I'm glad Dr. Strangelove and Animal House were at the top of the list. I think "It's a mad, mad, mad world" should be higher, also "Some like it hot", and a few I would have added Operation Petticoat with Tony Curtis and Cary Grant, and The Russian's are coming. They should show the funniest scene from "The Producer's, which is the song "Spingtime for HItler".
If you are saying funniest movies, nothing comes close to Borat. It is the riskiest, funniest and most creative comedy movie and on top of that it is without a hint of corniness, unlike 99% of comedies
Some good ones here. 25% are purgeworthy IMHO, but I believe that is merely chalked up to generational preference. Regret missing Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men, Meatballs (highly quotable), Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Cheers to all...laughter is the best medicine.

I'm biase because my father the late Harvey Korman/Gene Wilder,M.Kahn,Mel Brooks were the hearts and soul of the movie along with Cleavon Little .I Will say this its hard to find another movie with greater ensemble of talent brought together.

I've seen a big percentage of these and 'the wrong guy' is definitely a lot funnier then a lot of movies on this list and it isn't even mentioned this list shouldn't be called 100 funniest movies it should be called 100 well known comedy movies its just a list of well known comedy movies rather then the funniest tons of less well known comedy movies didnt make this list not because they are less funny but just less well known.
P.S Ferris Bueller is a good movie, but how can you possibly say it was Objectively a funnier movie than Dumb and Dumber? Groundhog Day also, its not remotely funny?

There's no comedy in it at all, it's a serious movie semi-based on real events about a stalker obsessed with a talk show host. I swear you listed it because the title is confusing :)
