James Spader is the best in my opinion. Very hypnotic sounding, yet soothing at the same time. Which honestly would make sense since I’m the film he(Ultron) was intended to be a peacekeeper so it would make sense for him to have a hypnotic soothing voice.
Tome Kane is easily the best voice for Ultron, bar none. The others sounded too much like evil diabolical humans, which wouldn't actually be so bad if the character they're voicing isn't human at all. Tom, however, he actually makes Ultron sound like an empty, emotionless logic-based robotic husk of a machine, thus making him more terrifying and menacing.
I don't know why but I always hear Tom Kane's voice in my head when I read Ultron's lines while reading comics but Brainiac, especially the pre-Crisis robot Brainiac, always has James Spader's "Ultron" voice.
Tom Kane is the best IMO, he makes ultron sound like a cold, heartless, emotionless machine that he is. Everyone else is either a bit too human like in their speech pattern or sounds too much like a robot.
Definitely James Spader. To answer your other question, I would like to see you do Comparing the Voices videos for Cloak and Dagger next, but they've both been played by only 3 voice actors each, and I'm not sure that's worth a whole video.

Tom Kane sounds like what Ultron is supposed to sound like, but to say that James Spader did an awful job would be lying. What people don't seem to understand is that they had to change the character a little to make him more interesting and likable in the MCU. Also to avoid complaints from people who would have said his character was too dull, though that part is kinda stupid, since he's supposed to be like the Terminators that Skynet built. Either way, Spader was a good choice for Ultron in that film.
Ironically, the changes made to him are what made me unable to like him. I love James Spader and I love Ultron and it was a great casting, but the way he was written and designed in the movie ruined it. Having Tony Stark build him just adds to the annoying fact that Stark's always the center of everything in the MCU. Hell, wouldn't be surprised if he gives Misty Knight her bionic arm like in the comics. Giving Ultron facial expressions makes him look too much like a Transformer from the Michael Bay movies and it humanizes him too much. Letting Ultron crack cheap jokes cheapened the character and him showing concern for the Maximoffs really ruined him. I fell in love with him in the comics because he was ruthless and without emotion and most definitely the inspiration for Skynet in the Terminator movies. I still enjoyed the movie but Ultron was the weakest part of it.
You are saying that some people would complain about him being too dull, yet, most people hate that movie because Ultron wasn't emotionless and terrifying like he is in the comics.
I weirdly encountered this on a research of Marvel Villians, but I feel that Spader is the best. This is based off my belief that, yes it is more human sounding and less machine, but that in itself makes it more terrifying, knowing something so seemingly human, has that same cold, ruthless intent on death and control, a mockery of what it hates.

I want to say James Spader but Tom Kane just captures Ultron better because he sounds like a machine.
