1. Frank Welker - although it's just the computer effects, it sounds awesome 2. Issac C. Singleton Jr - less robotic but equally awesome 3. Peter Jessop - a light robotic tone and still evil 4. Jeff Bennett - like Jessop but not an true decepticon in animated 5. Bronco Jackson - a deep, inhumane voice that has no robotic effect but still scary
@@SessionSakic I was honestly surprised that it wasn't Welker who voiced WfC/FoC Soundwave. Gotta say that Singleton deserves the title of Soundwave once Welker leaves.
@@anonymoususer5936 Facts and it’s intimidating as hell. Soundwave in Fall Of Cybertron was the best Soundwave of all time in my opinion. Which isn’t saying much because everyone in that game was EXCELLENT. Definitely my favorite piece of Transformers media ever
Frank Welker with that E powerchord to F tritone on the vocoder gives me the chills still and I just turned 42! My favorite for sure, but nostalgia can never be beaten.
I love how hypnotizingly musical his voice is. It leaves an otherwordlyness to his presence, and the way Michael Bay interpreted him as a Satellite (voiced by the original) gave him a real sense of omnipresence. Like he's always there and you're never alone
My favorite is any of Frank Welker's versions of Soundwave! In fact, Soundwave is my favorite Frank Welker character (tied on the same rank with Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget and the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin)! And I prefer Soundwave over Megatron.
frank, jeff, & issac are the best variations. Honestly, some of the others I didn't even know existed. Man the Transformers Franchise is eternal well Optimus Prime is a robot Jesus more or less so guess it fits.
I like Frank Welker because he’s the OG of sound wave actors, but I also lean towards Isaac C Singleton because his rendition just has that really techno, emotionless sound that we have all corn to recognize.
Peter jessop bring back nostalgia to me as a kid playing the Wii version of the game. I know the Wii version sucked but I did have the game on my ps3 yet.
I liked Frank Welker's take on Soundwave in both "G1" and "Prime" the best besides Welker's awesome performance as Megatron in both those series and even Devastator. Like one of the 'Cons said in "Transformers the Movie," they called him a "Bore" due to his robotic synthesizing monotonous voice, since he lacks emotion, but regardless, Soundwave is extremely loyal to Megatron to the end. And I found out from the word of God by the producers of the film, the one reason and one reason only Soundwave fought for leadership of the Decepticons was because he wanted to go back for Megatron after Starscream tossed Megatron, who was injured, out of Astrotrain's airlock when the healthy Decepticons jettisoned the injured and dying Decepticons out. Don't you agree with me on this whole positive comment for Soundwave the superior?
On the Transformers: Prime one, I don't remember him saying that. The only four words I remember him saying through out the entire series, was "Soundwave: Superior. Autobots: Inferior." Which was his famous line from G1. What episode did he say the things about Laserbeak? Or was that from a deleted scene or something? If anyone knows, please let me know. And Frank Welker, in my opinion, is always the best.
Probably. The original series though is The Transformers, also known in the fandom as Generation One or G1. I can't recall him ever saying that or using it when he's got a killstreak, but when he's ejecting his cassette as he says. I'm so confused on this haha. I've seen every series of Transformers, and still can't remember one time in Prime he said anything but that once that I stated. I'll keep looking, but thanks again.
Frank Welker no argument needed. Isaac C Singletom Jr has to be the second best for the same reason as all WFC and FOC decepticon voices that being we get to see a much darker and more real if you will side of soundwave
DumberOrange927 I personally loved it, he was so damn cool Especially when they acknowledged it a bunch of times "Do you have something to say Soundwave?" -Arachnid
He did when he was being interrogated. He probably found the "G1 80's Soundwave voice? in TF: Prime" video and took the audio from it, which is a fan video btw.
I'm still a g1 transformers series Fan since 1984 and always loved Soundwave's voice and wondered how Frank pulled it off? I'm guessing there was something electronic in his microphone
"I am Soundwave. I am Decepticon. The Revolution begins now."
"Soundwave Transform, Operation: Recruitment!"
The first words spoken when the deceptions invaded Iacon, starting the Great War.
Soundblast: I am Soundblast. Hijack, Ravener, Sliksharp, Recoil, Autobahn, eject, eject, eject, eject, EJECT!
Is that some bootleg pretender Soundwave?
That sound bite would make a great into to some power metal. Slow smooth start then insanity outta nowhere
1. Frank Welker (G1)
2. Isaac C Singleton Jr
3. Jeff Bennett
4. Frank Welker (Movie)
I agree with this list fully.
Ditto
Mine has Frank Welker (G1) and Animated tied up for first.
Mathew Seaman Corey Burton was Megs in animated. A.K.A. G1 Shockwave. And Animated Shockwave, as it turns out.
Riley Woods I know that.
Soundwave is always coolest when the voice synthesizer does more work than the actual voice. XD
Without the vocoder, it's Frank Welker doing his Dr. Claw voice from Inspector Gadget.
@@BrotherDerrick3X That is hillarious!
The truest comment here.
@FROZEN BAGEL Same
Frank Welker is the best. His soundwave is haunting. Used to give me chills when I was a kid. He sounded scarier than megatron
Agreement: 100%
Agreed
I liked TFA one more
Frank Welker. Again, this shouldn't be open to discussion.
I liked Isaac C Singleton Jr better. I like Frank Welker much better as Megatron.
metimoteo But it is.
metimoteo yes yes it would
Agreed. Frank Welker is soundwave and megatron just like Peter Cullen is optimus prime. Gary chalk is close but not quit there
illogical autobots are mechins megatron: they are trators who live to serve the humans. conclusion autobots must be destorid
There is one undeniable fact here: The one who really sells Soundwave's voice is Autotune.
Soundwave and Shockwave are my favorite transformers, it is crazy how lovable these villains can be
501R4K Same
Same here
Agree
krloz same
krloz that is logical
1. Frank Welker - although it's just the computer effects, it sounds awesome
2. Issac C. Singleton Jr - less robotic but equally awesome
3. Peter Jessop - a light robotic tone and still evil
4. Jeff Bennett - like Jessop but not an true decepticon in animated

I prefer Peter Jessop
All 12 people who disliked this are all starscreams
well starscream did clone himself
:)
Thats bad comedy ftom screamer
no they are blaster
Keric2001 LoL...yep
hate how they gave soundwave a pair of eyes and fangs instead of a visor in bayverse
Yozeh Sempie does anyone have a mouth plate in those movies? Prime looks so stupid with a mouth
bayformer movies not prime
Yozeh Sempie Soundwave has a visor in TF3.He uses it rarely
you sound like a 12 year old. plus there were already plenty of evil sharp toothed decepticons
garganrose The mouth is what makes Optimus's character so great. It lets him convey so many different emotions. Stop being blinded by nostalgia.
favorite voice, "I am Soundwave. I am Decepticon. The revolution begins now"
Favorite incarnation, the PRIME version.
illogical i am supirior
@@soundwave9166 shouldn't that be shockwaves line.

+stephen Parkes Congratulations, I've seen that video and thought it was great.
+stephen Parkes how did you do the sound effect?
SupaSpartan Gaming a vocoder
stephen Parkes hey I saw that vid just before this one
I was gonna say JESUS dude, that was intimidating
I thought Prime Soundwave was silent?
EDIT: all right, thanks. I know he spoke only once.
He did speak in the series, but only once
but yeah he said that and i love the line Soundwave superior Autobots inferior
***** Fred Tatasciore? i can't spell his last name.
yes he does not talk.😕
Oziel Souza yes he does
For the prime soundwave, why didn’t you put his actual dialogue which is “Soundwave superior, Autobots inferior

Singleton Was pretty good. Only one to stand up to Welker.
Joe Rooftop i agree
Jon Bailey would like a word with you.
His is like a modernized version of Welker's voice
Bennet and jessop were better I think
Indeed. He puts a creepy spin on Soundwave. Spine chilling.
My favorite is a tie between Frank Welker and Isaac Singleton Jr. Although, Jeff Bennett is my third favorite.
I think Isaac did a damn good job, he is no Welker but honestly no one can do Welker like Welker, but Isaac's was really good.
Same here! 😀
@@SessionSakic I was honestly surprised that it wasn't Welker who voiced WfC/FoC Soundwave. Gotta say that Singleton deserves the title of Soundwave once Welker leaves.
#1 Isaac C Singleton Jr.
#2 Frank Welker (original)
#3 Jeff Bennett
Completely agree l. Same order
I just found my two long lost brothers lol.I agree same order
mine's frank welker>isaac > jeff. i really loved the g1 voice of soundwave. it's cute.
Just the same order! :D
Mao Sama Jeff’s was good, it was just way too robotic
Frank Welker (G1) followed by Isaac C Singleton (WFC)
same
Frank Welker is definitely the best, especially in Transformers Prime.
Jeff Bennett is a pretty solid runner up.
It kinda sucked for me that Soundwave only spoke once in Prime!
Isaac C. Singleton Jr. easily has the most badass Soundwave voice. There's nobody even CLOSE
As much as I love Frank Welker, Isaac's interpretation is more than an autotuned doctor claw. It has _layers_
Fun fact: Frank Welker was supposed to be the voice for the War for/Fall of Cybertron games, but they just wanted to change it!
I wish the had his original voices in the films
Koen Slinkman it is the original voice of Soundwave in the movies, but it didn’t have the modulation like in G1
At least he does on the revenge of the fallen game
My goodness!
Fred Walker’s voice is so emotionless that it fully captures how soundwave should be!
So awesome!

Isaac singleton. It's like an updated version of the original frank welker voice.

Isaac's Soundwave, sounded like a cross between Welker (G1) and Welker (Movie).
Wow, excellent video, regards from Spain
cool awesome sounds mn!!!
I like how Robert Belgrade's Soundwave says "Autobots". XD
Welker. The he punctuates is just spot on.
that's awesome! one of these is a fan doing an impression and he's listed as an official voice here!
I know the prime voice was an edit but my god is it intimidating
Master of sound. FRANK WELKER & ISAAC SINGLETON
1 Frank welker: he will always be Soundwave
2 Isaac c singleton Jr: he does a great Frank welker impression
3 Jeff bennet: he sounds like he's singing

“Soundwave superior, Autobots Inferior”
“ I am Soundwave. I am Decepticon, the Revolution begins now”

Frank Welker and Jeff Bennet.
Frank welker wins always wins
Eric Jones by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The version of sound wave from transformers animated revenge of the fallen and fall/war of cybertron Is what I like the most
“Soundwave reporting, Lord Megatron”

WFC or G1 soundwave are my favorites
Oh hey! I made that render of Soundwave you used for the thumbnail. Ripped the model from War for Cybertron and ran it through Maya back in college.
Nothing beats Frank Welker and the Roland VP-330 used in G1!
Frank and Jeff are the only ones who got a cold-blooded bad-ass Decepticon, the rest are just robots with deep voices.

Frank Welker knocked it out of the park with 1984 G1 Soundwave!
The original g1 soundwave is the best
frank welker
I love how frank welker voiced three iterations of soundwave and they all sounded different so you can't tell they're all the same guy

Liam Pinno I saw that video. It wasn't bad. though I prefer his actual voice in prime.
Its a combination of his voice in G1 and in the films. I also kinda like it too.
Yeah soundwave did speak in Transormers Prime Beast Hunters
But was more of a combination between his DOTM voice, and a faint monotome voice to bring out the nostalgia
#1 Frank Welker (Awesome and
original)
#2 Issac C Jr (copied the tone and personalities of soundwave very well. The rest all suck.
I did like frank Weller and Isaac jr Soundwave voices alot
Jessop isnt that bad he had his own style

I could listen to Soundwave all day "Which one?" ALL OF THEM
FRANK WALKER SUPERIOR!! EVERYONE ELSE INFERIOR!!

Isaac c singleton Jr and Frank welker superior everyone else inferior
