- The plaintiff says he rented an apartment from the defendant, but she got angry and booted him out when he asked if he could move his nephew in after his roommate died. He’s suing for the security deposit. The defendant says the plaintiff up and moved without notice, left the place a mess, and failed to pay the last month’s rent. She says she owes him nothing.

She had a expensive outfit on, didn't look to me like she was hurting for money. I was pleased with the verdict, just because she was so heartless in regards to the plaintiff's partner passing away. She had an excuse for that and many other things, the way she voiced it wasn't very well received by me either. She just rubbed me the wrong way, I could be wrong about her, but we all are just human.
Plaintiff could have been a piece of work too, but I found him to be a soft spoken, caring gentleman who just wanted someone to move in with him to help with the rent and I can imagine how she voiced her opinion about that to him. If she talks to people with the same attitude that she presented herself in court....I seriously doubt that she has to many friends.

It was awkward, and the camera cut away, because she was supposed to be on this side of that gate, she looked confused because there was obviously no seat for her in the gallery.

Seems like he should have gotten more if his security deposit was $1200 double would have been $2400 minus the $650 or whatever for rent and minus the $200 for clean up.
I thought it was wrongfully withheld though. Since there were damages she had to take the original deposit and subtract the damages and then double the amount that’s wrongfully withheld
