Yeah you have to be really careful when first starting out because it'll cut you so easily if you don't do it right.
Yes definitely takes a bit of practice and patience at the beginning however once mastered it’s the best tool for lining up your beard.
Just got mine for Christmas, finished with 7 cuts, one being the full length of the blade, just poor angles, cane to CZcams right after and am doing a bit of learning first 🤣🤣🤣

@@tannerdavis2678 that’s gonna be me too probs I ordered blades yesterday 😂
No shit
Me doing this while holding the 911 dispatcher while I shave.

Just followed these steps as carefully as I could in the bathroom a few minutes ago… safe to say I now understand how to safely use a razor to shape my beard! So so so helpful, thanks a lot🙏🏾
Appreciate the feedback 🙏
Bro was flexing whenhe started shaving 💀
The problem is people try to go wayyyyyyyyy too fast when they’re first starting out.
Practice and patience is key to mastering this tool 👍
Thanks brother
Bro you didn't set the blade right when you closed the back lock. It's actually set uneven at the end.

I'm literally about to use mine tomorrow, this helps so much! Cheers from New York!
Appreciate it Louis 🙏
The Turkish code is the best code in the world 🤩
thank you for this video, I've been doing my hubbys hair n beard at home with trimmers n disposable razors switching to this metal razor hopefully il be able to use it properly 😅
With a bit of practice and patience I’m sure you will master this tool, good luck and here if you need any tips 👍
Aww, thats so adorable ❤
No better blade in earth.
Great beard
I love the cut throat razor only for mine a few months ago and I cut myself to peices when I first used it there just so sharp man ha getting used to it now love how clean and crispy I can cut lines with it
how many shaves does it takes to learn to shave with it?
@@new25651 I just got mine tonight and didn't cut myself at all. It felt natural to use... But apparently ppl cut themselves for 2 weeks
@@new25651Once you master the angles and the right amount of pressure to apply to your skin you can learn it pretty fast. It’s important to take your time at the beginning when learning to use this tool as patience is key 👌
Your a natural 👊
@@russellsshaveclub you da man
Me watching this while my cheeks are bleeding
Where can i get that oil
this knife/ ustra blade if we used in home first time is this safe?
Just use the weight of the blade. 👍🏻. So if the hair doesn’t get cut the 1st time, there was too much hair for the blade to cut the 1st time and you need to go over it again .
I bought a similar razor and didn’t read the instructions quite right- didn’t spilt the double edge razor in half. This explains my very terrible attempt 🤦
Completely unrelated to the shaving - Where can I find that shirt?
No worries, it’s from Abercrombie 👊
nice
He makes it look easy. I just tried and cut myself 😣
use ladies facial razor 😄..like sirona.
it is with safety..I am using it and gives best result..

what guard is your beard btw?? i like it exactly like this!!
Approximately 4-5mm 👍
I too ordered this one, used it on my throat hair and it was literally soo good it cut very nicely there and that's why i died ! Lovely razor
Bro i used many times rozor for beard shape now I'm scared if my beard grows all over face
How often should you change the blade? After every use?
Depending on the blade and your beard approx every 3-5 shaves or when you feel the blade tugging or causing discomfort.
beautiful beard bro

Me who's watching this without beard 😅
What can I practice on if not my skin?
Practice first without a blade in until you are more comfortable with holding the razor and how much pressure to apply. Remember not to press to hard, allow the weight of the razor to do the work. You got this 👍💪
Are you drawing that knife the right way :/? I ask sincerely and out of concern. I would think with a cutthroat razor, you'd angle the blade down, like a scraper...?
Yes I am angling the blade correctly. the razor is at approximately 30 degree angle. Been using the straight razor on my self and many clients for 17 years.
I just used it. I used too much pressure. I should have watched the video first. I used it under my beard on my throat.
I hope the video helps and your next shave goes better 👍
@@russellsshaveclub My face was a bit raw but no cuts. Going to keep practicing.
👍👍
use balloons to practice... :D
You cant clog a straight razor.
Looks like you are stretching the skin. Maybe mention that as well
Yes very good point, stretching the skin is important. I will make a more in-depth updated video soon 👍
Were can i buy that blade set up he has? Ebay?
😊

Seriously why don’t you go with Gillette Fusion?
Because that will not shape your beard as precisely as a cut-throat razor will, which is why this tool is used by barbers.
@@russellsshaveclub ok
That's a shavette
It is indeed 👍
Shavette and not a cut-throat razor. Good video though
Correct however most refer to it as a straight edge cut-throat razor 👍
I’d buy a vintage straight razor tho
Get ready for a scar the size of Nebraska on your left cheek
They look great but not practical for day to day use to get a clean crisp shave as they need a lot of stropping and honing etc, the changeable razor blades you can get on the market today are so sharp
It’s a more enjoyable shaving experience.
That blade should not
Be out that much means the razor bad quality
18 years barbering experience using a straight razor and that’s definitely not the case. These razors are extremely high quality.
@Russell's Shave Club you do, most don't as far as I can't tell
Terrifying.....
Too much curve
Do I need a protractor to get the correct 📐 angle?
