Schedules are easily the greatest form of entertainment. When I’m bored and need something to keep me occupied, I don’t pick up my phone, turn on my PlayStation, stream a show, or read a book or anything like that. I grab the nearest calendar and peruse the holidays for each month. It truly is the nectar of the gods

What is Phil yapping about. Fandoms have always existed, for better or for worse. Niche communities were always a thing. This isn't something new. The only thing that has changed is that those communities are just much bigger now and they get more content.

Here's a thing, if i was being given every game, you'd easily get an honest review out of me for any of them. If my opinion of the game, had to factor in how much I made playing it. I'd be DSP, striking the game down, or quitting it because "support" is down.
The big content creators arent being made or broken because of how good or bad ANY game is. DSP's whole business seems to hinge on every games release schedule.
If he were as really as entertaining and as "meaingful to his audience" as he likes to think he is, he could play free games as his gimmick and make a living doing it.
And at this point his game libraries got to be immense. He could go back to it any of those hundred games that he owns.. but no, he's a one and done type of guy. Unless there's "support" to be had of course. Like him replaying the souls games.

That hype Phil misses is anti-consumer. It still exists a little, but it's good that it's not like it was before. It makes people buy things because of peer pressure or because there's no viable alternative, rather than because they like that kind of thing. For example, the Sierra-style adventure game existed for ten years even though almost everyone hated them because there were so few other computer games on the market.

The server browser is the best, most consistent way of getting into multiplayer. His 'modern matchmaking' totally breaks down when not that many people are playing.

This lone schedule segment is one of the worst moments of the year so far. He is tweaking so badly and having a meltdown over a couple games. Saying that he just wants to get these games over with shows that he doesn’t enjoy them. He just wants to play them to maximize the amount of money he gets and then move onto the next game on the conveyor belt. His gacha mobile game addiction has seriously affected his ability to enjoy things long term. He needs that immediate gratification.

Haven't preordered a game since Resident Evil 6 (2012).
Imagine being in the let's play/streaming business for over a decade but constantly falling behind the changes in the industry and always suffering for it - while other streamers/let's players *who came up long after you did* are able to succeed and thrive by - dramatic gasp - *keeping up with the industry.*
But of course, none of it is Piggy's fault. He did nothing wrong, he did everything correct, he was blocking, there was lag, and the other streamers were using online patterns while spamming jabs, obviously.
Well I would say that there's a reason why Streamers play singleplayer games for two streams and then stop as well as why people watching it goes down. In majority of cases it is because you want to see how is the game. If you would like it and then just buy and play. You don't want to see whole story for the game you might like playing

He always acts like the situation he’s in is someone else’s fault. And it’s clear he absolutely hates RPGs, especially ones that require you to think and reason. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even like video games, at least not anymore. It’s just so funny how he acts like he has no control of what he does or plays on his streams, and his sole motivation is money while pretending it isn’t and he has some sort of moral compass, which he does not. No passion or ambition for anything, so he’ll suffer through things he hates just so people will throw some pity bucks his way, while also blaming those same people of his own failures and short comings. What a vile person he is.

So basically what I got from his rant is him complaining that he can't keep up with trends at all because he's so slow with not only playthroughs, but the fact that new stuff comes out all the time so people like to learn about what the new things are. He can't fathom just playing whatever has his interests at the time and not focusing on what's the new games coming out to play it day 1 because he just does it for money. Every choice he makes for his streams are the same ones that keep putting him in these positions and he doesn't get it.

I've only been paying mildly consistent attention to DSP shenanigans for a few months and I've seriously heard him say "oh no, donations are down" about 50 times.

I think Phil associates finishing games with being a better gamer.
What’s happening at this point in time with Phil is he is getting to the tipping point to where he doesn’t want to play games anymore. That’s basically what it boils down to. If you notice his trend from the past year he has been trying to do these oddball side gigs that can help bring him revenue in without him playing games anymore and that’s what he’s trying to break out in. When a very hyped game is about to come out and it flops for him, i think it mentally crushes his plans and this is what it’s led up to now. Look at him playing BG3, that’s his cash grab right now and he HATES playing it but yet it makes the most money, if I was him I would just soak that up and just keep trucking along. He’s been super passive on his tekken gameplay that I legit think he enjoys that game but there is no support at all so he was forced to drop it lmao. Everything is catching up with him and maybe he’ll realize it’s the streamer who’s terrible and not the games.

Such a stupid plan. Atlus goes into this somewhat but it makes so much more sense to keep going with Dragon's Dogma 2 on day streams and Baldur's Gate or Like a Dragon at night until he finishes one or the other. Day two hype exists (or at least it could for some streamers) and he is losing any chance of someone from day one sticking around when he announces he won't touch Dragon's Dogma again for a week or whatever. Stupid or self-sabotage? As always, both.
