Michael Keaton's original last name actually was Douglas, he changed it when he became an actor because there was already an actor named Michael Douglas. So you're technically correct on accident.
Yes!!!!!!!!
I was gonna tell him that too. Beat me to it
Also, Michael "Wall Street" Douglas
didn't go by "Mike Douglas"
because, at the time he started
his career, there was a talk/variety
show host with that name.
For a sample, it's helpful to watch
1981's "Incredible Shrinking Woman".
And he couldn't go by his middle name, Jackson, because there was already a Michael Jackson on the scene.
This is gonna be one of those “save for later” videos😂
Watch it NOW!!!
Eh, I'll watch it right now.
@@CodyLeachYT okay, I’m on it😂
Cody please don't yell... I'm a sensi
@@MYERS13 ❤️ Dexter , you are the no.1 in my all time fav series waiting for s9
Great list son & not surprisingly I knew a lot of your list. Always enjoy being mentioned on our ventures in all these movies. Love you, Really enjoyed the video!
Thanks dad love you too
Awesome!! I’m trying to watch older comedies with my younger kids!! Hope to quote them for a lifetime like you guys!!!!
Planes Trains and Automobiles. One of the greatest movies of all time! My favorite comedy personally! Glad to see it’s very high on this list!
Hi, actual comedian here. I approve of this list. It features COMEDIES.
Hahahahahaha
*My top 5 favorite comedies*
1. Home Alone
2. Mean Girls
3. Friday
4. Dumb & Dumber
5. Rush Hour
LOVE Mean Girls and Friday!
Good short list 👍🏻
Great list
home alone is not a comedy
Check out kung fu hustle
I don't comment on a ton of videos in general, but I just want to say that I'm a big fan of the channel and go back to your reviews and rankings constantly, even if it's for background noise. Keep up the great work, man.
Perfect timing. To listen while working in the house.
Been watching through top 50 lists, I've done the horror, just finished this one and just about to start the action. But it's a breath of fresh air to actually watch lists that aren't saturated with the same paint by numbers 'best' movies over and over. The fact these are your own honest preferences already makes the lists so much more refreshing.
Also you're the first person I have seen that's ever highlighted Tommy Boy, Multiplicity, Girl Next Door as well as Stir Of Echoes and Frailty on your horror list, automatically makes you one of my favourite people on CZcams as these are all highly underrated movies that 'nobody' talks about, that I absolutely love. So keep up the good work 👍
Man, great 50! It's evident we grew up in the same generation watching these gems. Great call on giving Bedazzled the spotlight, and the scene from Dirty Work with Chris Farley at the jukebox I had forgotten about, had me laughing my ass off. All in all, thank you for this! Was surprised to not see Superbad though! Take care man.
Hahahaha, yeah, our lists could not be further apart from each other!
Such is life! Haha
Is the 31 on 31 for Nolan, Fincher, and Tarantino still coming on December 31st?
I can't wait for the new 31 on 31 ranking. Its gonna be classic.
@@williamsummerson1204 It's moved to Jan 31st
@@Robalexe I know thx homie

Thank you for giving Midnight Run the attention it deserves. I adore this film. Every actor brings so much great comedic delivery to the party.

Can you imagine if John Candy and Chris Farley ever got to meet and be paired together in a movie. Omg that would be an instant classic pairing and thinking about it makes me giddy and sad at the same time knowing we'll never get it because they both left us too soon.

Yes! Been waiting for this! You and Bryan rock!
Damn man, you got me. Subscribed. You don't know how many movies on this list I was looking for, but forgot the name. Good list!
Great list Cody! You really broke out some under appreciated gems in there. The Way Way Back has great performances from Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell. I would have Tommy Boy, My Cousin Vinny and Planes, Trains & Automobiles in my top 10 also. Fun fun list.
Great list! I agree with most of your picks. Tommy Boy and Planes Trains and Automobiles are definitely in my Top 5 also. Both are comedy classics that I never get tired of.
The Girl Next Door is my favorite comedy! Great list, and Merry Christmas, Cody!
Planes, Trains and Automobiles isn’t only the best comedy ever, but the best movie ever
So glad you mentioned "Dutch"! Great movie that I added to my collection a few years ago, after seeing it way back in 1991.
Hey Cody, glad you had the movie multiplicity on this list. Dutch was great too. Thanks for the entertainment man!!
Your gonna be busy cody 🤣 can't wait man this list was awesome alot of comedy's I'll definitely check out alot of comedy's I love just as much as u man 😁👍

Oh man you got some of my favorites on here. Great list
theres a comfort that comes with watching your videos. you seem like a likable guy
I work a night job at a hotel. Thanks for helping me get through another shift. Definitely rewatching to take notes.
Dude I’m sooooo with you on Dutch, one of my favs since I was a kid and I feel like nobody knows what it is! The fireworks scene is the best!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Enjoyed the list. Some of them I hadn’t heard of but will probably check them out sometime. The Dream Team and Taking Care of Business are another couple of movies I loved but aren’t talked about much.
Holy fuck, an hour! And I got a long drive ahead of me. Awesome!
I know right! I have a long commute to work and its great to have Cody's videos
Das good.
Yes! Love for Dutch! Totally agree about this movie! Did not expect that one. Fantastic list!
So glad to see you have Tommy Boy in your Top 5! Chris Farley was such a talented man taken away too soon!!!! He had so much potential for future films!!!! I feel that Kevin James wouldn’t even have a career had Farley not passed away.
Beverly hills ninja I believe is better than Tommy
@@bratosin1 Anything with Chris Farley RIP is hilarious. Even the dude that played Lui Kang in Mortal Kombat is in Beverly Hills Ninja which makes it even better.
love the way you presented yourself & these movies 🤟

Thank you for recommending Dutch, Secret Admirer, Dirty work & Money Talks, never seen them before and really enjoyed them.
Awesome!
A lot of "Big" was filmed in my home town of Cliffside Park, New Jersey.. I was fortunate enough to meet Tom Hanks and get an autograph. He is one of the nicest, warm and funny men I've ever had the chance to meet from the world of Hollywood
Can I just say that I loved seeing Bedazzled, Encino Man, K-9 getting some love here!
American Pie was THE movie of my teenage years. If Scream was the horror movie that defined my teenage years, American Pie was the teen comedy. I just watched it recently, maybe a month ago, and I STILL laugh.
Wedding Crashers...I laughed so hard all the way through that one and its where I gained and appreciation for Vince Vaughan.
SO much yes for My Cousin Vinny and I was thrilled to see Tommy Boy make your top five because I will stop and watch that ANY time it comes on.
You included SO many of mine, but a few I would add...Tropic Thunder, Role Models, Ski Patrol ( If you haven't seen it give it a chance. Paul Fieg, before he got involved in directing, stars in it with Leslie Jordan, Martin Mull, and Ray Wilson (Mr. Hand). Its a LOT of fun. I think you would enjoy it for what it is. Came out in the early 90s so its that era of stupid comedy. ) Noises Off (The cast is SPECTACULAR in this), and Due Date.
here are my Top 50 comedies:

good video keep up the good work i love the evil dead 2 shirt
Secret Admirer, Dirty Work, and Midnight Run are 3 movies (among others of course) I've tried to introduce to friends and family over the years, thanks for mentioning those, good to know I'm not alone!
Blazing Saddles is my all time favorite comedy, Mel Brooks is a legend
100% same. Greatest comedy ever made
I still have to see that one, thanks for the reminder.
Indeed
Overrated comedy
even thought some parts are funny. Mel Brooks other films are so much better
Great list cody i know what i can do for the next 50 days XD
Love these videos!!!
Joey Pants [that's what we called him in high school] was in drama classes all 4 years in school. He was a pretty good actor then and would always get the lead role in any of the plays put on by the drama club. Even though he's 3,500 miles away we still stay in touch, he's a very close friend. We were locker partners in gym class and he still owes me 2 pair of socks I let him borrow.
Thank you for the recommendations Cody, I have a lot of movies to watch now! BTW I'm wondering if Napoleon Dynamite is a favorite of yours and Superbad wasn't on this list.
Midnight Runs is one of faves as well. Eddie is hilarious and goes off the deep end in all of his scenes.
This is going to be fun listening to while driving.
Very awesome 👍 ranking video Cody 💯
I was hoping to hear u comment on each movie. I know it would've been a longer video but it would be worth it. I'm glad to see The Great Outdoors on here. It's in my top 5 fave comedies of all-time.
The one line you used to feature #48 here is pretty much the one I quote most from that movie to this day.
Great list🙌🏻👌🏻
Great to see Midnight Run as your number 1 criminality under seen and under rated film that is hilarious. Watched The Ref about a week ago after your recommendation from I think your favourite movie of every year of your life video (never seen it before but wanted to wait till Christmas to watch) and your spot on with that film, I loved it.
Awesome list 🤘

I love the fact that your favorite Jim Carrey movie is The Cable Guy.
Lots of surprises but you dont talk about comedies that much so it was cool to hear you on this genre. I watched the Cable Guy a couple of weeks ago, and it was a shame it was bashed by the critics back then. Beside the fact the Broderick is not a good actor, its a fun movie. My #1 Carey movie is Me, myself and Irene tough. Anoter nice video, must have been a lot of work!
WOW! I have not heard anybody talk about The Cable Guy ever!!!!! That was so nice to see! "Here's a comment card. Please mail it in when I am done." "This go to your boss?" "No it goes to me." I dont know why but I laugh at that line every single time
Ok. That’s it. Guess I gotta watch Midnight Run now lol. Great list as always! Was so glad to see My Cousin Vinny so high! My absolute favorite comedy without question!
Great list ! I see that you have Meet The Parents, but what are your thoughts on Meet The Fockers? I personally have always loved it more than the original, and is probably the film I have laughed at the most
Dude!!! You and I have two very big things in common. I too grew up with Dutch and watch it every thanksgiving and the Ref (criminal that It never made it to Blu-ray). I have an original one piece 27x40 poster for the ref. Criminally underrated film.
Missed your videos man 🤟🏾🤟🏾
Could easily fit 10 Jim Carrey movies in here! Love American Pie. Probably my favourite comedy side to Liar Liar. Great video brother
Liking the new transitions man, looks cool. What are you using for them?
Shocked there was no old school. I just remember you loving it when talking about it on ur movies that need a sequel video. I personally am a huge Superbad fan! Great list tho! Gonna haven check out a few I haven’t seen
It was in my draft list
Thank you for mentioning dutch!!!! I love that movie!!! It is so underrated!!!
Love that blue streak made the list!
BROTHA, I just watched chef and I loved it , thank your showing me this movie
Here are my top five (right now): The City Lights, His Girl Friday, A Fish Called Wanda, Shaun of the Dead and Annie Hall.
Midnight Run is one of those classics that's somehow flown under the radar. It is a classic, though. Definitively.
THIS IS A GREAT LIST MAN! i agree with American Pie, Encino Man, American Pie 2 (and yes i agree its better than the 1st but i still really love the first) Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy, The 40 year old virgin, THOSE ARE ALL AMAZING MAN! i love the stuff you put out and also some of the stuff on your list now gives me ideas on what comedy movies that i havent seen that i need to for instants Fast Times at Ridgemont high, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, Saving silverman and MORE but i got a question and this list is your opinion but still just wondering where's Superbad like thats prob my favorite comedy but i dont know i just thought it would be on here but its your opinion and I STILL RESCPECT IT ALL!
