- Heading down the South Stratford canal on our #narrowboat we visit some lovely villages and eventually end up in Stratford Upon Avon. The South Stratford was planned to be destroyed in the 1950's but was saved, restored and eventually re-opened fully in 1988. We visit Shakespeare's birth place and go and see a show which would have made his shoes curl!

What a lovely journey. I love when you show the quaint villages too. Here on Vancouver Island you don’t see that kind of history. Much of our history is Aboriginal, which is unique and very interesting but so different to your experience.

What a wonderful vlog. Happy memories for us as we did this trip last year at exactly the same time. Great to see Ralph and Rosie enjoying themselves on the towpath!! Our Ralf loved Wilmcote locks, he popped into the lockies shed and was given a biscuit. We are loving following your adventures as we had such a wonderful summer down there last year. Absolutely amazing, loved every second of that. We have our house on the market and this is our plan to buy a 50ft cruise or semi trad. My partner will work from the boat. I would sayvwe are around 2 to 3 months off being on the water. Any tips on buying our very first boat would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊
