megatron's voice actor is better
Optimus Prime True
@@titanstudios2683 Wrong!
@@titanstudios2683 good joke, kiddo. Funny how you literally liked your own reply 🤣
Frank Welker, Corey Burton and David Kaye.
What this guy said
Frank, Corey, Daniel, David, and Hugo are all gold!!!!
As much as I'm a fan of Hugo Weaving's Megatron, I need to bow down to Frank Welker's version from The Last Knight along with his voice of Soundwave from the first series. I don't think one can speak lower than that. Thats scary and bold.
1. Frank Welker
2. Fred Tatasciore
3. Corey Burton
4. David Kaye
5. Hugo Weaving
Buddy, you gotta work at having the audio levels for each piece of audio be equal. I'm having to turn the volume up and down because they are individually at different levels.
1. Hugo Weaving (Loved His Megatron voice in TF1, TF2 RotF and TF3 DotM)
2. Frank Welker (liked his Megatron voice in TF5 The Last Knight)
3. Fred Tatasciore (Great Megatron Voice from Fall of Cybertron and War for Cybertron)
4. Corey Burton (nice Megatron voice from Transformers: Animated 2007-2009)
5. David Kaye (a good Megatron voice from Beast Wars and Beast Machines)
Frank Welker, no questions ask. I wish he could have been cast for the live-action films. What's interesting is that Corey Burton was the original voice of Shockwave.
2:46 Is it just me or does this make you think of a sith from star wars?
There's only one true Megatron, and that's Frank Welker
Nah disagree never a fan of Welker's voice acting he's sounded too elderly to be Megatron David and others are better hands down
@@titanstudios2683 yeah, well that's where I disagree there, and Frank Welker is not a younger person anymore, so of course it's gonna sound too elderly to you, but then again that's your opinion, and I got mine, the man is a legend after all, next to Mel Blanc!
Hugo weaving had a beastly tone to him and my fav megatron is from the first movie
Hugo!
C'mon, why is this up for debate? Frank Welker is Megatron. Everyone else is either paying homage to him or playing another character.
+metimoteo
Nah, TFA megs was also something special.
So you’re saying David Kaye holds a candle to him?
No he's not Frank Welker's Megatron just sounded like an old man which is not menacing other Megatron's voice actor is better
They were all awesome
Welker's altered voice for Prime was much better than G1. Hugo Weaving is also very fitting.
frank welker and david kaye and hugo weaving.
My top 3 favorite voices:
Am I the only one who thinks that RID Megatron sounds really camp?
Likewise. Welker, Burton, Kaye, Tatasciore and Weaving are my top 5. The rest, including the camp RID voice and Trevor Devall are crap.
Alexander Cook Meh.
The best are:
1: Frank Welker
2. Daniel Riordan
3. Fred Tatasciore
4. Hugo Weaving
Hugo doesn't sound very Megatron but it's a cool voice nonetheless.
Fair enough, Stephen Fox. I found Riordan cheesy at times, but Tatasciore was solid as Megs. I like Corey Burton for bringing an ice-cold edge to Megatron, while Kaye and his "Yesssss" from Beast Wars is legendary
+Alexander Cook Beast Wars Megatron is probably the most entertaining to date. Legendary.
Mercurius II, agreed. I love how David Kaye did the voice. It's so easy to do an impersation of.
Fred Tatasciore, personally. As much as I like Hugo Weaving, Fred feels more like Megatron.
Frank Welker is a classic that should be recognized as well
i like all of them, but i like hugo weaving the most. he makes megatron sound so menacing and scary and i love it
Frank Welker G1... There is no other Megatron!
0:33 holy hell, didn't realize that was frank. That's awesome
You give me great honor tracking that ship to the moon.
