Valheim: Starting our Journey to Valhalla! Ep 1 Modded Viking Survival gameplay series

- This is no normal Valheim let's play series. This is the start of our Journey to Valhalla! The final 3 biomes of Valheim have been brought to life - now it's up to us to survive them...
We start off in my vanilla end game base in the plains, and this is where we start preparing for the final three biomes, brought to life with the Journey to Valhalla modpack created by the Defside (YT channel link below). This episode I fill you in on what I've done up until now to set up my vanilla end game base, bring you up to speed with the mods I'm using and what to expect in the rest of the series!
In the next episode, I go hunting for bounties for high tier loot, and get absolutely wrecked trying XD

One big thing. There's a reason no one starts a playthrough after end game. We have not had the time to connect to your character. What makes viewers come back is the emotional ties we make during the struggle to get there. My advise, if you do this again, is start a new character. This will also give us plenty of time to learn the mods and your style. As of now, we are dropped in the middle with too much information to take in. You seem really talented as well as a nice guy so I'll try to stay with it. I must say though, it seems like I've started a playlist half way through.
EDIT: Yeah... this is just for veteran players. You already have such good equipment that everything is too easy. I subscribed in case you do anything new. Have a good one ! ~Mu
Hey man, what a great comment, thanks so much for the advice, I’ll absolutely take it on board in the future! I wish I could go back and do what you said but that was my very first videos and series, but I get CZcams a lot better now and I’ve learned a lot about editing, storytelling and what people like and don’t like, and to listen to comments like this! Really appreciate you taking the time to write this, I hope you stuck with the series, i assure you it gets better and better as it goes on! :)
Great video! I really enjoyed it. I love your endgame base, but that boat is sick! +1 for using the controller. It makes the camera a lot smoother which is great for videos. I can't wait to see the rest of the series! Subscribed!

@@JellyJamBoyGaming Ive never played solo. I play with 2 friends, but we never go into the Mistlands alone. I never thought about single player, and how difficult it would be. So, using Epic Loot makes sense. Hopefully it will even things out for you 😁
That boat is ridonkulous xD Had the raft mod too but didnt get anything close to yours!
Hey! Thanks so much I loved that boat 😍😍😍 if you take your time and plan out the boat you’ll end up with something really nice! Also if you have devcommands on using the ‘debugmode’ fly feature and the ‘raftcreative’ command lifts the boat out of the water and makes it way easier to build fast

@@JellyJamBoyGaming Have you ever seen the Fallout Story Teller?...can't recall the exact title of the series but I know the story teller had to quit because it drove him literal MAD! Amazing series & I defo wouldn't wish that upon you but hone your craft my Irish friend ') better to go mad than mundane & you have mad story telling skills. I'm English & the Irish accent & charisma is one of the best so go forth & conquer youtube ...tell the lore behind the game & behind the mod & you will stand out from the crowd...I'm old as fuck itself so that is my wisdom imbued upon u :)

this series is very interesting but sadly i cant get alot of enjoyment out of it because it feels like jumping into the middle of the series because you allready have a base set up etc, i like watching series of survival games like valheim but in this particular case theres just something missing for me, part of the fun (for me) is watching along, seing the progress etc but here its like watching a movie and starting half way through
Hey dude thanks for your honesty! I’m sorry you can’t get into the series, I started it at that point as I felt there were too many series of just normal Valheim playthrough, so I wanted mine to be different and start at the end of the vanilla game when the modded game starts, but I get what you mean!
@@JellyJamBoyGaming yeah i assumed something like that, and youre right there are alot of videos going over it from the start but imo thats because it works, if youre watching it from the start you feel like youre part of it but obviously everyone has their own preferences and there are alot of people who enjoy your series so obviously your aproach is just as valid
