Steps for Sprouting Grain:
1. Soak 4 cups of grain overnight in a half-gallon mason jar. In the morning drain and rinse the grain using a sprouting screen lid.
2. Place each jar upside down in a large bowl at an angle for 24-48 hours. Rinse twice a day. They are done sprouting when they grow a little white "tail".
3.Thoroughly rinse and drain, then spread thinly on dehydrator trays. Dehydrate on the lowest setting for 8 -10 hours, until the berries are fully dried.
4. Now they are ready to be ground into flour and used in your favorite baked goods!

Hi! My name is Sierra. My family and I left town life 8 years ago to live a Simpler more Self-Sufficient life. Whether you are dreaming of a simpler life, or are already elbow-deep in the dirt and manure, I am so glad you are here! I hope you find encouragement and inspiration in my videos to create the life you desire. Blessings!
You can also add a few lemon drops in the water. That makes the process faster. Very useful video and beautifully made! ♥️
Your informative and beautiful video is very well produced. Bravo!
I sprouted my grains for Passover/the feast of Unleavened Bread a couple years ago because I obviously wasn’t doing my sourdough starter that week. You’re right! It’s really not difficult to do. I think for me, it was hand grinding to flour that was a little daunting and that made me not want to do it again. Haha (I have the same mill as you!) I’m so glad you brought sprouted grains to my attention again. I do need to do it more often. Thanks!! Blessings!! 😃
Shalom and thank you for sharing,
I need to try this! Thank you for sharing! -Mari

Yes, I’m very interested in sprouting grains ❤
Thank you for this video. I never understood how the sprouting to milling process worked until now. And your video format was inviting and relaxing to watch.
Cool! I searched for sprouting Spelt and this video came up.
Awesome Video 🎉
Fermenting the sprouted grains is also important for best nourishment and appropriately minimizing anti-nutrients from the grains. Grinding and additional water is added for the fermenting.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼💗💙
