I've heard that hot water opens the pours for an easier shave. Also that cold water does the opposite... it closes the pours and avoids ingrown hairs. I finish every shave with a splash of cold water before applying the after lotion. I recommend a cold water rinse prior to a second pass. Perhaps the how/warm shower can wait until after the first shave and prior to the second shave.
At :50 seconds the classic face look of a blade that is pulling and tugging.

He probably just moved the razor too fast, I use gentle down strokes only, put on unscented lotion after, and my face is shave bump free

At least he should have trimmed it before even shaving. I have a better tip. If you have a long beard or thick or coarse beard, use a beard trimmer or a straight razor.
iam new to the shaving thing, iam wondering, if the shave is perfect. why i cant see the area with color indicate where the hair was? doesnt a perfect shave leave a skin looks like there is no hair ever grown there before?

I don't understand why Gillette doesn't reissue their safety razors in the U.S and Canada, there is a huge market for it as well as the safety razor with a single blade is far superior to this cartridge stuff, cheaper too. More blades is not better, a single sharp blades is much better than 5 mediocre blades. It causes less irritation and pull and leaves the skin far less damaged. This guy had wicked irritation on his face but also on his neck.

Gillette was making money when they were making safety razors and blades...but they found out they can even make even more money by making proprietary cartridge razors...why charge .30 for a blade when you can charge $4 for a cartridge?

Use a trimmer to take off excessive hair. Short, light strokes have less drag, especially on first pass. Always re-lather when shaving against the grain.

finally if you want the babysmooth against the grain ...again rinse blade often

I always tray to shave perfect clean that make my face like little boy with smooth face but always some tiny hair remain on chin after shave...it you pressure yourself with razor too much it cause red skin so I ma happy with normal shave, no need of fully clean little boy face
This is a true story whether you now love or hate Proctor and Gamble (makers of Gillette). A friend and I were hired as an advanced clean-up repair crew for a Christian camp. We arrived in early Spring and proceeded to work. One day I got oil paint in about a week's worth of scruff (whiskers). My friend said "Use the foamy it will take it off." He was joking but I thought he was serious so I tried it and it took it right off just like a paint thinner or solvent. Now I ask you - regardless of how you now view Gillette - would you really want to keep using that on your face? And what about the products for ladies? And girls - if Gillette's stuff is that toxic for men don't believe their stuff for you is any better!
Well I don't know but gilette foam or gel burns the face off me and leaves my face looking like a mad man's backside with shave rash so I use shaving soap now and no trouble.

I thought rinsing your blade in a basin with water already in it can cause a skin infection?
We suggest you rinse your blades in the way you feel most comfortable. The gentleman in this video personal preference is just to use a separate container to rinse in.

Gillette I have watched the video in link but it is always a bit of skin on the right of my face that gets nicked, never the left one. I use a Mach 3, lubricate with Gillette Sensitive Aloe Vera and moisturuse after but I still end up nicked. How often should I change the blades, I shave about every second day.
For crying out loud use a DE safety razor and get a real shave, lol!

Well watching your video it doesn't look like you shave very often! Try a DE razor for shaving your face and it will love you for it, and your wallet will love it for all the money you'll save by not buying those EXPENSIVE cartridge razor blades, unless you have lots of money just burning a hole in your pocket???

How to Get the Perfect Shave? Use a double edge razor with a nice brush and a famous shaving soap. Avoid Gillette razors and don't use this shaving gels.

What a horrible waste of copious amounts of shave gel. He could have taken a all over body bath and shampoo with that amount of shave gel
You will notice every time Gillette make a video, there's a guy who uses gel that much. It's a classic marketing strategy, which will make you think "the more gel, the better". Let's not get fooled.

Guillete is focusing on the looks chrome handle bright color luxury looks 5 blades now come on guillete I am a fan and mostly got all your razor but the quality of the blades are bad I mean bad. I will do a test video one side all my 13 and 16 dollars expensive guillete razor on the other side and in the other side just one halhalf of feather blade and see the results
