- The plaintiff says she’s a licensed esthetician, and claims the defendant bought a six-month laser hair removal package from her but got a refund from PayPal after four sessions. She’s suing for payment. The defendant says the plaintiff was unprofessional and says she owes nothing.

Sounds like the defendant is a bit of a spoiled brat and a liar, she didn't get her way about cancelling at the last minute and wanting another appointment for the next day, so took revenge, she's lucky because under normal circumstances a last minute cancellation is deducted, so I'm very glad the plaintiff won it all....

Defendant is a total scammer. Using Paypal? Come on! Paypal almost always sides with the payee and will refund quickly and easily. And what do you pay Paypal with? Your credit card! I'm sure the defendant has this scam down pat and gets many of her services for free this way all the while putting on an innocent face. She's probably definitely learned Paypal is more generous than her credit card company in getting refunds.
Paypal can also take payment from a bank account, but yes scammers like to use Paypal. I would hazard a guess that over 95% of Americans have either a Debit or Credit Card, plus a lot of places would accept EFTPOS.
Paypal gives the buyer 6 months to file a claim. Sucks for the seller
How do we know the plaintiff wasn't the one who preferred to be paid via PayPal? Ultimately she accepted the payment.
I got scammed and paid through PayPal, never got refunded, never received my item... so not always the case.

Well the place I got a quote from, the sessions were like $135 for 6 sessions or pay for the bundle at $500

The defendant was just trying to get some free sessions!! I've done laser hair removal. It's a long process. But after your 2nd or 3rd session, you definitely start to see results. She saw the results which is why she said she needed her in her life. She got mad when she wouldn't adjust her appointment for when she wanted. Glad the plaintiff won.
